Variety of poke and beverages for sale

This is a smaller location than the one in Sorrento Valley but it's just as good. Their poke bowls are fresh and delicious. They also have ceviche. But I came here specifically to get their day old poke which is 40% off. They only have a limited amount and it's best to get it when they open cuz it does sell out quickly. This day old poke is still fresh and I use it make my own bowls at home. I got the shoyu poke and the Alahao which is only available on Wed. (This is why I go there on Thur.) Alahao is a mix of salmon, ahi and imitation crab in a creamy slighter sweeter sauce. I love it! Always friendly service here.

Came in for lunch wasn't sure exactly what to expect. They had some ceviche I was very interested in but when I saw tuna belly, my decision had been made for me. They offer the plate with two sides, I doubled up on rice. The tuna belly was cooked extremely well, and the flavor was amazing. I don't have much to comment on the service as they mostly stay behind counter and there was little to no interaction with the staff. But the gentleman who took my order was friendly and greeted everyone both on the way in and out.

Yes! Best poke in San Diego bar none. Been here many times and have bought many, many pounds of poke. My personal faves are the limu and shoyu ahi. Delicious! Walk, don't run, to HFS!

Such a nice treat for lunch during work. I had the avocado salmon and shoyu ahi, and it was delicious. They do a great job of having a balanced dressing so that you can still taste the fresh and fatty fish. The service is always good and so consistent. I think the only hard part is the funky shape of the store, so standing in line can feel a bit awkward, but what can you do. They have a few nice shaded picnic tables outside that remind me of the first location in Mira Mesa, and it's a great place to share a meal with friends, or coworkers, or friend-coworkers haha.

Overall very delicious and the workers move quick, fish tasted fresh. Overall I paid 32.30$ which is fairly priced for how big their servings are

If you want fresh and tasty Poke, Hawaiian Fresh Seafood is the place. They have many variety of poke to choose from and they are all very good. They sell the Poke by the pound or by the bowl size. We came on a Tuesday so I had to try their Taco Tuesday special ($5 each). They were freshly made with a very unique but tasty Harissa sauce. My wife had a bowl of Cilantro Mayo Poke and it was delicious too. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They made our order quickly and the fish in my tacos was nice and hot (temp-wise). We are glad that they opened the 2nd location in Poway.

I come to San Diego a lot and HFS is a non-negotiable for me -- I have to get poke while I'm here. The garlic salmon and miso salmon (!!) have remained my favorites, but I love ahi to mix it up a little bit. Their plate is the perfect amount for me and one other person to share, even when we do half rice half salad. We placed an order through the phone because they do 10% off on Thursdays if you do takeout. We got there around 12:45 on Thursday afternoon for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. They made our order fresh when we got there, but there were definitely other customers coming to pick up their orders as well. HFS has always been fast with service even with lines out the door (@ Liberty Station) so I wasn't expecting anything less.

Yummy Hawaii style poke! The fish is very fresh and flavorful. Love the shoyu and their spicy based salmon!!! Definitely returning to try other flavors

Fish lovers... this place is special. What it isn't: It's not your typical San Diego "Subway-style" poke bar with a billion toppings, sugary sauces, and gimmicks to hide mediocre fish. What it is: Pure, insanely fresh, high-quality seafood mixed with just enough flavor to highlight the fish -- not drown it. Simple, intentional, respectful of the ingredients, and served over rice or salad the way good poke should be. I had the bluefin tuna and the Kīlauea salmon and both were outstanding... buttery, clean, flavorful, and clearly fresh. Portions are generous too. The medium bowl handled both my early lunch and my afternoon snack... and I eat a lot, so that's saying something. It's order-at-the-counter, pay, and pick up - which I actually appreciate because it keeps everything quick and efficient. The dining area is cozy and no-frills, leaning a bit more toward takeout vibes, but still totally comfortable for sitting down and enjoying lunch with friends. No nonsense, no fluff, no hiding behind toppings. Just phenomenal seafood done right. I'll absolutely be back.

The Ahi poke Pearl Harbor had many pieces with inedible fibers (see photo). The same poke had almost no dressing / seasoning, which isn't what I bought. I took the order to go, so didn't discover these issues until I got home. I have eaten here many times in the past, and the poke was great. If this were my only experience with them, this would have been a 1 star restaurant.

The taste of Hawaii I was craving minus the cost of a round trip flight. Excellent service, clean spot and an island relaxed vibe with simple decor that makes you think you've escaped to paradise. Their food is delicious and their potions are huge. I wouldn't hesitate to drop in again soon. Rain or shine, it's worth the drive and the effort to walk in.

Love this new location of Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in Poway. It's centrally located (central in Poway) and convenient. There is ample seating both inside and outside on the patio. The staff welcomed us in as soon as we walked through the door. We had a few food allergies so they were able to answer our questions about certain ingredients. We ordered the Shoyu and the Garlic Salmon and some white rice. All delicious. We sat inside and enjoyed the upbeat music playing over the speakers. Parking was plentiful as it is located in a big shopping plaza. The only thing to be mindful of is the Starbucks drive-thru line.

Second time here. Food is amazing and service is always nice. The peral harbor and spicy ahi are my favorites!

Whether you're dining here for a date night, family lunch, or happy hour, you won't be disappointed. They offer complimentary butter and bread, a sourdough and a pumpernickel, that I could literally eat all day, it was so good. If you want exceptional seafood, you must try this spot, they know how to prepare seafood and the service was exceptional too. Kid friendly with great seafood and non-seafood options (which is rare) and HUGE PORTIONS for just $10. What we ordered: Calamari Strips (Happy hour) - 9/10 we are suckers for calamari strips over the rings and tentacles and the jalapeno cheese sauce just elevates this dish to another level Fried fish slider (Happy hour) - 9/10 huge piece of lightly battered fish with a supper buttery brioche bun Oysters (Happy hour) - 10/10 beautiful presentation! Potato skins (Happy hour) - 7/10 nothing special about these, but they were good Crab & Shrimp Fondue - 10/10 I live for this fondue, it has the perfect balance of seafood and cheese without being too rich, but also the dipping vessel, grilled baguette slices, is a match made in heaven Avocado Swordfish - 10/10 this dish blew my mind, the swordfish melted in my mouth and super creamy cheesy risotto, only miss was there was no seasoning on the broccolini Wok Charred Ahi - very light and flavorful, but also the cook on the ahi was exactly how it should be, seared on the outside w/pink in the center Kids Fried Shrimp - 8/10 I only gave this a lower score because it had a bit too much breading, which our daughter doesn't like, but otherwise the shrimp was cooked perfectly Mud Pie - 9/10 this dessert was enormous and everything you'd expect from a mud pie, no disappointment here! We were very disappointed in the kids meals. They were inedible. Unfortunately the kids didn't tell us until the end of the meal. The chicken strips were noticeably Burt when they first came to the table. We sent it back, but apparently they were still inedible the second time as well. The noodles with butter were also inedible. So bad the child didn't want to eat them there or take them home. The fried artichoke, Brussels sprouts, salads and fish tacos were up to our usual standards. Very happy about that. A few cocktails were order as well. One thing our large group appreciated was being able to pay with the QR code and pay by item. It made it easy for us to all pay for ourselves and kids if we had any with us as well as our individual drinks, alcoholic or non alcoholic. Thank you for making that an option. No one wants to do the math or be left paying for someone else's cocktail.

I love going to supermarkets and especially ones that I am not familiar with and like to explore and discover new things to try. This market is fairly small and it had basically two aisles but its filled from floor to ceiling with Russian and Eastern European goods. The front deli case has all the smoked fish you want and also plenty of different kinds of sausages too. And since its the holidays, there are also plenty of fun chocolates and gift items! I chose to buy some rusk bread crisps (salmon and cheese flavored) and Russian style egg salad. Both were good! I didnt know what to expect with Russian style egg salad as it has cheese and fresh garlic in it, so I was a little worried if I didnt like it, but good thing is that I definitely liked it and can definitely pair them with some Carr crackers as a snack! Almost everyone in here was speaking Russian and I definitely felt like a weirdo in there but everyone was nice to me and welcoming. My only gripe is that the rusk crisp was labeled as $1.99 and I was charged $2.50. Id come back here again and try other things too next time.

Since Korean food options are scarce in the Poway area, I visited with equal parts curiosity and hope. Tucked away in an industrial corner near Costco in Poway, this spot operates alongside a poke restaurant -- separate, yet sharing the same space. Because the menu is impressively long and diverse, I highly recommend checking it online before visiting. Despite the extensive menu, the restaurant itself is simple, casual, clean, and surprisingly spacious. It reminded me a lot of a Korean food court -- relaxed, practical, and full of variety. The menu reflects that same food-court spirit, offering many different dishes as if several vendors were gathered under one roof. We wanted to try a range of items, so we ordered kimbap, tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake dumpling soup), spicy shrimp sauté, bulgogi, and tonkatsu. All dishes were served in to-go style containers, which honestly matched the casual atmosphere quite well. The tteok-mandu-guk was especially comforting and flavorful. The spicy shrimp dish had a generous portion, and the sauce carried a pleasant level of heat without being overwhelming. The bulgogi was tender with well-balanced seasoning. The kimbap tasted good, though it felt slightly cold, and the pieces were quite large -- a bit difficult to eat comfortably. The tonkatsu was ordered for my son, and he enjoyed both the flavor and the generous portion. Overall, the food had a warm, homemade feel that I really appreciated. With such a large menu, this is definitely a place worth revisiting multiple times just to explore more dishes. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, adding an extra layer of warmth to the experience. Flavor, portion size, and service were all strong, and the prices are consistent with typical San Diego dining -- nothing surprising there. The location is convenient enough that whenever I'm craving Korean comfort food in Poway, this will be an easy choice. I'm already thinking about what to try next. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Korean food -- especially if you love discovering low-key neighborhood gems.
