We went today for 3, $10 meatball spuckies and I got the Rigatoni Alfredo broccoli chicken. We got 2 for someone else and 1 for us. I can't or we can't say enough about the food and service we received!!! The food was awesome, the service was just ad awesome. First time I ordered food here, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. The portions are big and I am obsessed with the GRAVY! I grew up in NYC amongst a lot of Italian neighbors and friends and I truly enjoyed all the great Italian eats. I've been underwhelmed by much of the Italian restaurants and pizza around NH. Not much of it is akin to what I had growing up in NYC. The Rig's gravy brought me right back to my childhood. It's fresh and seasoned just right. I hoard the extra gravy that is left over from the mozzarella sticks or chicken tenders and add it to pasta or spoon it. Typically, I'm not a big fan of cream sauces like alfredo, but Rig's tortellini with pesto is delicious. The pesto brings a great balance to the richness of the cream sauce. The pizzas are also very good. The cheesesteak spucky is my kid's favorite item. My other kid loves the meat pizza. I also love the takeaway fridge that they stock with ready made meals like eggplant or chicken parm, mac n cheese, soups, etc. Lastly, me-ma's cookies are da bomb! I'm not sure about the rest of the food, but they have absolutely delicious chicken pies. The pieces of chicken are numerous and big. That's the only thing we buy there. This establishment does charge a 3% credit card fee which really ticks some people off, including me. I don't really mind because I usually throw a couple dollars in the tip jar but anytime a business charges a credit card fee, do not tip for takeout. So charging a credit card fee actually saves me money in the long run. Let them use my credit card fee as a tip for the employees. Taking credit cards and paying the credit card surcharge by the restaurant is a part of doing business. Just raise your prices slightly and don't charge the credit card fee and tick people off. read more

I had a very last minute team dinner to host. I ordered a tray of the rigatoni and mac and cheese. I also ordered a chicken finger platter. I called and spoke with Tammy and asked if she could fulfill the order on less than 24 hrs notice. She said absolutely. When I picked up the order, Janna was there packaging it all up as I walked in. The first time I visited the chopped Italian salad was amazing. Then I went back a different day for another one, but sadly it was awful. None of the salad was chopped and very large pieces of lettuce were under a small amount of toppings. The best chicken parm sandwich I have had ever! So much chicken (usually a sub shop gives a couple of small strips on each half of the sandwich). This was overflowing with chicken with Just the right amount of cheese and red sauce. The only complaint is the lack of signage to let me know about this place. The sign on top of the roof says Italian take-out insmall letters, otherwise, anybody driving by wouldn't know (unless you are local). A don't miss if you are driving into Derry! read more

Ok, so I was a long time customer of Rig A Tony's. Last time I was in was 10/2022...I left disappointed, particularly in the prices...way up. So I thought I would give it one more try. One example: Online Menu says 1 meatball is $3.50 (ouch that is a lot). Go to the Derry Location , and I am told they are $4 per Meatball (double ouch), AND they are smaller than they used to be. Employee says on line must be wrong. "prices of food has gone way up"..I am thinking, yes, some have gone up, but the primary ingredient is ground beef and it is back down to normal levels. Oh, and insult to injury...took the meatballs home, warmed them in a sauce pan...cut them in 1/2 to place in a roll...middle of the meatballs were raw ...even after heating in a sauce pan. Tuscan Village in Salem, NH Meatballs are $3.00 per meatball AND they are Bigger and better than Rig a Tony's. So, I am so done with Rig A Tony's...wanted to support the business, tried, BUT clearly NOT what it used to be. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I really wanted to like their food... my husband got an Italian sub with a friend earlier in the month and said it was one of the best he's had around. So yesterday we were driving by at lunch and decided to get Italian subs. We ordered the exact same sub except he got hots and I didn't. Mine was soaking wet, soggy, the bread was disintegrating into mush as I tried to pick it up. When I tell you it was soaking wet I mean it was actually dripping. It was falling apart and I couldn't eat it. It was disgusting. Half of his was also soaking wet and the other half was fine. I don't know what you have to put on a sub to make it this way but it was gross and I won't be back and won't recommend their food to anyone. read more

We ordered an Italian sub yesterday and picked up a quart of chicken noodle soup. The soup had an expiration date the same day, but I was sick and needed chicken soup. My husband mentioned it was expiring and the guy said it's really fine even for a couple more days. That's fine, I didn't have a problem with it. I was eating it the same day. Let me stick to the homemade soup. It was made with carrots, celery, hmm maybe onion, and herbs, all in huge pieces that I had to cut up to actually eat, plus the chicken pieces were too big as well and I had to cut them up to eat the soup. The broth was however excellent. I also was not a fan (must be an Italian thing on my part) that elbow noodles were used instead on ditilini or other Italian soup pasta. Even orzo. My husbands sub I wish we took a picture. He unwrapped it, pieces of the bread weren't even big enough to cover the meat. The meat and toppings were all good but literally looked like whoever made it just threw it together. The tomato's on it were not sliced either they were almost like a tomato cut into thirds which made them not even lay on the sub and the just fell out. The whole thing was a disaster to try and eat, much that fell off had to be eaten with a fork and knife. We've come to rigatonis many times from before closing and reopening and even the previous years it was hit or miss. I gave 3 stars because I'm hoping this take out restaurant can get it together so it's not hit or miss. I don't see it happening. I do know people who do love Rigatoni's. I don't think we will be back, the prices have become to rich for our retired blood, and we can honestly make or cook it better at home which we've started doing already. I placed a catering order for a small party I was hosting and unfortunately the food was so bad that I was embarrassed to serve it to my guests. The tomato sauce was tasteless-it tasted like a canned sauce you buy at a grocery store. Pasta was overcooked and mushy. The Eggplant Parmesan was drowned in cheese. I also ordered a tray of assorted Italian cookies for $50 and what I got was a tray of crumbled Christmas cookies that I could buy for half the price at a grocery store. I expected much more for the money I paid. My guests didn't touch this food, so a lot of money went down the drain. Do not order from this place. Each pasta specialty includes a small salad with dressing and bread. The tasty food here could be mistaken for food from a fancy Italian restaurant, but the "not so fancy" Rig A'Tony's is primarily a takeout and catering business. Used to love the place and was very happy to see it reopen. Sadly my first experience with the new place may be my last. I ordered a rigatoni a la vodka and a pesto burrata salad. When I walked in to pick up the order, the man at the counter informed me they were out of burrata. This is the kind of thing you probably want to know when someone orders something, not afterwards. He offered feta or mozzarella as alternatives. I went with the mozzarella, assuming it would be fresh. It was shredded. He then put the pesto directly on top of the mozzarella which basically ensures that the pesto won't make its way onto the greens at all. Also, they should maybe put what's in the dish on the menu. I had no indication that there were Kalamata olives in the salad and I definitely would have ordered it without them. He also handed me the bag with the gloved hand he had used to spoon the pesto, and the handle of the bag was covered in it. I'm not disgusted by that but also, a little professionalism goes a long way. It's a bad look. The pasta was absolutely not what I ordered. The menu described it as prosciutto in a light pink vodka sauce. I almost wonder if I was given the wrong dish accidentally. The sauce was bland, unseasoned, separated, and not remotely pink. The prosciutto was nonexistent. About the best thing I can say about my order is that the portion size is nice, but no one wants a large portion of food that isn't good or isn't what you ordered. I'm pretty sure it only recently reopened so maybe I'll give it another try and hope that they've worked out the kinks, but I won't hold my breath. read more

I was on the phone today with my mom and she was CRAVING a meatball sandwich. I live in AZ and don't know any restaurants in Derry. After calling about 10 places I finally found Rigatonys. I spoke to Lisa to place an order for delivery. I told her I wanted to do something nice for my mom because she's 70 yrs old, stuck in her apartment, sad and depressed. Lisa was so generous and genuine hearing that and offered any help she can for anyone in the community which was a blessing to hear. She even threw in some extra goodies for my mom in her order. Turns out my mom knows Lisa through a friend too. My mom called me after her food was delivered and already was wolfin' it down as we spoke and said it was DELICIOUS. It was my first time there. I got a to go order of chicken Marsala to bring home. We shared the order and both of us agreed that it was literally the best chicken Marsala we've ever had anywhere. Rig A Tony's catered my sons second birthday and the food was delicious! I picked up our order from the Derry location, as soon I walked in I could feel the family atmosphere. Love the pictures on the walls and the way the team worked together to put together our order. The owners family comes from the same region in Italy as my in-laws, she even shared her family name to see if they knew each other. The porchetta was the dish that started that conversation and my family who had it in Italy were very impressed with the porchetta from here. Since they've reopened in Derry this is the first time we've been back. Definitely will not go back. We got a cheese pizza. The dough was still fairly raw. It was disgusting. Gave it two stars only because it became more edible after I put it in the oven for a while. For the price it really would have been nice if they had cooked the pizza!!! Not the Rig-A-Tony's that we used to enjoy. Way too expensive although the meals are the same size and if the rest of the food is like that pizza we got then I'll pass on buying anything else. read more
