Thank you. (3 stars previously). I came here specifically looking for a USED tire because I'm currently driving on a donut and trying to stay within a budget. I called beforehand asking about getting a tire changed and at no point was I told they only had NEW tires in stock, that there would be a card fee, or how busy things were. I understand I could have specifically asked more detailed questions over the phone, but as a customer I didn't think I needed to clarify whether a used tire shop actually had used tires available. I also didn't know there was an additional fee for paying by card until arriving. What frustrated me most was standing there waiting around for about 30 minutes before finally being told there were no used tires available at all. Even a simple heads up to customers waiting such as "just so everyone knows, we currently only have new tires in stock" would have saved people time, gas, and frustration. The employee wasn't necessarily rude, but the overall experience felt very disorganized and communication was lacking. As a business owner myself, I know communication is what keeps transactions smooth on both sides. Customers may forget to ask certain questions, but businesses should also proactively communicate important information that affects pricing, inventory, and expectations. I ended up leaving frustrated because I drove out specifically for an affordable used tire option and that ultimately was not available.

A couple of other people arrived after me and waited by the door. When they opened, I was still the first person they approached and confirmed my appointment. My car came with upsized aftermarket rims and I asked them to install the new tires on my stock oem wheels which I had brought, still wrapped from being stored. They swapped the wheels and installed the oem back on the car with the new tires, wrapped my aftermarket rims and put them in the trunk and backseat for me to store until I either sell or install in our suv. I came in the afternoon and was pressed for time so it was my mistake not to review the quote. They add on items that should already be part of the repair. Other things to keep in mind with this Glendale branch: (1) If you buy tires from Firestone they charge extra for balancing unlike Discount Tire Centers or America's Tire where it is included, so you save money buying tires elsewhere, (2) They do not deduct diagnostic fees when you authorize the repair unlike all other Service Centers even Dealerships, they also don't tell you that beforehand, (3) Firestone will overcharge you for parts. Granted dealerships will do the same but it's just a sleazy practice that no one should be doing. (4) They will not thoroughly explain what's included on the costs. Like I said I should have reviewed the quote in detail. They added hazard protection for the tires without letting me know, which added $125 to my bill. My verdict is go elsewhere. These people will pad your invoice and are dishonest and deceptive. BE FOREWARNED!
