Everyone who works there is professional with safety as the literal top priority. I taught my kids to shoot there. In past ~5 years or so, builders have built homes about a mile away. Northwest ISD has built a school. Country acreage and fields still surround on all sides. Two bullets were found at the new school, and the assumption is that it was bullets from the public range which has tall berms and does not directly have line of aim to the school. This range's presence is not a safety issue. For folks are concerned about this, consider having NISD foot the bill to build bigger berms or indoor shooting range for Quail Creek. Why not? NISD is already spending our tax money like water.

Northwest ISD says it tried to work with the owner on safety improvements and couldn't even get a commitment. The district isn't asking to shut the range down. They're asking for reasonable safety measures to keep bullets from leaving the property. How is that even controversial? Every gun owner knows you are responsible for where your rounds go. If there's a credible possibility rounds from my range could be reaching a middle school, I'm doing everything possible to make sure it can never happen again. I'm not making the school district sue me. I support gun ranges. I want this one to stay open. But responsible gun ownership means taking safety seriously, especially when kids are involved. Fix the damn problem.

After patronizing Eagle Gun Range, I agree with the high rating. The attendant, an older gentleman with blue eyes and well kept hair and appearance answered all my questions politely. He informed me of their membership options without being pushy. They even let you shoot forced reset trigger/bump stock and shotguns in their indoor facility which I perceive to be a bit rare these days. I didn't have the full auto weapons but nice to know they allow it. I did enjoy my experience. Prices are probably in line with the market. Gun range shooting is never going to be the cheapest outing, but in the opinion of me and other citizens, it's a necessity to be able to practice our constitutional rights to shoot a gun. It had been probably a year or two since the last time I went shooting, but Eagle will be our place going forward. I recommend it highly.

They are very thorough, helpful safe ,friendly and knowledgeable about the subject matters necessary for LTC. Most of all they are very caring and genuine! Deb and Lee were very efficient and organized. It was fun being in the class. Both have a great sense of humor. Especially, loved Lee's jokes! I know there are LTC Online classes available out there. But in my opinion, if you have the time , and you're in the DFW area. I highly recommend taking their class. It's definitely worth it!!

He said he's been shooting for about 40 years, and his knowledge and expertise is impressive. He went over some basics, and then we did different shooting drills that were much more interesting than just target shooting in an indoor range. I already knew shooting was not automatic for me. I had some bad habits. Well, maybe I had a lot of bad habits. Sandy assesses your level: beginner, intermediate, expert. Then he helps you make your gun handling and shooting MUCH more smooth and effective. In my case, I signed up for a private lesson. As a woman, I was used to shooting rifles (had livestock and therefore problem predators occasionally), but not my handguns. When I bought a new handgun, I wanted to get training on handling and shooting it, quickly, effectively, and accurately. That's what I'm getting. And can't believe what I've learned already to prevent jamming, to increase speed while keeping accuracy, etc. And his rates? Very affordable. And great gun range out in the country: perfect place to learn. Sandy teaches all levels, from beginners to professionals, from personal protection to concealed carry. I know a good instructor when I see one. Very methodical, starts from where you are, helps you correct what you need to, allows you to repeat until you develop "second nature," and then advances you to the next step to meet your identified goals. Time went pretty quick and I learned a lot in that amount of time. The shooting portion of the class was fun as well!
