Absolutely horrible experience. The driver said he could help me in finding a local tire place to help fix a flat tire. When we arrived, the service department immediately said that there was no way they would be able to help because the driver did not give them the correct information, leaving me stranded hours from home. While my car was still on the bed of the tow truck, I asked if I could be towed to the suggested dealership location and the tow truck driver refused and unloaded my car. This was all after I paid, so of course I was going to pay for services. I just wanted to not be stranded and left at a place that he told me could help. read more

On 17 May 2025 my right rear tire decided to Blow Out. The State Trooper who stopped by was very helpful and contacted Riehl's Towing to send a Flatbed to get my 2008 Ford E-150 van and me to SAFETY. Your driver, AJ, was on site within 20 minutes and got the van loaded and off the Turnpike like MAGIC. the office staff was friendly. the workers were very ignorant and didn't want to help anyone. my son was in a horrible accident and was in the hospital I had to go remove his belongings from the car. one staff member just stood there because he thought I was taking too long and I asked for help opening the truck and he said he had no idea. finally he was tired of waiting for me because it was apparently his lunch time. he finally called for help and the 2nd guy came over and said it didn't open because the battery had died he jumped the battery I kept thanking them even after they were being ignorant and the one employee said well you didn't get my bill yet I charge extra for that. the car was totalled and it would like like whoever was inside that car would have serious injuries the employees had no empathy. Worst tow company ever. Hopefully you won't have to use this company. We were in an accident in Deptford and the car got towed here. We didn't have a choice but I would absolutely refuse a tow here in the future. Owner will yell at you. Will take your money and tell you to shut your mouth and get off his property. Will take your money and attempt to not give you back your car!! Be aware! Shop has contract with Deptford police. They should relook over that contract bc this guy is doing whatever he wants, he's a scam! Makes us his own rules as he goes along and makes up his prices. If you question the prices he will become very defensive but not have real answers. His response for everything is you can get off my property. Guys had my car for a while and I'm from NYC I asked the guys can I pay my card they agreed as long as I do the credit debit authorization form after doing that they told me the balance is too high make payment in person. I get to Jersey the whole encounter started of real rude from the receptionist to the manager and owner all rude they tell me I can't use my card because they deal with a lot of fraud. I honestly think being black played a big part! I had to go to my bank to withdraw north of 3,700 then come back once they saw cash they tried to be respectful! The driver, Angel, was SO reassuring, nice, kind, talked me through what he was doing, and a great conversationalist!!! I felt like I had always known him, yes, he was that friendly!!! Nov 1, 2020 my husband & I were involved in an accident with a deer at approximately 2:30 AM on the NJTP, which doesn't allow AAA to tow. Riehl's is the preferred towing company for the NJTP, the tow truck driver who arrived was rude & disrespectful, angry because he was called out of his bed. I don't know if he was under the influence or mad because he wasn't. It was cold and the engine was running to keep us warm then he started fussing about the motor running & how the car could blow up & kill him on the road. If he doesn't know the difference between steam from antifreeze & smoke leading to a fire he shouldn't tow. We asked if he could just tow us just off of the turnpike because we couldn't pick where we wanted our SUV to go, he again became nasty shouting he can't do that it has to go to the tow yard. While I tried to get important things out of the SUV he started arguing about us wasting his time & holding him up & started loading the SUV onto the truck with me still in it. I will contact the NJTP about this behavior since they contracted this company to tow for them. After reading the BBB reports Reihl's already knows this man is rude, disrespectful & nasty. He was even disrespectful to the officer on scene like he had no fear. When my husband called the office the next day they were respectful & helpful. So I am a type 1 diabetic and I had an issue with my blood sugar dropping to 25 I almost died I drove into a field and was transported to a hospital the place were my car waa roughly 2.3 miles away from the towing place and my car is a Kia spectre literally a tiny car! I drive a tractor trailer and broke down on the NJ turnpike. Unfortunately they were the only ones around. When driver arrived he was very very hateful. Like he just hated even being there. After a while I he asked me if I was vaccinated before getting in truck. I replied no and he was very rude about asking me to wear a mask. I told him no problem. When I asked if he was vaccinated he rudely responded yea and proceeded to threaten to call the cops for some reason. After getting hooked up he was adamant about payment and threatened to repo truck if not paid before truck was dropped at a dealer. His boss was very rude as well. My company pays their bills on time and every time. I told him as did the company you don't get paid until after the job is done. They were hollering and threatened to tow to their lot. I can only give 1 star. These people are some of the most ignorant rude people you will ever meet. Then they act like they are doing you a favor by waiting for a few minuets. Called this company because my car stopped working on 295 and the rep. Was rude from the start. He asked me what did I want, I told him my situation "my car stopped working, It stopped on 295 south marker 11, i have (2) children in the car (1) was 7 weeks, weather in NJ was 92 degrees." He was like "okay, what town are you in" I said " I'm sorry I'm not from NJ, I don't know. He said "well neither am I, I'm a rep for the company and live in Colorado so I can't help you if you don't know" he than asked what was wrong with the vehicle, my husband was in the background coaching me because I know nothing about cars and he said "if you can't answer the questions by yourself than you shouldn't be talking. I was shocked that he would say that so my husband said "can you get a tow to drop us off at a dealership", he said "no because all the dealerships are closed" we said that's fine. We just need the car dropped off at a shop and he said "no, can't do it, besides we're busy, you can try and call someone else" I told him my battery was dying, I reminded him I had two kids in the car. He wasted time asking all these questions entertaining a chance at a tow and at the end he couldn't help us. I would not recommend this company. This company has two locations one in Pennsville and the one in Paulsboro. They must pay off local officials to get business by default . Their prices are outrageous . this has to be the worst tow company i have ever dealt with, not only are their prices ridiculous, they are scamming charging "cleaning fees" that were done by state workers and police, they charged me a $75 clean up fee (which there were 3 girls on sight who did the cleaning themselves and they put gravel on the ground which i was charged an additional $45 for) i called and i was laughed at like i was a joke, i was then told "well i dont like how your talking to me so i might go ahead and throw an extra charge of $45 on there for administration fees" the guy name frank literally threatened me on the phone that he would continue to add bogus charges if i didnt stop complaining, i asked him to be a human being and help me out and he said "better luck next time" ive never been so disrespected by a company in my life, they purposely preeing on people in difficult times and will charge whatever they feel necessary!!!!!! i feel like i have been scammed and i would advise no one !!!! absolutely no one !!!!! ever use this company please i rather you push your car by hand then to allow these scamming people to touch your car, they add so many fees in hopes that you never go get the car back. frank is the nastiest man ive ever spoken to in my life. read more
