The salmon was buttery, and the ahi was super flavorful. This location is less busy than the Sorrento Valley and Liberty Station locations, but there was plenty of space to sit inside and in the back of the restaurant. Fantastic poke, no complaints. There are a couple of locations out here and yesterday for lunch I came here to get a medium poke bowl. I had the soyu ahi and firecracker salmon, both delicious and so fresh. Had it on a bed of greens and white rice and furikake sprinkled on top. I also got a small side of macaroni salad and that was also very good. I'll definitely come back and they have daily specials and HH too. If I could eat poke everyday, I would! The Mira Mesa location is my go to, but since I started work at Poway this location is easily accessible. They have a great selection of Poke. Totally reminds me of Oahu. Came in for lunch wasn't sure exactly what to expect. They had some ceviche I was very interested in but when I saw tuna belly, my decision had been made for me. They offer the plate with two sides, I doubled up on rice. The tuna belly was cooked extremely well, and the flavor was amazing. They do a great job of having a balanced dressing so that you can still taste the fresh and fatty fish. The service is always good and so consistent. We placed an order through the phone because they do 10% off on Thursdays if you do takeout. We got there around 12:45 on Thursday afternoon for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. I got the plate with 2 different pokes and rice, and also got some 50% off poke (from yesterday). I wished they offered potato or macaroni salad instead of just rice, but I didn't have a problem finishing it in one sitting. I'd be there weekly but Poke is a little pricey. Will continue to return. Came here after the Safari park because hubby was craving poke. We saw the positive reviews and decided to come here an order takeout for a late lunch. We ordered the poke plate. It comes with 2 scoops of rice and 3 big scoops of poke. We got the Pearl Harbor, garlic salmon, and got the bluefin tuna, which was an extra $4. The portion was very generous and my husband and I split it. I enjoyed the Pearl Harbor the most, which has a nice umami flavor from the oyster sauce. A close second was the bluefin tuna. The garlic salmon was tasty as well. My only complaint was there were a few sinewy pieces that made it really chewy. Despite this, I thought this place was still worthwhile and a great value for $28. We came on a Tuesday so I had to try their Taco Tuesday special ($5 each). They were freshly made with a very unique but tasty Harissa sauce. My wife had a bowl of Cilantro Mayo Poke and it was delicious too. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They made our order quickly and the fish in my tacos was nice and hot (temp-wise). The staff welcomed us in as soon as we walked through the door. We had a few food allergies so they were able to answer our questions about certain ingredients. This place was such a disappointment! When I first walked in (9/8/26 @12:16pm) the lady taking the orders had such an attitude to the person before me and to myself. It's like she was rushing us out of there and there was no line at all. The fish didn't taste fresh at all, the rice was not good, very dry. The canned drink I got was not cold, the poke was colder than my drink. On a hot day I need my drink to be cold the spam musubi had way too much sauce in it. I didn't finish any of my food. There's also a kiosk where you can place your order if you prefer to do that instead of ordering at the counter. They have a nice selection of rotating poke flavors. Freshest poke in town! We usually frequent the Mira Mesa location and we're absolutely thrilled to find that they had opened one up in Poway. The location is tiny but there are a few tables outside and some in the back of the restaurant. Whether you prefer a light lunch or heftier meal, you can choose a customized small or medium bowl or a poke plate. The last time we went, I tried the Garlic Shrimp but it wasn't as flavorful as the plates I've had Giovanni's and Romy's Kahuku Prawns & Shrimp. I guess I was expecting something more along those lines. For poke, I quite enjoy their Garlic Salmon, Spicy Ahi and Poke Nachos...always a crowd pleaser. We're also fans of their spam musubis which are cooked up to order, nice and piping hot. I believe they run about $5 each and never disappoint. It is located in the old "Greens Please" location and if you've been there, you know how bad parking can be. So plan ahead.
