After a bad experience from a similar store, we decided to drive here and visit the place. I was shocked at how organized and clean this place is. Walked in and was helped right away. Husband was able to check out some riffles and handguns and purchased. Since we have LTC it was a breeze. All we had to do was complete the form and all done. The sales agent was very helpful and answered all the questions and concerns. This is actually the 2nd time my husband purchased from them. Maybe due to this he the sales agent gave us free stuff! I recently took the Basic Pistol course with Kyle. Not only was he knowledgeable and professional he made the class interesting and engaging. He really worked with us showing us the proper shooting techniques and correcting any issues he saw. He was very patient and at no time did I feel rushed or pressured for time. The ranges were very clean and well lit as was the classroom. And all the employees I dealt with were accommodating and personable. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Today I went in to see if I could sell a revolver of mine, I decided that I figured it would be fair to trade my revolver for the rifle I sold the day prior as the manager told a staff member there to give me the same sale price for the weapon of $250. I asked to speak to him and if I could trade in my revolver for the rifle that I had sold for $250... the manager told me that I would need to pay $500 in total, meaning that I'd need to pay another $250 to get the rifle I sold, back. I talked for him for about an hour asking if I could simply pay the cost of placing the item for sale online, which he said was roughly an hour of work between a few employees. I told him I'd pay the hour of wages to return my rfile and trade in the revolver. He would not budge until he dropped it to $400 claiming he was givintg me a discount on the item that I simply wanted to trade back for the revolver, since he'd given me the same pricing for both. I asked him prior if the work hours of putting the rilfe online was worth 250 dollars and which employee, if any was being offered that hourly wage. I asked if any additional work had been put into maintaining the weapon, such as cleaning or refubishment, to which he denied. Even at $400, an employee would need to be making $150 an hour in order to rake up the price on the weapon I simply wanted returned to me either as a trade in for the revolver or just to buy it back in full. He refused to give me the estimated value of employee wages in order to come up with an amenable price to compensate for employee time and man hours of work and reminded him repeatedly that he'd still be making a roughly equivalent profit if he was selling the revolver or the rifle online for $500 as he had said he was. He threatened to have me removed from the premesis and was somewhat rude the whole time while I attempted to reason with him about the price, which he said was simply me arguing with him and being unreasonable. Hi David, Thanks for responding. However, there are no exaggerated claims. Your store does sell display guns without notifying the customer (as sales manager kyle pointed out) because you don't feel like it is needed to let the customer know if it's been handled like a display gun or not. It's not just my review who points this out by the way. You did sell me damaged merchandise. Mossberg has all the information on one item if you'd like that provided. Your store does charge a 15% restocking fee no matter how much the accessory costs. That is only usually heard of when a purchase is bigger than $500 at any other established business so that's not exaggerated. Your store does not refund guns no matter if they've been fired or not. That's not an exaggeration. (also keep in mind this isn't even a bad trait. It is if you sold me DAMAGED display merchandise without notice though) So therefore, there are no exaggerations. It's just the way you do business and the way my expectations are above the "level of service" you guys provide. It's also quite hilarious how your employees keep voting down the review I posted (and every 1-2 star review on here). Feels like a massive waste of time considering they it could be spent on training on how to solve problems. Not sure how that shows favorably on business etiquette, or the training your boys on proper net etiquette on an establishment with an online presence, but I'm not here to argue. People can decide that for themselves. Refute if you want (there's nothing to refute), there is only transparency with me and your establishment. It seems like you and your middle management have no intent on even talking about the problems presented which to say the least, is extremely shady. Maybe work on training management that reviews and customer complaints are nothing personal, and just business? That would be a stellar start I wish you the best of luck as well. We purchased 2 handguns at the old location. We tried the shooting range last weekend and were disappointed. The range and facility is very nice, but the range staff was unprofessional. They do not require masks in the range area (they do require throughout the store). The range monitor wore his mask below the chin which was useless. In addition he was very condescending to my wife who has been shooting for several years and is a very good shot. He tried to correct her stance and how she held her handgun. We were hoping this would be an alternative to the Frisco Gun club because it was a little closer, but we won't be back. Male gun enthusiasts need to enter the 21st century and realize that women understand weapons and can shoot and don't need to be coached. read more

After waiting 40 minutes for a rifle bay to open up, I was asked to present the ammo I would be shooting. This is normal procedure for any place when I tell them I am shooting 7.62x39. 7.62x39 is mostly steel case. Instead of saying sorry you can't shoot steel case here. Which has never been an issue anywhere else when it comes to AK rounds. The guy behind the counter took out a magnet to show me that my rounds supposedly had a steel core in them??? I don't shoot green tips at a range they were regular Tula rounds that can be found just about anywhere. Maybe not with these ammo shortages but nonetheless. I had two different brands off ammo as well one being hollow point and again did not pass his magnet test. I asked him to show me the rounds he was trying to sell me on. Of course they were brass rounds hence why they weren't as magnetic. Plus brass is no good for an AK extractor. Basically he tried to sell me rounds I did not need that looked home made. I will never buy a gun here again or go to this range. Put a very sour taste in my mouth. I don't recommend this location to anyone. Also make sure to mention you are shooting 7.62x39 before you wait for a lane to open up, and maybe you'll witness the stupidest use of a magnet I have ever seen. All in all I was turned away not because my rounds had a steel case, but because his magical magnet told him all my rounds had a "steel core". I was told my bullets would mess up their back stop. Pictures of the rounds that did not pass his magnet test and labeled as steel core rounds are below. It is odd that magnets stick to a steel case. Makes sense since you can't reload steel casings they don't allow them. Brass is reloadable so they can sell the cases. Plus they have brass 7.62x39 behind the counter if you want to pay a small fortune and mess up your gun. This place is just trying to make a sale and that's really it. read more

I too ordered an accessory from there website almost two weeks ago and never received any tracking info. I called the store earlier this week and an associate stated it was to arrive today. I called today and the sales manager advised it won't actually be arriving until Monday. This is a HUGE inconvenience as I planned other things in the area. It's a mixed bag here. I got a fair price on my 1st pistol here and had a decent experience with another I got here. The check-in to get helped process is kind of a beating and no they aren't biting at the bit to jump out and help you. When ive shot here, I didn't really appreciate having to inspect ammo to look for steel, this can be done with a 'reminder, you can only shoot brass' and an RSO can see that clearly anyway. Today I wanted to rent a couple pistols I've had my eye on, not cheap, so wanted to be sure. I didn't bring my own pistols as I just wanted to concentrate on these two to see if I wanted to buy either. Apparently, you can't rent a gun from these guys if you are alone, and don't have another firearm with you. Concern over a rent and suicide apparently. OK, your guns, your rules but seems like something an anti-gun side of the spectrum would say. No, not driving an hour round trip to get one of my guns, and, no, won't be buying that Shadow or Staccato thanks to this waste of time. Be sure and bring a friend and or one of your own or you're going to be leaving frustrated. read more

Why pay retail for wholesale service?... and why buy a gun from people that lie to you? These guys expect a retail price, but won't let you hold a gun with the magazine in until AFTER you've purchased it. How well the gun fits your hand is an important buying criteria. For Five-seven I was considering, the magazine is integrated with the bottom of the grip in a way that without the magazine, my hand was hanging off the bottom of the grip. In a lesser point, the total weight of the gun is a major selling point of this model. I don't expect them to let me assess the fully loaded weight in the store, but I'd have liked to assess the relative weights of the guns with the magazine in. I raised these points with the salesman, and they defended their policy as a "safety issue". THIS WAS AN OBVIOUS LIE because a) the store has a great selection of revolvers that anyone interested in malfeasance could hold/load and b) it's relatively easy to load and fire one round from an automatic without the magazine. The truth is that magazines are controlled to prevent shoplifting. Put it all together, and they charge a retail price that includes a mark-up for some inventory shrinkage, while avoiding that cost with a significant sacrifice to your ability to assess the product, and then they cover that unethical business model with an outright lie. read more

Incredibly nice range with plenty of room to move in the rifle bays. Very comfortable shooting experience. 100 yard indoor lanes with very clear high resolution target cameras, what's not to like about that?! The gun store portion of the shop is well stocked and the staff knowledgeable. I wish it were closer to me being that this range is about a 45 minutes drive for me. I do however still feel like it's worth the drive and would recommend this range to others. read more

My family and I have been coming to this shooting range for about a month to practice shooting accuracy and we get the same excellent service from everyone, everytime. They are gun experts and love to share their knowledge about any guns that you have or any guns that they have in stock. The shooting range is clean! Even the bathrooms are nice and clean! I enjoyed the range so much that I decided to take my License to Carry (LTC) proficiency test here and our instructor was Mr. Keenan He was a fantastic teacher and his commands were perfectly given one at a time. It worked out because I could focus on his commands instead of trying remember. Mr. Keenan gave us so much good info that we were really involved in conversations in the class. I've seen quite a few ranges open up in the DFW/ North Texas area in the last 20 years. If you live North of I635, between I35 and I75, you owe it to yourself to check them out. Super clean facilities, where air conditioned means air conditioned, along with a 100 yard range to sight in rifles. The staff is super friendly and professional. Inventory is pretty light, but that's everywhere. Highly recommend checking them out! read more

WHY would i bring someone else in with me. i brought my boyfriend bc i don't want to go alone anywhere. i am not sure why i have to explain myself. i am a 22 year old woman who wanted to protect myself with a weapon and i have every right to do that. you can say it's a straw sale all you want, your employees were being racist and when i confronted him about the fact that he pressed me for 10 minutes on why there was someone in my car hunched over looking suspicious.. and the 17 questions he asked. i brought my boyfriends step mom with me and even she said the manager was contradicting himself constantly. he then changed the entire situation to revolve around the fact that i didn't know the name of the gun. i ordered it 3 weeks ago and i obviously didn't want to say something random and sound stupid. lol i've never purchased a gun before. you guys made it unpleasant. the employees went outside to look at my vehicle more than once. this is nothing other than prejudice white people. and I am WHITE. RifleGear is serious about safety, and that is one of the reasons why Hubby and I love this range. We witnessed a guy a few bays down negligently discharge his pistol yesterday. He fired into the ceiling of the next bay while stuggling with his pistol. The RSO immediately stopped him and sent him to the lobby where he was promptly checked out and removed from the range.
