I was initially grateful for what I thought was honest service, because he told me our furnace was "surprisingly healthy for its age."But, the next day the pilot light was out, and then there was a gas leak several weeks later. The serviceman from Intermountain Gas told me that the leak was most likely due to the age of the unit. He assured me that the furnace was in great shape and just the milivolt gas valve unit needed to be replaced (and that it was a universal part and should cost no more than $500). I called MTS since he was the last to service the unit and he tried to tell me the furnace was unsafe and that I would need to replace the entire system (at least $3000). Fraud. Lying. Another service provider came and actually just sourced the part for us and my husband replaced it himself and now the furnace works just great. I would not recommend MTS. read more
