I didn't respond and got my money back but a few days later I saw 10 charges they attempted to make online at walmart using my debit card numbers and I had to report it and get a new card. This review is long overdue. Many years ago, I bought a Rolex GMT Master II "coke" edition here for myself as a college graduation gift. I was in California, so I was buying it without seeing it in person. The store seemed legit online and I think I saw a few positive reviews. Fast forward a few years later when I go to sell it to put towards the new ceramic version as my law school gift. I recently went to sell it to get a new ceramic version. A very reputable Rolex dealer in California gave me a very low offer on it because it had counterfeit parts in it. To the average buyer, it looked and felt completely authentic, but side by side, and having an expert point out the differences, it was obvious. Knowing what I know now, I would have been in Colorado County court to get it fixed to how the watch was represented to me. However, filing a claim in CO when you are in CA is difficult to say the least. I was not an expert on watches, but this place claimed to be. They owed me a duty to disclose everything about the watch that the average buyer wouldn't know. They didn't, and it ended up costing me in the end. There are many reputable online Rolex dealers, like Cape Town Diamond and Bob's watches. Don't risk it here unless you are local. read more

Was in to have a watch collection assessed for sale. Three got an offer, not the best, not the worst, but will just say to others wishing to do the same. Consider selling on your own if you feel your stock has more value. That did not disappoint, as attentiveness and general service by the son was excellent. In the end, I got my offer however they did not even ask for contact info to follow up. Granted they were talking to contractors to work out upgrades going on. When I walked up to the service desk at Right Time I noticed a 'funny' little device on the counter. It was a sign that said, "To file a complaint, take a number". Attached the device was a replica of a hand grenade. The insinuation being, "we don't value your business or care what you think". I knew then that this would not be a mutually beneficial transaction. I took in a 2014 Eterna automatic wristwatch to have them determine why the rotor was not winding the watch while I was wearing it, thereby requiring constant manual winding of the timepiece while on my wrist. After some thorough research I was fairly certain the reversing wheel was malfunctioning, a repair that should cost between $120 and $150, again, according to research on the internet. After a very brief inspection by their elder watchmaker, he nonchalantly commented that the watch needed a full service. He said with the enthusiasm of a man being asked to eat dirt, "It will cost $395 and take six weeks". Then he turned his back on me and walked away. As he was retreating, I asked him how he came about that determination. His response was dripping with contempt as he hastily replied, "Because I looked at your watch!" Not being satisfied with that insufficient answer to support a $400 service, I asked, "could you be more specific?" His reply was about as snarky as one could tolerate, "Your watch has no amplitude, it is a lousy running watch." This of course is not true. I had been wearing the watch for several days by manually winding the watch movement and it was keeping time at a rate of + 7 seconds a day, which is well within factory specs for a Sellita sw-200 26-jewel Swiss movement. When I questioned him as to whether he had wound the main spring tight enough to register a decent amplitude (most watches are not adjusted to account for isochronism, which regulates the oscillation of the balance wheel, which can negatively impact amplitude), his response went beyond indignant, as he declared, "I know how to wind a watch!" During this entire conversation the watchmaker was secluded in his cubicle, not having the decency to converse with me face-to-face. I then calmly proclaimed, "Look, I'm not here to be combative, I'll take the watch elsewhere", to which he responded, "Absolutely", in a tone indicating that he could care less about salvaging this customer service transaction that had been exploded by a hand-grenade. I do not recommend this place...at all! read more

My watch band this morning had a bent pin in the clasp and I took this to them, a thirty six year old Rolex Submariner, my everyday watch, and they within twenty minutes, replaced the pin and the watch is back to normal. I gave them also a watch my late Dad never wore, still new in the box, and they got it running well too. Been going here for many years and they've always treated me professionally and with courtesy. ForRight Time that criteria doesn't begin to adequately convey the outstanding, knowledgeable and friendly service they have without exception, provided to me and their prices are actually sometimes shocking to me after pricing required services/products at other service providers just for comparison sake. In fact, after a certain period of time, I no longer went through the motions of getting a competitive price since I knew no one actually competed when it came to that important aspect of doing business with an establishment. I would like to particularly point out the friendly, knowledgeable and outstanding service that I have received when dealing directly with the owner, Felix, who is one of the most exceptional service providers I've had the pleasure of dealing with. he epitomizes what every customer hopes to encounter when dealing with a business. He always has a bright smile, a kind word, and probably knows watches better than almost anyone in the business. I went in a few days ago to have the batteries replaced in a Seiko (SNA414 to be exact) and a vintage Texas Instruments LED (TI101) watch. I also just love watches and wanted to look around. I'm a bit of a watch enthusiast and always love local shops. I was a little bit surprised when they wanted $50 to replace the battery on my Seiko because they insisted on doing a full pressure test. I didn't want to spend $50 or wait the quoted 3 days, so instead they offered to replace the battery without the pressure test for $20 (still high, but not absurd). I agreed to this battery replacement and they did a fine job with the Seiko. The real reason I'm writing this review is because of how they handled my Texas Instruments watch. This watch was working about a week before I went in and I knew the battery was dying because of the LEDs being dimmer than normal. After their watchmaker looked at the watch, the sales representative told me that the watch couldn't be repaired. I told her that the watch was in good working condition, but she said that it was old technology and even her extremely skilled watchmaker couldn't fix it. She even mentioned that their watchmaker had been around since those watches were new in the 70s and there was no hope for my watch. I wasn't willing to give up on this watch, so I ordered a few batteries off amazon and popped off the caseback only to find that their watchmaker installed the LED module upside down in the watch. I re-oriented the module, installed new batteries, and voila, the watch works like new again. I was hoping to have found a good, privately owned watch shop, but unfortunately, I'll have to keep looking. The younger sales associated I worked with was really personable and nice, but the other sales woman and watchmaker seemed pretty grumpy. I won't be doing business with Right Time again. read more

I took a fairly expensive watch over to Right Time to have it cleaned. I'm not sure how much their standard cleaning is, but I think the price was based on the value of the watch (watch is worth around $6,500), so they charged me $150 to clean the watch. I accepted and dropped off the watch - was called about a week later that the watch was ready for pickup. When I inspected the watch when I picked it up, I was surprised to see how dirty it still was. I talked to the guy behind the desk and he just shrugged his shoulders and I handed him the watch for him to inspect and he just shrugged his shoulders again and I asked him if thought the watch was clean? I have been going to this location for 20+ years . I have purchased a handful of watches so I'm not that customer buying Rolex and other high dollar watches but I did believe in spending local. They have always been helpful until July 3rd. My birthday. I needed my watches synced and set. And all this new gedgetry is overwhelming to me sometimes. Anyway usually the young guy will help me and tell me to wait a few mins and he'll take care of the issue. And before you know it he's handing me my watches and sending me out. This is when I normally purchase myself another watch for my birthday...from me to me. Well the older guy that was there this morning was pissednoff righnof the bat because people were waiting and he was a couple minutes late. I was there 1st got three at 9:15 am but two other ladies your out the cars and ran in. No biggie...but when we walked in he was already barking and making under breath grumbling. Purchased a Breitling Bentley 6.75 December 2019. They listed it one step before new. I have had it repaired now 5 times by Breitling and it is currently at Breitling now getting repaired again. I'm a terrible person. No. Really. I am. Stop. I suck! Why? Because I cheated on my beloved William Crow Jewelers. Oh, you want the torrid details of my BETRAYAL? REALLY? Okay then. My IT friend at work had advised me to hold off installing the most-recent iPhone update for about a week, to make sure there weren't any terrible bugs involved. About a week later, I sent him an email with a photo of Lawrence and Dustin, with the caption, "Is it safe?" meaning, was it cool to install the update. I hope you're sitting down for this part: he did not know what the photo, nor the caption meant. He's never seen "Marathon Man". (I know, I know, this is a watch battery review. Calm down, I'm getting to it). Today we discussed the movie a bit more, and partially because of the fact that my friend has been so generous to me and my chihuahua recently (I'll get to that part shortly, I promise) I decided right then and there to scoot over ("scoot over" is obviously an oxymoron since no one has ever "scooted over" to anything on Colorado blvd) to my favorite movie store, Second Spin (if you're still awake when you're done reading this review, scoot over to my Second Spin review!) to pick up a pre-loved copy of the movie for him. Okay, here's where the watch situation comes in. I'm having a rather severe financial crisis at the moment, which is partly my chihuahua's fault, and partly my fault. Nacho needs bilateral knee surgery, and I'm pretty freaking broke (after you read my Second Spin review, scoot over to my Rocky Mountain Coin review for more details on that). I managed to secure a hefty portion of the $1300 this surgery (on Friday the 13th) is going to cost, but I have some additional expenses that are hanging over my head, so I've been trying to liquidate as much as I can without actually breaking the law or getting killed. I decided to try and sell my late dad's 25-year anniversary watch (Omega. Not Rolex, but also not Timex). Not an easy decision, but it wasn't his favorite one, he actually barely ever wore it. I even had the engraving removed because I didn't want to think about someone wearing a watch with my dad's name on it. The watch needed a new battery first though. Could I have taken it to William Crow? YES! Why didn't I? Because I have another watch at William Crow, that I'll have to pay $30 to pick up, and I did not want to put them in the awkward position of having to replace a battery for me when I couldn't afford to pay them (yet) for work they've already done. Plus, I'm embarrassed. I knew there was a watch place right next to Second Spin, so I made the decision to step out on William. I got there at about 5:45, shortly before they closed. The gentleman (Guy #1) at the counter was nice enough, he asked how he could help, I told him I needed a battery because I was going to sell my late father's anniversary watch. I did happen to ask if they might be interested in it, since it is in basically new condition, though I really intended to try and sell it on my own. The gentleman asked another guy (Guy #2) if he would be interested in something like this watch, "no". Fine, fifteen bucks for the new battery. At this point, I would have given Right Time four stars. (Only William Crow gets five). The battery replacement only took about seven or eight minutes. That was awesome. As I was paying Guy #1, I happened to ask him if he thought $300 was a reasonable starting point for me to sell it (a price I landed on after lots of eBay research). I told him that my dad really never wore it. His response? "Of course he wore it, he had two links taken out". My reply? "He had it sized to fit him, but he never wore it." Then he said, "Three hundred dollars? You don't want my answer to that question." I kind of chuckled and told him I thought that he did answer my question. As Guy #1 was handing me my change, Guy #2 says to me, "You find someone to pay you three hundred dilate for that watch? You KISS THEM!" Boom. You know what, Right Time watch man? You're an ASSHOLE. What kind of human being takes pleasure in making another human being -- a CUSTOMER, no less -- feel more like shit than they already do? I'm trying to get some cash together by selling something that belonged to my dad (who died ten years ago last week) and I already feel like the lowest piece of crap about it. These clowns made a very hard time SO much worse for me, which I guess, now that I think about it is no less than I deserve for going somewhere other than William Crow Jewelers. I'm not going to say "DON'T GO" to this shop, because I know nothing about their products or services other than the battery replacement. I'm only describing what I felt to be a hefty helping of arrogance from two cocky guys in a small shop, surrounded by used Rolexes, possibly sold by desperately poor girls who had chihuahuas with bad knees. read more

A few years ago I purchased a watch while I was in Switzerland. (They're good at making watches). It worked so well I would almost swear it was an atomic clock. At some point in time, however, the crystal on the face got cracked. While the watch part still worked fine, it was just an eyesore to have a cracked face, so I decided to get it replaced. I looked around and read some reviews of various places (NOT on Yelp, unfortunately) and decided on Right Time. When I stopped in to drop my watch off the person treated me like an idiot. He accusingly asked how the face got cracked, like I had done something to HIS watch. I asked if he could fix it and he said yes. He asked if anything else needed to be done to it. I told him no and he made up a price. About a week or so later I got a call my watch was all ready to go. I stopped by to pick it up. The face was fixed and so I paid. Just a day or so later, the time keeping, which had been impeccable before was now off, and the hands were getting stuck in place. Why would fixing the face cause any problems with the time keeping? Who knows? Needless to say the watch needed to go back in, but it didn't go back there. I don't like being treated rudely or like an idiot let alone at the same time. When I take my watch to get fixed, I don't like getting it back broken. I would say that anytime is the wrong time to go to Right Time. read more

Right time is ( by far ) the best watch store west of the Mississippi! Felix is a master watchmaker and knows everything there is to know about watches. The service center is spectacular. I'm a novice watch collector and have taken every watch I have to him. The new watch selection is second to none. Brands that aren't mainstream but hold weight against any high end Swiss brand. Plus they have everything in between. They stand behind there sales and service. Plus you couldn't ask for a nicer family to do business with. I am privileged to call them a friend too. In preparation for having my grandfather's vintage (very rare model) Omega restored, I stopped in with a different Omega that needs only a revision (cleaning, oiling, adjustment / timing) to "feel" out the service. I went to both locations. I don't give off the Rolex vibe and in the smaller store the fat blonde girl was cold and haughty. I asked about a revision and all she would tell me is that it would take three weeks. So I asked for help with a replacement watch band for my Seiko and even though she said she had a good selection of watch bands she showed me a tray with 5-7 bands. That's it. I felt like she wanted me to leave as soon as possible. So I did. At the larger 'main' location, there was a wider selection of mid-range watches. Forget the high end, they seem to focus primarily on high margin, low quality branded quartzes. The kind of bling for the posers and clueless. No Pateks, Vacheron, Jaeger, etc. They did have a nice selection of pre-owned, but again, no good deals there. The girl with the colored hair was very friendly and helpful and did not seem to have any problem spending time answering my questions about watch bands. So I asked to speak to one of the watch makers about an estimate. Then it all changed. The watch repair man, the person who supposedly was going to do the actual work, was arrogant and condescending. His estimate just to oil, clean and adjust the watch was $350. This, though excessive, might have been acceptable given the quality of the watch had he shown some interest in the work itself - had he told me something about the model, or offered some useful insight or suggestion. Instead he treated this gray haired man like an annoying child and the gold Omega like useless scrap. I won't be taking any of my three collector quality Omegas for servicing by that crusty god of wristwatches. I will send them to a more qualified and secure craftsman. Right time, maybe.
