I tried to do it myself but the nuts were on top right, not only did he do it super fast, didn't disturb me while I work from home, was super friendly, and the price was super fair. They did a fine job the first time they came by, the tech was thorough and knowledgeable. I don't know if they changed management or lost their techs but they've been nothing but problems since. Saw a deal to get my water heater flushed and scheduled the appointment. Day of they show up late we have to run from an appointment to meet them. Appointment is done and the flush wasn't done. When I called they said the tech made a note that due to a risk of freezing they weren't able to do it. Sounded like an excuse but I agreed to a follow-up appointment where the service would be complimentary. We get scheduled for the first appointment of the day, between 8-9am. 10am rolls around and no show. I call and am told that our appointment was for 12-3pm. Unacceptable. They offer to send someone immediately. 90 minutes later we get a call they are 15 minutes away. We have things to do so we weren't at the house. So of course the tech needs to be rerouted and the appointment rescheduled. At this point I am done. Set an appt on 11/20/24 and they scheduled for Friday 11/29. I asked about them possibly being shorthanded after a holiday and Nikki assured me "all hands on deck". So we set up the appt for the 12-3pm slot. Called them on 11/29 the day of service at 2:45pm and asked how long until they get here. They worked on my A/C - heater. Had major problems with them. Wires cut. I called another company out and he had found a wire cut inside the unit. He stated is was bent over and purposly made the unit not work. He stated this is an old trick where a company would do this to make you call them back to now fix the heater. They had worked on the AC. just a dust clean up. Almost new unit. This company was The first ones in the system. So no wires should have been clipped. My husband watched the other guy. So ( the ones who came to fix this company blunder or sabotage job) he didn't clip the wire. The one he found. Horrible company. And I totally understand that in a world where we tend to overwork, overdo and overproduce we are bound to oversell at certain point and would have to keep the office staff occupied with the creative ideas about how to keep the stuff in warehouse moving. So this pink truckers did lousy job for me once. Then there is a call and a voice message to call them again. Ok. I thought maybe they had some pangs of conscience and decided to actually refund me for the work they did and I paid which was not really performed and had not fixed the issue. Surprise ;). They just want me to use their $49.99 inspection special, but I am a mature duder who knows how it goes. They will just tell you like they have to clean smth. that worked perfectly fine and it will be another couple hundreds or will try to persuade you that your whole unit is about to fail in the very near future so in the name of peace of mind, why won't you let them rip it off and install a brand new one? I was very polite and told them I am not interested in no uncertain terms, had to repeat myself thrice and asked to remove me from their database, but I am more than sure in a year or so there will be another call and voicemail to ignore. read more

Start with the positive which was mainly the technicians that did what they could. They were friendly, responsive over the phone and want to make you happy. While my situation was unique it shouldn't have been hard to deal with. Cliff notes they provided electrical work they had no reason to do in order to make up for their mistakes and sell a more expensive water heater. First off I was given two different price quotes for the same product. I had them do a second opinion thing because I changed my mind on which water heater model I wanted but wasn't quite sure. I went with my second choice and cancelled the first order since the price between models was very significant. I had to change the install date due to changing my order but it was just by one day. They cancelled the install appointment for the first order but still charged my bank for everything associated with it several days later at the end of the original install date. And for the more expensive of the two quotes they gave. When it clearly states that I won't be charged until work is complete. I called their office and they assured me I'd get a refund. Easy enough to get all of it worked out over the phone in the late evening also. On the day of install they brought the first water heater instead of the one I changed it to(a shortcoming of their appointment system not the technicians). They proceeded to convince me on getting the one they brought installed instead since they already charged me(refund was still in process) and it was already there. They included some electrical work to make up for the difference in quote price. Which I later found out wasn't necessary, not to code by a long shot and done without a permit. And the sound this heat pump model makes is louder then what the manual states and what the technician assured me it would be at. I'm pretty sure they had little to no real life experience with this type of water heater but assured me they did. After all that there were code fails on the water heater plumbing. And the electrical work they "included" didn't even have a permit pulled for it. Pretty sure they fed me lies to get the sale since they messed up and wanted to sell the more expensive water heater. So the electric work completely failed due to sloppy work and actually never was needed. They ran a new circuit to a closer panel for no reason other than to make a sale. If I knew they needed a permit I'd have sent them back to get the water heater I actually ordered. read more

I just want to post this review as a warning to others about the dishonesty we experienced. We had a surge come through our home & damaged some of our wiring (that Idaho power fixed) and our furnace. We called Right Now Heating and Air guys in the pink trucks and they came out quickly which we appreciated! They told us our 2017 furnace was completely fried and we needed an entire new one. Quoting us 7000 dollars. Thankfully for us our home owners insurance covers home surge damage so we called them first to cover the cost. They came out and said it's a 300 dollar fix and does not need to be replaced at all. Imagine if we would have not gotten that 2nd opinion and spent 7000 dollars opposed to 300. We called out another service and the guy fixed our furnace in 10 min and charged 300. He told us Right Now Heating and Air was so dishonest. Mind you because we had to wait for our insurance to come out and look we went without heat for 2 weeks. We have a baby and child in the home. It was the coldest 2 weeks we've had of the season to and our girls bedroom got down to 48 degrees. Had they been honest we could have had our furnace fixed that day within 10 min and not had been freezing for 2 weeks and worried about our children freezing as well. Same as the rest, came out for inspection/ service and water heater flush. Couldn't flush the water heater because it had a plastic drain valve. Serviced the heater and said he would call a plumber for the water heater. Did an inspection under my house and found the main valve "leaking", said he would let the plumber know. Plumber ended up being his brother... weird. He also said he couldn't flush the water heater but could replace the pressure/temperature valve that was leaking in the water heater. Between the main and valve on my water heater the quote was 900.00. I paid a 450.00 deposit. Plumber came out the next day and had no idea what he was supposed to do, I had to tell him. He said he didn't have any of the parts to do the main, but could fix my water heater. I let him in the garage to look at it and he said he didn't have tools to work on brass. He wanted to send someone else by the following morning, but I'd already taken half a day off for them to not do any work at my house. He said they would call to reschedule. That was 4 days ago. In the meantime I canceled my check and fixed the water heater myself. I'll get a second opinion on theain after I go look at it myself. Never again. read more

Started my job before Halloween I live in Arco the first group came from Twin Falls every day for 6 days said the job would only take 2 or 3 days told me everything was good my son came the nex day vents were blowing in crawl space pl alot of other stuf. On July 11, 2024, 2 technicians, Jake and Pearl, visited my rental in Gooding Idaho to replace a broken tub spout. They told me they could buy parts from Standard Plumbing in Twin Falls Idaho and they would return within 1-1/2 hours. The tub spout had been broken off and they told me they would buy and replace a new one for $604. I asked them to send me a copy of the estimate but I never received it. The interesting thing is that they told me they would buy the part from Standard Plumbing in Twin Falls, ID, which is 40 minutes from Gooding, and yet within a very short period of time, my tenant told me they had already replaced the spout and had left the premises. After I paid the bill for $604, my tenant sent me a picture of the supposedly new spout, but it wasn't new. It was the same OLD Spout!!!! They only replaced the part that was broken and used the same old spout to make it work. read more

This is a long review, but our experience with Right Now was also long. Our first visit by Right Now was on June 28th, 2021 when I noticed that our 25 year old A/C unit wasn't cooling our home so well anymore and we were about to head into the 105 degree heat wave.  On this visit a Rejuv kit and coolant fill was to supposedly keep our old unit going and improve the cooling our home until a replacement could be installed; we didn't experience any improvements at all. Four days later had a new A/C - Heat system installed. That evening, our temps didn't get below 80 (even though the thermostat was set to 73). From there, we had techs come out who did an air flow redirect. But, the temps still rose 4-5 degrees above the thermostat setting. Plus, now we were experiencing HOT air coming in through all of our exhaust fan vents (above the stove, in the laundry room, and in the two bathrooms).  A few days later, we were sent another tech who came out who noticed that the vent system was set to open and needed to be closed. Filled the charge on the new A/C unit and also stated that a new TXV part and would need to be installed. Due to the hot air that was still coming in through our fan vents, temps still rise 4-5 degrees above the set temperature. Over three weeks time, they kept finding and resolving issues. They were helpful and kind. But, it was perplexing why new issues kept happening. Eventually, they managed to improve the system and reduce the temps that were coming in through our exhaust fan systems. We also had a tankless water heater installed by Right Now Heat and A/C. The night it was installed, I happened to go out into the garage and saw that the new water heater was leaking (not dripping, leaking). We were told to shut the water off ourselves until a tech could get out on another day. Originally, we were also going to have a cool air return placed in our office. In August, they returned to make that modification and to also install a larger gas line for the water heater. I'm not sure how the bigger gas line helps, it now takes longer for our water to heat up. We opted to NOT follow through with the cool air return because, due to our experiences to date, I wasn't feeling comfortable with them making any more modifications on our home. Little did I know, more were to come anyway. Instead, we opted for them to check all of our HVAC lines to be sure they were secured and properly sealed. Of course, they found many gaps. This is something I feel they should have already done through any of their many previous problem-solving visits. It's just been one issue after another in nearly three months time and around a dozen visits. But eventually, the inspectors came and mentioned that an exhaust system would need to be put in the garage because the system was actually too big for the size of air flow in our garage. The result, there is now a 6" hole in the middle of our garage wall that only has a grate over it. There was no screen to keep out insects, nor a HVAC tube to keep rain/elements from getting in the walls. I would love to let the pictures tell the rest of the story... if I can get them to load. The bottom line is that this entire experience has been frustrating, time consuming (we had to be available around a dozen times during this process), not to mention prolonged (nearly 3 months time), and the modifications leave me wondering if they would have accepted this kind of result in their own homes. The discomfort began with pushy sales (to sell us every thing they offer) and ended with frustration over this long drawn out process. In between, we also dealt with often (not always) being treated rudely by their customer service. The inspector came by 3 times before they minimally passed inspection. But even he was shocked by some of the work done here. read more

My 90 yr. and hard of hearing mother with limited income called after seeing their ad in the local paper to have her home furnace checked, and the tech (who makes commissions on sales) talked her into a $8,200 sale. The tech sold her a (unnecessary) new water heater along with furnace on "special" financing. And the nightmare begins. May 2022 - Installation of furnace and American Standard water heater. Nov 2022 - no hot water as pilot light out & wouldn't start. Tech returned 4 days later to replace burner assembly. Jan 2023 - no hot water, tech replaced gas valve& burner assembly. Nov 2023 - no hot water as pilot went out. Nov 2023 - no hot water etc. March 2024 - no hot water. This is Friday before Easter Sunday. The scheduling dept wanted $79 + credit card on file before sending a tech. My mother asked to have the water heater replaced due to the ongoing issues. Right Now unequivocally said no. Instead, per the assistant manager, the solution from master technician & senior management is to install a "flue extension" on the roof. I purchased a brand new furnace and air conditioning unit four years ago for $8000 from Right Now Heating & Cooling now four years later my air conditioner won't cool. I call Right Now Heating & Cooling and they can't seem to get out here for a week and a half after twice during the hottest few days so far this summer, I finally decided to call someone else. Western heating and cooling was more than happy to come out the next day to see if they could figure out the problem. It seems my unit is icing up and they can't diagnose why because it has to defrost first, which will take three hours, I've called Right Now Heating & Cooling four different times to try to get a manager to call me back with no success. I even asked to speak to the owner Mr. Jeff Cox. He seems to be too busy as well. They also say that they are Better Business Bureau accredited which they are not they lost their accreditation eight years ago, yet still advertise that they are accredited on all their paperwork Seems a little illegal to me. I know my unit is still under warranty. Just waiting to see if someone will ever call me back possible to get past their call center. I called Sunday night after we had a clogged toilet. I was told they would be out Monday afternoon. Monday came and went and they never showed. They called and said they would send someone out Tuesday between 12 and 2. Nobody shows, I called again to see what was showing on and was told they would be here around 3. They finally show up. The plumber brought in the auger leaking someone else's poopy water on my floor not mentioning anything. They got the toilet unclogged and charged me $319. When I asked why it was so expensive they said that's how all the charges start is $319. While doing the paperwork I told them I was glad they came as they were supposed to be here Monday and all my kids have been using my bathroom. He kinda chuckled and said I don't know why they didn't send me out yesterday because they sent me home at 10am and I could have fixed this yesterday. My father in law who is almost 80 years old and does not speak English had an appointment earlier today with these guys. They came in charged him almost $400 had him sign a waiver in English and left the house leaving the problem the same. When I arrived and noticed they still did not have heat but had a Receipt on the counter for almost $400 . The writing was not legible on the Receipt so I called the company to explain the charges, the person who answered the phone was clueless to the questions I was asking. He could not tell me what they were charged for and what the Diagnosis of the furnace was. All of a sudden they call my father in-law and tell him someone would be back out to check it out. This time they send a more experienced technician who read what the previous tech had wrote and charged them for. The previous tech said they had a crack and a Carbon dioxide leakage and that he also needed to change a switch. The new tech said that he has to try and get the photos from the other techs findings so he can confirm the charges and Diagnosis. He comes back in and tells me that the guy never took the required photos or videos that the company requires so he could not confirm what he found. So the new tech starts looking with the camera and uploaded some videos and photos. He apologizes and says that the other tech will be fired then goes on to say that he will Reimburse my father in-law his money. And that the findings that the first tech wrote about a crack and a leak were not correct so he wrote me a slip that said the unit was clear to use.The switch was not the problem after he put the switch in the heat obviously still did not work the first technician was trying to get my father in-law to run his credit so they can get him a new Furnace. My father in-law did not understand so the tech had him sign the waiver and just left! The new tech took a closer look come to find out it was the Thermostat that probably costs $20!! He said I'll put the new Thermostat on there and won't charge you anything as soon as he put the new one on the heat came on. He goes out and calls his boss then comes back in and says I'm sorry the new switch the other guys put in is already in your Furnace so we can't Reimburse you for it or the labor!! The bottom of their service order said they spend $20,000 on training their associates the guy who came out the first time obviously had no idea what he was doing and charged my father in-law for random parts that did not fix the issue. If I had not seen the bill and noticed they were still without heat and called they would have just paid the $400 for nothing. I will be contacting the BBB and filling a complaint I have the calls recorded and also what the tech had told me. AC died in July, We decided to replace the AC and heater. AC worked fine. Oct came, turned on the heat with NO response. Their first response was that they would wait for over a week to get someone out. I pushed and the got a tech out in two days. Turns out they didn't bother hooking the gas line and the tech said that's up to the install group. The install group showed up 3 days later. Seems on their mess up leaving us with NO heat we would have been a higher priority. How can you install a furnace and NOT do an operational test. HOW did the city inspector sign off. I had to take 4 hours of my vacation time to meet these folks to fix their problem. I left a phone message for their customer support with ZERO response. Would not recommend these folks. ALSO the installed the heater up against the bedroom wall, when it runs it sounds like a truck is driving through our house. Was told it would take too much work to FIX. UNREAL! read more

Our brand new hot water heater broke in just a year, their trucks are not fully stocked with all parts. They had to order our part took 10 days to get the part we were without hot water for almost 3 weeks while we had to pay for showers then sent us 2 $10.00 gift cards to Home Depot to help cover the cost of out family's showers, a family of 5 with multiple showers at the truck stop weekly. it's been almost a month and yet here we are without hot water again. no matter what phone number you call to reach the Caldwell office everyone tells you I can get a tech out tomorrow but I don't know if they can fix it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I had Right Now Heating and Air come to my house when my air conditioner failed. The service tech wrote me up an estimate (which was several thousand dollars higher than every other company in the valley) and had me fill out a credit APPLICATION to complete the estimate. I took no further action with Right Now due to their ridiculously overpriced estimate. Fast forward 3 months and I now have a hard hit and open line of credit on my credit history. Right Now Heating and Air took my credit APPLICATION and OPENED a line of credit WITHOUT MY CONSENT or doing any work. In the course of trying to get the problem solved I first went to Wells Fargo (who Right Now partners with to fund their financing). The banker walked me through the steps on how to close the account and get it removed from my credit history. One of the many steps included going to the Right Now office and getting a copy of the credit application and a letter from them stating that there was no need for a line of credit as there was no work done. A pretty simple task and not an unreasonable request. I was greeted by some snarky, standoffish office gal who told me quite sternly that by signing a credit application I had given them consent to essentially do whatever they wanted with my credit. I'm glad she is an expert in this area because customer service is certainly not her strong suit. When I was finally able to speak with someone in their finance department Mark basically told me that this was a Wells Fargo problem and not a Right Now Heating and Air problem. They were completely unwilling to help me solve the problem and pawned the whole thing off on Wells Fargo. Way to take accountability guys. I find it incredibly frustrating that Right Now is completely unwilling to help or take ANY accountability for this considering it was Wells Fargo that instructed me to reach out to Right Now Heating and Air Conditioning. They had me write a review before they had the unit fixed. the unit was still under warranty from them when for the 2nd time the fan went out in it. It is 101 degrees out today and they cannot tell me when they expect the parts in. i have called twice to find out when the parts would be in and they do not know. the unit is still under warranty and they do not seem to be in a hurry to fix it. Unless you want to buy a new unit, they are in no hurry to fix what they have already sold you. i was only asking when to expect the parts in. any time you order anything they can tell you when they are shipping. there is something called overnight delivery, i suppose my business to them is not important enough for overnight delivery in the middle of a heat wave, to fix my warrantied unit. read more

Extremely overpriced and terrible response times. Took 5 days to get a call when I questioned their $890 rejuvenation kit I was charged for. Was told it included: capacitor, contactor, and hard start kit. Collectively around $60-$70 in parts and nothing more. When I asked that they justify the up charge, they simply couldn't. Even went as far as listing out their entire overhead costs, as a company, to help justify the price of this kit to me. Was lied to my face from the comfort advisor when I asked him what the contents were. He was clearly unsure and kept listing possibilities of what the kit contained. Even told me, from his own mouth, I was being ripped off and that all companies do the same thing. Got estimates from other companies for the work that was performed that all came in at about half the price. They were very unwilling to work with me to refund these costs and are not even accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Would not recommend them for any services as they simply cannot be trusted. read more
