Great food, old fashioned rootbeer made on site, only problem is they are not open year round.

I don't even know where to begin with this review…read more.. We take this route often to visit family and I remember taking note when I saw that they were putting in a little restaurant here off the highway. Yesterday, it was finally open and we decided to stop for lunch. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and helped us order quickly. Their menu is small and to the point, and very inexpensive. As we went to sit in the booth, the table leg bent underneath me - sending me, and our canned sodas, to the floor. I bruised my thigh pretty badly and scuffed an elbow in the process. We were the only customers and the cashier had went to the back, so no one witnessed the accident. I went to explain the situation to the young woman and showed her the broken table. She didn't ask if I was okay and didn't apologize. We found another table, our food was brought to us, and she checked on us a couple of times. No one from management ever came to the table to apologize or check up on me. The table remained broken on the floor and no one even inspected it... I can't believe the lack of responsibly or even concern for their customer. We will never stop here again. The food wasn't great, it's all from a frozen big box store and lacked flavor and quality. The restaurant was very hot; I believe there was no AC, and there were a lot of flies that kept landing on us and our food. I believe this is likely because of the open doors to the motorcycle repair garage, which we had originally thought was a nice touch.

Kickstand Grill - Broken booth table, this seems like the type of table that should've been anchored to the wall.

I was feeling great until my meal and wold love my oney back as I didnt pay to get food poisoning ...$28 later UPDATE: I want to be fair in my review by letting you know that since writing this, I went into the establishment and was refunded my money without any trouble. I am keeping my rating at one star because I don't know if I will ever trust their food again, but I want to thank the person I spoke with at the bar for her kindness and understanding. I will still go back for a drink, but ordering food is out of the question.

One of my faves at Shae's is their fish bite platter. Two sides. Green beans and tater tots. Yum! lol Their cheese curds and other appetizers are very good too Salads and sandwiches to choose from. I'm going to order a 12-inch pizza to take home. I've ordered it once before, at the party mentioned above. If a 12" pizza is too much for you, you can get a smaller pie, but the thin crust starts @ 12" size. So I happily shared mine around. All those people loved it also! They have a Taco Tuesday and other specials. I definitely recommend going in and making you and your friends/family comfortable, whether it's to watch various sports on the LARGE tvs or relaxing with a nice meal. Take out is welcomed, and 3rd party deliveries will bring it to you if tonight is giving stay at home vibes. Enjoy!

And the old carpet just holds that smell. The restaurant was on the expensive side. The lunch specials started at $14.50. The cheapest sandwich was $15.99 and comes with one side. They offered a salad bar for $16.99 The hot bar was $18.79. Kids meals were all $9.99. I went with the hot bar because it had fried chicken on it. There were 4 different soups to choose from and all of the normal salad bar items. The pickled beets were really good. The skin of the fried chicken was soft from being in the steam table. Nothing crunchy left. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on a few times. Lunch for 3 adults and a kid was $70 plus tip.

Flaky with buttery caper sauce was rich and creamy over a bed of rice. My side was the salad bar which can hold its own as a meal all by itself. My husband ordered their famous 1lb pork chop. The mash was creamy and the Caesar salad side were good. Credit where credit is due.... The chop was cooked to temp however with the size and even with the red sauce it's basted with, my husband reported it a bit dry but he definitely enjoyed the process of eating it. The service as fine and we enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return next time we travel that way and try more on the menu

The ambience is a mixture of a French restaurant meeting an Italian restaurant somehow looking like an American Diner with a menu that had a little of everything. Our server was very attentive even though the restaurant was full and she seemed to be the only server. She was delightful and gave us good recommendations. My coworker ordered a Caprese Panini and a Caesar salad. Obviously this wasn't my recommendation if you've read any of my other reviews! She said it was a great sandwich but wasn't a fan of the homemade chips. I was impressed that she didn't give me the stink eye when I explained my need to photograph her food :) I had the lunch portion of chicken parmesean that was really good. Nice portion of chicken and pasta and a great flavor - I would definitely order it again. Oddly, this came with a side of my choice just like the sandwich menu. I chose a side of fries and they were ok fries. Nothing Earth shattering but not bad. It's a great lunch option at a reasonable price and I'd return if I found myself in the area. Where else can I get a burger, a tenderloin, an order of onion rings and a fettuccine Alfredo all from the same place!?

The caprese didn't had much flavor. It was pretty basic caprese salad. The calamari I thought was also not crunchy enough or super flavorful. For dinner, we my partner had lasagna and I had the crusted chicken skillet. He thought the lasagna was pretty good but not the best he ever had. However, the crusted chicken skillet exceeded all expectations. It was GREAT. Hiighly recommend. The rice is sits on is flavorful and full of good veggies. Then the chicken is thin but juicy and really flavorful as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. With these we got house made chips. They were fine. However, I would get a different side if I went again. They tasted like slightly better potato chips. Service was 10/10. Super quick and attentive. This place has a local vibe. They also had great specials that looked good.
