Kilwins is always a fun stop, especially the moment you walk through the door. The smell of freshly…read moremade waffle cones fills the air, and the display of chocolates, fudge, and other sweet treats is hard to resist. The line was fairly long when I visited, but it moved quickly thanks to the efficient staff. This time I tried the Georgia Peach ice cream. It was good and definitely hit the spot, though I have to admit I left thinking that Tillamook's Sweet Cream Peach back home is still my favorite peach ice cream. Even so, Kilwins delivers exactly what you'd hope for: quality ice cream, a great atmosphere, and plenty of tempting treats beyond just the frozen desserts. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

A few friends and I celebrated a birthday dinner here, and overall, we had a great experience! The…read moretables are very close together, which makes the atmosphere quite intimate -- perfect for a cozy night out. We started our evening with the eggplant appetizer. We tried two of the specials: the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, which was absolutely delicious, and the chicken saltimbocca, which was fantastic -- by far the best dish of the night. We also had the cacio e pepe pasta, which unfortunately missed the mark. It was extremely undercooked -- even hard to cut with a butter knife -- so that was a bit disappointing. That said, everything else was wonderful! The desserts were outstanding -- their tartufo is unique and not like others I've had, and the Nutella ricotta pie was my absolute favorite. Very rich, very sweet, and a generous portion. Despite the pasta hiccup, we really enjoyed our meal and would absolutely come back again! Oddly they don't have a cappuccino maker and no regular coffee-just espresso I believe.

The carbonara was made nicely and didn't feel too heavy like other places. I thought the red sauce pastas were a bit lacking in flavor. Amatriciana didn't have any spice. Pomodoro needed some salt. Romaine salad was small and had too many croutons. Eggplant was delicious. We went during the day so there wasn't much ambiance perse. It is run by a family, and they were attentive. They are very serious about their work and respecting Italian traditions, which is commendable!
