Over the course of several weeks, I worked closely with Lina while arranging the additional support my mother needed following her surgery, which had been significantly delayed due to the Kaiser strike. Throughout the process, Lina was professional, compassionate, kind, and extremely helpful. There were several frustrating moments related to scheduling issues, many of which I expressed to Kaiser. Lina was always honest and transparent, explaining that all of their Spanish-speaking caregivers were currently assigned to other clients. Even so, she consistently took the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions, and help explore possible solutions. Lina maintained regular communication to ensure my mother received the specific care she needed when she needed it. While there were some scheduling challenges along the way, Lina remained proactive, attentive, and supportive, helping us navigate each obstacle. She also worked closely with her scheduling team to make sure my mother's care needs were met. I am grateful for Lina's dedication and commitment throughout this process. Even when the receptionist says someone will return your call, it often never happens. Communication is one of the most important parts of providing care, and this agency has repeatedly failed in that area. Most recently on 08/2026 a caregiver she was scheduled to provide care for my elderly mom but did not show up, and the office did not bother to notify me that she would not be coming. I was left waiting without any communication or explanation. * I contacted the agency and left a message for Val to call me who I was told was a supervisor, asking to return my call to discuss what happened. Unfortunately I never received a response. What makes this even more concerning is that they serve elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families who are already under tremendous stress and relying on these services for support. They present themselves as compassionate and caring, but that has not been my experience. If you are seeking respite services through this agency, be prepared for poor communication, more stress, more disappointment and difficulty getting the assistance you need.

We talked with the coordinator in the Laguna Niguel location, AND we did a "meet and greet" and and in home inspection/consult. She was pleased with how our house was set up. Mom is easy care, quite self sufficient and ambulatory I was not going to be able to do much for a week or two and needed rest. Mom needed showers, meal prep and some supervision. We have a fall alert for overnight and emergencies. All but one of the FOUR caregivers were inept (we would have like to hire the one but she was already booked). One was not fluent and on her phone most of the time. I sent her away the day after surgery. So much stress they put my bed rest recovery in jeopardy! We had arranged for a hairdresser to come do Mom's hair and when she arrived there was some kind of mix up. We specifically asked for Mom smokers and two smelled like smoke. We did not use them again.
