He didn't push me one way or another, rather, he gave me the information to make the best decision for me. The watch had to be ordered, but came in per expectation. Since he had the foresight to measure my wrist, he had the right number of links taken out, and I was good-to-go. Pricing looked high initially - so make an offer, everything is negotiable. I had such a lovely experience at Williams Jewelers today (a family run business) and feel the need to share, especially during a time where local businesses are struggling just to stay afloat. I went to Williams Jewelers hoping to get several pieces of jewelry cleaned. I had my wedding ring, but also a large bag of random pieces that I had been given by my grandma who passed away. I had no clue the value of those pieces (or if they were even real vs. costume), but was interested in getting an expert eye to assess the collection before cleaning. I was greeted by Carrie who was very friendly and more than happy to help me (even though clearly I wasn't making a jewelry purchase at the time). I absolutely expected to pay service fee for this (especially since I had so many pieces) and she insisted that there was no charge. Such a nice gesture that really made my day! When the time comes to get a new piece of jewelry (anniversary, milestone birthday, etc) I will definitely be going back to Williams Jewelers for both the amazing customer service and their gorgeous sparkly jewelry that literally had me drooling! read more

Great store. Went in there to buy a watch after extensive online research (they only carry TAG and Rolex, but have a great selection of these brands). Kerry was great. They did not have the watch i wanted, but were able to get it from TAG in 2 days, and even discounted it 5%. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The watch came in as predicted. They took my payment, filled out the warranty for me and I was set. No sales pitches for extended warranties or financing, just a good upstanding business that if you have the money they will sell you what you want with no pressure. Williams Jewelers is amazing and Stephanie is its gold star. We went to probably about 20 jewelers in our attempt to find wedding rings, and none even came close to this place. At Williams, Stephanie took amazing care of us, really listened to what we were looking for, and didn't try to "upsell" us. She explained all of our options in a really clear way, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of all the different kinds of metals. What's more, Stephanie really went the extra mile for us. We were a little late with our shopping, but were (mistakenly) under the impression that we'd get our rings on time. When I found out they would take a few extra days, I was a little disappointed but was resigned to waiting. Stephanie heard the disappointment in my voice, and even when I said it was okay, did everything in her power to make sure we got our rings on time. And we did! In addition to Stephanie, any interaction I had with other members of the staff was also great. I can't fully express how happy I was with this jeweler and how much of a relief it was to come across people who are so honest, so caring, and so welcoming after a string of jewelers who were anything but. We had a less than ideal experience with Williams. I had a family stone that I wanted to use in my fiancé's engagement ring and they didn't take the necessary precaution to ensure inclusions didn't rise to the surface during resizing. They resized the band without taking the center stone out and brought an inclusion to the surface, which diminished the value of the stone. When I asked them, two weeks after dropping off the ring for the resizing, when the ring would be ready, they said they texted my fiancé to let her know the ring was ready. My fiancé never received a text and, had I not called, we probably would not have received the ring when her friends came into town. If you want a jeweler to be honest with you, I'd go to Shane Co. or any other jeweler in town. Williams is just not an honest establishment. read more

This is my first negative Yelp, and I'm bummed to put a business down... but I'd like to help people avoid a bad experience. I brought my great grandmother's wedding ring in to have a lose diamond tightened. The girl who helped me said it would be a quick fix, yet it took weeks and a couple unreturned phone calls. That was enough for me to not go back there, but here's what has me writing a negative review: When I was able to pick it up, the girl told me that they'd tightened the lose stone and that the ring would need re-enforcing in 3 months. Okay, it's old, that makes sense. I asked if it was safe to wear it and she said yes. I wore it twice and ended up losing a diamond - total bummer, but again, it's old. Not wanting to go back I yelped and went to Gusterman's where they told me the ring was missing 12(!) prongs that are meant to hold the stones in; EEP! The girl who helped me at Williams was young, and perhaps not the most experienced, but I can't understand why she wouldn't have noticed and told me just how fragile a condition the ring was in. It would have saved me the heartache and money :(. I do hope that my experience was a total fluke and that everyone has great success there! read more

Awful experience. My family had gone to Williams jewelers for decades. I inherited an emerald from a family member. The personnel in the store commented on how unusual and beautiful the natural emerald was. I left it there to be cleaned. I was driving home after I picked it up and could see a crack in the emerald. I took it to another jeweler and they said it was scratched. I went back to Williams and they said the emerald had a flaw. I told them they'd said it was perfect but they denied it. Initially, I was very pleased with the helpful staff. I purchased an engagement ring there. The diamond was valued at 6.2k. The setting brought the ring up to close to 10k. Well, the engagement didn't work out. So, I went back today, the 3rd of October, to return the ring. I expected to lose the value in the setting, of course. But, I was shocked that they valued the actual diamond at 50% of what I purchased it for. Bruce told me that's what he'd pay for the diamond himself. So, either I was mislead about the value of the diamond when I purchased it, or Williams Jewelers marks up their diamonds 100%. Either way, I will never give this store my business again.
