These guys are the real deal: honest, reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable. When one of the tips broke off of my engagement ring, I took it in just to make sure the diamond wasn't going to fall out while I shopped around for a new setting. Lo and behold, they told me that not only could they repair it, the cost was only $60. Boy, was Mr. P happy! They guaranteed the repair to last for at least five years, at which time the ring will be 20 years old. Just in time for a nice anniversary present! The repair looks great and it's hard to tell there's anything different about it. I take it in every few months so they can check all the prongs on my ring and clean my wedding set, all free of charge. They also change my watch batteries as needed. Went there on a recommendation from a friend. Needed to get my wife's platinum wedding ring resized and soldered together with her engagement ring (which had been soldered together 9 years ago by one of those mall jewelry stores that used white gold and did a sloppy job). My buddy warned me, the place is in a strip mall, and looks a liitle shady - but trust him, after you meet these guys you will know they are OLD pros. We got there right at opening on a Sat, got buzzed in, and were done in 10 mins. They cut off her ring super fast, making sure to be careful not to cut her or damage the ring. Determined the size the ring needed to be, chatted up the kids a little bit (showed them a small meteor rock from the case), and we were on our way. A week later my wife picked up the ring and it looks amazing, great soldering job, nice and smooth and high polished - looked like new, and they gave us a free cleaning. When you want your jewelry worked on, you want that old weathered guy, who lives and breathes this stuff. You want him to be a third generation jeweler. These guys are just that - old pros, Armenians I think, and they knew their stuff. I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. read more

After reading the positive reviews, I thought I would try giving Colorado Gold Mart some business. As it turns out, I choose to not give them any business, and felt the need to warn others of the scam I ran into. I went in with some 1904 and earlier Extra Fine Morgan silver dollars, these were originally purchased through AMPEX (American Precious Metals Exchange), and are accurate on their grading. At the time I went in, XF Morgan's were being purchased by AMPEX for $28.10 per coin and they were selling them for $33.93. When I talked with the sales person, (I believe he was one of the owners) and told him I was interested in what they would purchase XF Morgan's for, he went to his computer and pulled up current spot price, not Morgan price (I watched his computer screen). After keying in some numbers on his calculator, he came back over to me, and said the most that he could give me would be $12.86 per coin! I asked if that was the best he could do, and I also mentioned that what he was offering was very low, he just shrugged and said that was the best he could do. His offer wasn't even close to what I could sell them for at spot pricing. It's disappointing that Colorado Gold Mart is no better than a shady auto mechanic. They were offering $15.24 less per coin than AMPEX, and AMPEX notoriously buys low. For those who have given positive reviews, I only hope you really did get what your items were really worth. For those thinking about trying Colorado Gold Mart, my only advice other than to avoid this place, make sure you do your homework and know what your items are worth. As a side note, I have since sold my coins (bag of 100) for $36 per coin to another local dealer. VERY DISSAPOINTED! read more

Back story: I was pretty nervous to get my wedding ring resized (it's from the 1920s and was originally worn by my grandmother). I had a frustrating experience with a DIFFERENT jeweler who worked on my engagement ring (they wiped the engraving off when they resized it) and I didn't want to go through that again. These guys are great. They were professional, attentive and wanted to be sure I was comfortable with what they were going to do to my ring and used full disclosure about the process. I was expecting the process to take weeks but instead I walked out with it that day fitting perfectly. Rather than taking gold away from the ring to make it smaller they used a technique that "squeezed" it smaller. It kept the integrity of the ring in tact and didn't mess with the engraving at all. They also cleaned the ring for me to make it look new. They casually demonstrated that they know exactly what they are doing. They also were funny which made for a more pleasant (less stuffy) experience. I will definitely go back to them for any jewelry I need work on. read more

After reading other reviews on here, I stopped in this morning around 10 am to see if they could resize my engagement ring. I was pretty anxious about this process, and did not want to part with my ring for 2-3 days. I went in here for some maintenance on my rings as well as to get rid of some scrap gold that I hadn't worn for years. I will not mention the jeweler across the street but they offered me $105 less than what Colorado Gold Mart gave me and also rhodium plates at a MUCH cheaper price.
