These guys are straightforward and efficient. They did my roof a few months ago, and while I'm no expert on craftsmanship, I certainly don't have any complaints on quality. The reason I felt the need to leave off a star is the way my job was quoted - the gentleman that came by was very polite and helpful. However, when the time came to make me an offer, he really made it seem "urgent." Saying things like "this is a one-time offer," and giving me an anchor price and discounting from there... etc. Clearly, it worked, and I've got a nice roof with a good warranty. But that was pretty unpleasant. Still, in a time where you can't get a return phone call from most construction companies, and those that do will cut corners, I feel very comfortable working with these guys. read more

Did not see my other review so the best thing I can say about right turn is they know how to pass the blame onto somebody else what was that you said Mason any plumber worth his weight in salt would fix that for free well what if we say that about right turn construction the vinyl flooring is way below what you called not your standard yet here I am with a patched floor and I can push my finger down in one spot yet nothing was done with it. read more

I wanted my bedroom window replaced with a sliding door and turn the bedroom into a garden room. The Right Turn crew came out this week and did the work quickly, efficiently and they were very polite AND ensured that my dogs got lots of attention too! They have been terrific and I would recommend them to anyone. The sliding window looks great and will be totally awesome once they finish the trim today. The crew are really friendly and very professional and have worked with me to make this happen. 5 stars for sure! read more

So they cold call me, ask a bunch of questions and I say Yes I need some work done on the house. Great so we set an appointment. Two days later one of them call back and ask more questions and then cancel the appointment because the job is not big enough. It is a waste of their time. MF! You called me to ask if you could help! Right Turn Construction did a very good job installing the flooring in our kitchen. The job looked great, the employees were clean cut and had clean mouths. They installed a barrier between the kitchen and the living room during the project so that the dust and adhesive didn't bother my wife's and my asthma. They kept things clean during construction and removed all the debris during and after the job was done. My wife and I are so happy with them that when the loan on the kitchen flooring is paid down we are going to have them take up the carpet in the living room and hallway and install flooring there. read more

This company was doing work in my neighborhood, and left flyers on my door, so I called them to get a quote for a new garage. The person who came out was very nice, but pressured me, saying the price was a one time offer, so I agreed. This was my first time dealing with contractors, and I should have known better. A large dumpster was delivered, and as I was also doing remodeling inside my house, I put some of that construction debris in the dumpster before they started demolition on my old garage. I got a very rude and nasty call from Geoff, one of the owners, telling me I couldn't put "garbage" in the dumpster. I explained that it was construction debris, and asked him if I was paying for the dumpster, and he yelled at me some more! They sent out 2 high school kids with sledge hammers to do the demolition. They had no hard hats, safety glasses or any other type of protection. Just shorts and t-shirts. My boyfriend had to help them, as they had no idea what they were doing. These things should have been a red flag, but I didn't complain. The next step was the concrete. I arrived at my house to find the front door wide open, and MY extension cord running out to the back. There was a scary looking guy using my power to run his saw. I asked him how he got into my locked house, and he said he used "a credit card to jimmy the lock". THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I called Ryland the project manager/architect, and asked WTF ? I wasn't even called to let me know he was coming, and then he broke into my house??? This didn't make me feel safe! The people at Right Turn construction(Ryland & Mason)reassured me, and apologized. Once the concrete was done, things went along pretty well. The framing contractors were great! Ryland asked me what size windows I wanted for the upper story , I told him I wanted a 4'x 4' in the front, and a small slider 1' x 3' in the back. When the windows were installed, I discovered they put a 3' x4' in the front. I could live with that. The rear window was a 1'x3' solid window that didn't open! I called and asked that it be changed to a slider, as that was what I had requested. I was promised that they would do that...and I kept calling, and getting different excuses- they were waiting for it to come in, it got lost in their new warehouse, and finally,"we don't have a ladder that tall." I had been calling about once a month for about a year, talking to Kerry or Ryland. Then the last time I called, the owner, Geoff answered, and yelled at me again, insisting that I had requested a solid plate glass window, and they would not replace it! This was a total lie, but I finally gave up when he said that Ryland and Kerry didn't work there any more, and it was their fault. So the 5 year warranty that they advertised was worthless! The only reason I gave it a 2 is because the framing contractors were great! This project was completed in 2005, and they kept cold calling me for years, to ask if everything was good, and I would say NO, and explain why, and then the next time they would ask the same question, I would give the same answer, etc, etc. etc. I would not recommend them, especially if Geoff is still involved. read more

Cold calling isn't impressive. The one time I answered (the others were when I wasn't available) I explained I wasn't interested and please take me off the list. She was nice, said OK. Now, a month or so later, I find they called again. I would never hire someone who persisted after being told no. read more

Cold called yet another number on the Do Not Call registry to tell me they were doing work in my area. Didn't seem to care when I told them that. If this company has no respect for the law regarding calling you, why would we think they would have any respect for laws and standards regarding construction on our home? read more

Right Turn Construction is wonderful! The men that work there are very professional and did an excellent job on my home. Instead of covering up things to "get the job done" they kept me informed and did the job right! I highly recommend them for any building/remodeling job you need done! read more

I'm not convinced, they did not seem like they wanted the job because it was too small, they never followed up and we never got the upgrade we wanted. Very disappointed and they were the ones who tried hard to get my business. I would not recommend this company. read more

This company was hired by my 80 year old mother to do a repair on her home. Included repairing any water damage caused by the exterior door they were framing in.The wall bowed out after they finished. I asked for a copy of building permit and a sign off by the building inspector. He said he did not need one. He was wrong ! He tried to intimidate me and my mother. He called me a liar and after I ask him ( Mason ) to leave he stood in her front yard yelling that my mom was a scammer. I'm sorry but you don't treat people that way. I 'm a retired General Contractor with 25 years of service in Washington State. They charged her 5,500.00 for 3 sheets of siding, 1 window, 3- 2x4s , 1- 2x8 and a sheet of plywood. I agree with OregonCity C. They cold called us right when we were planning a master bathroom upgrade. I have to cross the Interstate Bridge everyday, so scheduling home repairs is a tricky business. We made an appointment for 6:00 pm and I left work early to make sure I was home. They called us late afternoon and said they were too busy. My wife went to the effort explain my predicament, but that fell of deaf ears. RTC: get your act together. read more

Against my better judgment, Right Turn was hired to replace our roof and gutters. Huge mistake. The corner of the garage gutter leaks constantly. They have sent 3 different people to address the problem and not one of them has been able to solve the problem. Absolutely would not recommend this company. read more

We had them come out to give us a quote after call after call asking for our business. The quote for ~500 square ft. of laminate flooring came to $13,000. Oddly, after the quote they didn't even bother with a follow up call. We're having the job done by another contractor for way less than half their estimate with the same flooring. Didn't seem like they really wanted to do the job or wanted to take advantage of us. read more

Everybody here was just wonderful! Reception always hooked us up, never made us wait, & sales was surprisingly fun, when Geoff came to talk about the projects. He is really well traveled & entertaining- such a great guy to meet. He also provided financing at a rate not half bad...When the carpenters arrived, they they knew their stuff, did quality work ( even beyond-as Rud, the foreman, went to not a small amount of extra trouble to build a little trap door & trim on one of the projects so that my husband would not have to spend his weekend doing that. This kindness was SO appreciated! Thank you, Rud!) In all, we had them do 3 separate projects & are very happy with the results. We plan putting on a 2nd story addition in the near future & Right turn will be the ones to do it. PS-check out Geoff's notebook & see photos of their work--I was surprised how affordable & cool looking they can make even a plain old pre-fab ranch look. read more
