ken was very helpful helping me get a car and had a positive attitude the whole time, answering any questions I had. There were a few hiccups with the first 3 options having a lot of mechanical issues and needed detailing, but the last one made up for it. The only thing I wish was the cars were already detailed before showing for sale. I had to clean the car myself, but it wasn't nothing drastic but still wasnt in my plans cause the vehicle still came out to alot after interest but this was to help me rebuild my credit. This is the place to go if you're repairing your credit. So the better your down payment, the better the car. They take out the payments according to your pay schedule. This way your payments are on time each month. They put kill switches in the cars so they won't start up if you miss a payment. Think if it as Rent A Center on wheels. Jhessica or Ms Coleman are the people to go see. Very nice ladies. The interest rates are extremely high. So, I suggest keeping the car for a year or 1 1/2 years at most and refinancing or trading it in and getting from under the loan period. You definitely do NOT want to pay the car off. If you do, you're overpaying for the value of the car. Lastly, get an extended warranty. The warranty given is either so many miles or 6 months. As with anything, protect your investment. The service center is open Monday-Friday 9-4:30.(?) I give the question mark because I would get there before 4:30. As it seems some days they close by 4. No weekends for service/repair/oil changes. Rightway?! Is the wrong way for so many reasons! Their tactics are crooked! They lead you to believe you are approved for a loan, online, with $0 down. This they admit is just to get you in thier store where they take the real credit application. Then you might get approved but you likely will have to pay a large down payment. They don't have any of the cars you liked on their website because they are all at a different location and you will have to pay $1500 for them to ship you what you want if you're credit is good enough to get what you want. You will likely get approved for a Choice of 2 cars neither will be what you want and instead or the low payments you saw online you will be paying $600 a month. Do not go to Rightway auto in Joliet Illinois. They do not check their cars as claimed and sell you cars with many issues That YOU will have to pay for. Purchased a vehicle and a week later had brought it back for a tail light that flickered a cracked fog light and headlight . Had a friend purchase A vehicle and got a flat on the way home and engine light now is on and both cars were taken back and was told basically it's your problem was accused of damaging our brand new vehicles. My roommate didn't even get to pick a car he liked. It all happened so fast and they knew he couldn't get financing anywhere else so they pull up in a car that had nothing, no key fob, no power windows, stains all on the ceiling and said they don't believe in car fax. He signed for 17 grand! They had him set up no fault which is his fault too he should have got full coverage. Anyways it was totaled several months later and they took off. This place has the worst customer service ever. When I got my car I wasn't told how much my car note would be until they printed up all of my paperwork and asked me to start signing. It took over three weeks got me to get my license plate that I'm sure they didn't even request until my second time asking for it and the day before my temp plate expired. I was not given another temp plate. I had to raise hell until they gave me a dealer plate. And they gave me a hard time getting that after I expressed that I work 8am-10pm Monday-Friday and I didn't have time to come into the office. Two no the later in trying to get an oil chair and I called the day before for the service center hours. I was told they close @ 6 then put on hold- the call hung up on me. I come at 5:30 on a Friday I called ahead and no one answered buy the hours say 6 and I didn't get off work until 5. I'm outside the garage honking and calling right way for ten minutes before someone finally turns the lights out in the service center and comes outside and tells me the oil change guy leaves at 5... I'm like so why wasn't I told that the day before. She just walks away. I called four times and was redirected to a voicemail or hung up on every time. We gave him all of our paperwork and went through the paperwork after they've run my credit I noticed bill kept getting up to talk to the financing lady and whispering with her back and forth and would come and sit down and not say anything to us. This was probably the worse car experience I ever had. The woman who assisted my Husband and I was flat out Rude and very unprofessional. She never asked enough questions to find out the type of car we were interested in. After we provided all our information...She literally came back with a dealer plate and told us to go test drive a car she had pulled up front. When I questioned her about how she can just randomly chose a car for us, she was very argumentative. I explained to her in all my years of buying and leasing vehicles over my life span, I have never Not been given the opportunity to choose the make, model or color of the vehicle I was about to purchase. After the conversation got heated the manager came over and tried to explain how they do things after my Husband and I expressed to her our disappointment, the Manager said that she would take care of us from this point on. Both my husband and I bought vehicles less than 6 months ago! The worst decision we ever have made! Not only were both vehicles dirty inside and out, my husbands SUV had to be towed back to the garage the next day because it had no OIL in it! Currently his engine light is still on in his car. We have had to replace the battery in both vehicles already too. My car has gone in now 3 times. The back door wouldn't open, the master cylinder was replaced and today the whole fuse box needs to be replaced! Oh and the fuse box isn't covered by the warranty which expires this month, so this is costing me $250 right at Christmas time! My husband and I feel like the biggest fools on the planet right now. Why we drove off the lot in these lemons I haven't a clue. The only thing I can express to anyone who crosses my path is stay clear of RightWay because its the WrongWay!!! Rightway Auto is a good place to go if you have bad credit and want to repair it. The downside is, you will pay way too much for an older car at an extremely high interest rate (my vehicle cost is over double it's actual value). My experience going there was mediocre at best. I started working with Lana (who is no longer there) she was extremely nice and wanted to help. She showed me a few cars, the first one had cigarette burns all over the seats, the second smelled like moth balls so bad I couldn't even test drive it. After seeing a few more cars I still wasn't finding something that felt right so the manager Ben (also, no longer there) stepped in to help and brought me a newer car ('09) than all the other ones I looked at. I test drove it and liked it. I decided to purchase that car. The biggest thing i wanted was heat in my car because this was in Feb. and my old car had no heat. I bought the car and drove it home, about halfway home it the heat stopped working and it started smoking. I called Ben and he said he would have someone pick it up in the morning and fix it. When my car was "fixed" i went back to pick it up got about half way home and the heat stopped and it started smoking AGAIN!! They had it towed for a second time and "fixed" it. I've now had the car for almost 6 months and for a 3rd time my car started smoking and all the radiator fluid came out of the bottom of my car. I took it to a shop near my work and they finally fixed it correctly. They said whoever repaired before put all the hoses on incorrectly and through driving the vibrations eventually knocked them off. So if you are looking to repair your credit and have extra money to spend on a car that will need a ton of repairs, this is your place. If you do not have the money to do that, I do not recommend going here. This car will probably be dead before I finish paying it off. read more

Rightway is a scam!!! Think the program through before you sign anything. My husband and I went to purchase a used, high mileage vehicle for work. We wanted to use the credit building loan until we found out the details. The vehicle they were trying to sell us is blue booked around $2000. After providing all of the information and documents for the loan, the sales person told us the payments would be $200 every 2 weeks. Wtf? Didn't make sense. After finally repeatedly going over the math with the salesman I finally made him realize that I was not giving in until I saw the layout. They were charging us 29% interest (to be expected with terrible credit) but were also charging us $11,000 for the car!!!!!!!!! It is worth $2000!!!!!! He had no explanation except for that they don't expect us to pay the life of the loan, they expect for us to pay for 2 years and come back to trade in for something else. So, let's pay for 2 years, bring back a car that we would still owe double what the car is even worth, and then they would give us a better deal. Yeah, I'm sure since you are giving me such a great deal now. And if you try to trade it in anywhere else, you couldn't even trade it in and break even. I can't believe this is actually legal. They get around raising the interest rate over 30% by raising the price of the cars to something extreme. Don't give them anymore business! They pray on vulnerability. At $400 a month payments, the $2000 car is paid off in 3 months. Save up, ride the bus for 2 months. If you are trying to use this for credit repair, don't waste your time. Get a secured credit card, fee is usually $250. Keep the limit down so you aren't charging what you can't afford. A $250 fee is a lot cheaper then overpaying $9000 for a vehicle. read more
