I have had RAD for years and have stayed with them after constant price increases for the last 2 years. They come twice a week without much of an issue. However, today the driver actually got out of the truck to remove a board from my dumpster and literally threw it on the sidewalk before he dumped the container into the truck. I have this even on video. I called to complain and the young woman on the phone said that if the lid is not fully closed, the driver has the right to not service the dumpster. I told her his actions were still uncalled for and if it happens again, they will lose a customer. read more

2nd time in 2 months that our pickup was skipped. The first time I called every day and was promised pick up the next day. The trash was not picked up until our next regular service day. We use most of our bin weekly, so we were really backed up. If I have to go to the dump 10 miles away and pay a $20 dump fee I'm not sure what value this company is providing. Today was the day after Thanksgiving. Our normal service day is Thursday. The FAQ section of the RAD web site says we should have been picked up today. We were not, and neither were our neighbors. Worse, they have a section on your online account that shows your last pickup and next scheduled one. We are next scheduled for next Thursday. Thanks for nothing. read more

The Worst!!!! The worst service ever. Now I see why the rating are so low. They have no respect for their paying customers. I scheduled a bulk pickup in which I have a confirmation for. The website clearly offers a bulk link to schedule pick-up. I call them to ask why no pick up and I'm told not to use the link and I should have called or use the contact us link. They've refused to have someone pickup my items now I have to wait another month to rid the items. The young lady I spoke to said it was my fault not theirs. I never raised my voice once. This place charges by the quarter meaning you pay for 3 months if you cancel within those three months you do not get any money back and when you do call in to talk to a representative you will be on hold forever I called in to cancel my service and was on hold for 45 minutes and was told that I would not receive any credit being that I canceled prior to my 3 month to date. I do not recommend this company for any reason.... This weekend we got a voice mail indicating our service has been terminated with out justification in 3 days. Two days later we got a notification letter that did not provide any justification only three alternative vendors. One vendor provided did not do residential pickup. They're consistent and on time but highly uncommunicative. They changed our regular garbage pickup day and never told us, nor half the neighborhood. So our garbage sat out there for a week because we had no idea when it would be picked up. I also wish they had autopay, they're the only bill I have to manually go and pay every three months. RAD does it all. There pickups are on time always. Plus they offer so much more than that. Appliances, shrub's, can be picked up with a call. There Apache junction facility can receive large items brought in. They even have a Shred day for all those papers and electronics that you need to safely dispose of on Saturdays, find the time and dates right along with your bill. I recently visited them on a Shred day and was totally happy with the service. When I got there, their was a line of a out 20 cars. Believe it or not I was in and out in 15 minutes, did not cost a dime, and we got free ice cream to boot. My trash and recycling pick up days are Monday. You never know whether they are going to pick up the trash or recycling on that day or another day. This week they just didn't pick up the trash at all and recycling was picked up Tuesday. When you call them you are on hold so long (this week when I called there were 39 callers ahead of me according to their automated system). I e mailed them and never received a response about my trash not being picked up and trying to understand why they haven't been coming routinely on collection day. I used their competitor for 12 years before switching to them and never had a missed service ever. This company really needs some improvements when it comes to service and processes. Finally, a waste provider that understands customer service! We discovered Right Away Disposal at this year's Barrett Jackson Car Auction, which seemed to be the waste sponsor. We ordered both a portable toilet (for the remodeling crew) and roll-off container for our construction debris. What sold me on the service was guaranteed 24-hour placement, which we put to test. Called at 1:00 pm on a Monday, and as promised, the container arrived the following morning at 9:30 a.m. With four weeks of service Right Away Disposal, they're also know as RAD, excelled with every commitment and expectation thrown at them, they are without a doubt leaps and bounds ahead of their competition in service. Each time our container was serviced the driver took extra time to sweep and clean the pavement prior to placing back in service. The extra customer service paid off and it didn't go unnoticed by our neighbors. We just noticed a similar container delivered two blocks down for a landscape project. Had RAD for two years. They've missed a few pickups here and there during that time but are pretty good about getting it the next day. This was not a big deal to me given the STEEP price difference between them and WM. That said, they literally sprung a $42 to $54 (30%) price change in June, with no notice at all. Still not the end of the world. Still less than WM. Then I get a robocall(yes...a robocall..and a crappy one that started before the vm picked up so it was cut off) today (Saturday 11/3) telling me that they are no longer going to service our area and I should have my receptacles on the street for pickup the week of 11/4-11/9. Since our pickup is on Tuesday, that is effectively 11/6. So I got 3 days notice...as if that weren't ridiculous enough, I'm paid through 11/30. So I'm super interested to see how that plays out. I just acquired their services three months ago. They have missed two pick ups (the recycling) and didn't come back to get it until the following pick up week. When I signed up with them I was under the impression we'd be on 3 month automatic renewal billing cycle. I Didn't realize I didn't get charged, they never sent a late notice in form of a letter, phone call, email, door notice, nothing. They just took the trash cans away and now want us to pay $60.00. To bring them back. When I called they said they called me and sent me several letters! This company will nickle and dime you very chance they get. They increase the rate 25% in 3 years without any improvement in their services. On occasion they "forget" to pick up your trash. If you want to cancel they will charge $30 to come and pick up their bins ( they would not tell you this info when you agree to the service). Update 5/22/18: After being a happy customer for almost 3 years, I just opened my bill showing a 30% price increase. Who does this? I understand that costs go up but this is too much at one time. Price for trash and recycling is now $18/month but used to be $14/month. Also, you be on hold for over 20 minutes before you can talk to customer service. -------------------------------------------------------------- I use Right Away Disposal in Tucson, Arizona. I have been with them for 2 years and have never had any problems with them. They have a much better price than other competitors. One of the main reasons I like them is because their trucks are smaller. This means they don't cause as much wear and tear on the roads as compared to the typical huge trucks. Also, we have children that play in our neighborhood, so it seems safer that their smaller trucks are more likely to see the kids. Overall, I high recommend this company. read more

Last week they missed our trash can so that put us a week behind. This was a little frustrating but things happen and I get it. Now I wake up his morning and find they didn't take my trash because of a piece of wood. I didn't even put wood in the trash. I am assuming someone put it in my trash overnight. I've had service with this company for 2 years now. They periodically miss picking up trash, but recently when we got rain, they didn't come either. I called and they said it was because my road was too muddy. It was not muddy whatsoever. Apparently they had a driver get stuck in mud and his truck tipped over, so now they are being more strict. They are not offering credits either for my missed trash pickup. Unbelievable. They did offer to do a double pick up on the same day, or pick up trash bags that are outside of the barrel, but I used 2 of my 3 cans for horse manure, so that's not going to work. Really Awful Disposal, RAD. When they scatter garbage and recycle material around your neighborhood, or when your cart is not totally emptied, it is your fault for not loading it correctly. They say 100% customer satisfaction is their goal, it is all lip service. They don't care about you as a customer. They want to get in and get out. They don't live in your beighborhood so they don't care about materials blowing around or how much is left on the ground. When you call to lodge a complaint, they claim, "we have cameras and can see what the trucks are doing." Of course they don't share the video, but when they review it, you will always be found to be the problem. Note to RAD, I have cameras too, and I will be recording your activity in my neighborhood. The customer service is so poor for this company. I always wait 25 to 30 minutes before anyone answers the phone. Today I received a paper notice left by my garbage man telling me I didn't do my garbage correctly. This is the second time in two weeks that he has done this. I have never had a problem before. When I called customer service to get an explanation it took 30 minutes to get through. Then when I explained the situation the rep just started reading the requirements for trash pick up. When I complained about the long wait time she said it was because they were down a couple of people. This has been going on for 3 or 4 years so that's not true plus she got snippy with me. Initially our service was with Greenline, which was later acquired by RAD. After the acquisition one of the directors reached out to me to inquire and get a feel as how things were going. The service we receive is repeatable and consistent. Great Job! The drawback which I know is felt across the nation is the recyclables sitting in alarming volume - due to China refusal to take U.S.A. Recyclables many, if not all, companies are not taking recycling. No fault of course to RAD. While the cost of taking refuse does increase RAD continues to remain below market. I called out a concern for the recent increases and received a very detailed explanation which was backed up with whitepaper documentation. Great service and I'm pleased for the senior-level concern for the small residential consumer. Way to go RAD! read more

We were paying a total of $42.00 every 90 days for trash and recycle bins. This month the prices increased to MORE THAN DOUBLE. $35 per quarter for trash and 35 per quarter for recycle bins. I don't mind the trash bin price, but Right Away Disposal makes a considerable amount of money on the sale of presorted (by us) recycle materials. Now they want to charge us the same price as trash for the privilege of presorting the recycle materials for them. I am CHANGING MY SERVICE. read more

RAD has increased their charge for home trash removal. It went from $33 to $37.5, but they did not tell people. I paid the $33 on line, I received a confirmation # and then found they removed $4.50 more from my bank account than I agreed to. I am NOT at all happy. I called them and they said "Oh yea, we raised the rate and did not tell anyone". I told them they can not do this legally, they must give notice. At that point I asked for a supervisor, and they would not put one on the phone, the lady said she would try to have one call me. So, I am still waiting on the call. I have had nothing but trouble trying to pay them! I received no invoices except one saying I owed them a $30.00 late fee. I mailed this invoice back to them saying I have never received a prior invoice. I will not pay a late charge for not knowing I am late. I have had trouble before & already went through the hell trying to telephone them. All I have asked for is a current invoice and I will send a check in full. They refuse to send an invoice & have ignored me. This morning 08/17/2020 they picked up their two trash containers without saying a word. We cancelled service in a February when we moved out of state. Today I got a text alert from my bank that they charged my debit card. I contacted them immediately to find out why they charged us without permission on a closed account. I was told they pulled my card information from a past payment and charged us because they never actually closed the account. I told them they transaction was illegal and not authorized and demanded a refund and was denied. They didn't cancel my account still and transferred me to a voicemail so I contacted my bank and filed a fraud case. My bank is now taking care of the charge and blocking them from making any future charges. Do not do business with this company, they engage in illegal billing practices. read more

This company sits atop of the mountain of laziness . If you want a pick up job done half right or don't care how sloppy and lazy they are, then this is the waste service for you. I was well below my 4 cu/ft limit (about 2 cu/ft max) when they came and picked up half of my load. They also made sure they messed up the pile leaving debris all of over the street for me to have to clean when I got home. Am very pleased with RAD - missing lid hinge pins were replaced in a timely manner, drivers are very nice, always returning a "wave" back! When I had a leg injury, the driver saw me struggling with my cane & the empty can, he pulled it up the driveway for me! Always have good customer service when I call, with the longest wait being 3 minutes. Grateful for Online Billing=one less thing to remember! Today's Appreciation Day (1/16/16) went real smooth, every associate was very helpful & friendly! Free Shredding benefits the AZ Center for the Blind, which is a nice touch! I have not been happy with RAD in recent months. The cost for service has gone up twice this year alone. I was paying $48 per quarter, Then it was $54, now its $72?! I understand that minimum wage is going up $1 at the start of the new year, but at $40 increase per employee does not equate to me paying almost $30 extra per month. My utilities keep increasing but my paycheck isn't getting any bigger! Why is it my responsibility to cover your company's overhead? Does this company have 1 employee per house they service? DOUBTFUL. This is pure greed, and no will to provide a cost effective service. I will be asking RAD to come and pick up their second container so I will not have to pay more than I can afford. If rates continue to rise I will be making a monthly trip to the dump on my own. Keep it up RAD and you will be out the door. I have already shopped around, there are competitors who will provide the same service for less. read more
