Because his extremel;y aggressive brain tumor started causing agitation, violence and suicidal ideation, they called ACS as a mental health emergency, not a medical issue. When the place wanted him transferred to the hospital, they insisted that he go to UNM for mental health treatment instead to the va for his end-of-life treatment. I have been told that he left the building, but no one knows if he went to the VA or UNM. Addendum: physically the place is a pit, but the nurses and aides i met were wonderful despite the difficulty of handling my friend. Also the people from Albuquerque Community Safety were very nice.
