I called around to find a tire shop to work on my Hummer H3. I wanted larger tires/wheels set-up. I went to a few places in Los Angeles to shop around for prices and really search for that shop that knows what they're doing. It's not something I can explain, but I know most customers know it when they find it especially the ones that care a lot about their cars like I do. A shop that's honest at what they do. A shop that's there to help, guide and make sure you're getting good value for your money. The moment I came to Wheel Tech, I just knew this was the shop for me. The owner sat me down in his office and asked me questions about my vehicle and what I wanted. I've done my research, so I know if the person was BSing me.....that was not the case with Ray. He knew exactly what I wanted and he didn't make me feel dumb about it. Instead, he made me feel lucky for quoting me the best price. I told him that people online said I might run into problems with rubbing the larger wheels against the wheel well if I don't raise the vehicle. Ray walked me through the process of different scenarios and reassured me that he would make it work one way or another. I texted him what I read online soon after I left the shop. He responded right away and gave me the reassurance that his team will help me make it work. He went ahead and ordered the parts without asking me for a deposit. He trusted me and that's rare for most vendors now a days. The parts came all the way from Colorado, so it took a few days, but exactly when he estimated it would come. I left my car at his shop late morning and came back in the afternoon. Once I got there, I saw his entire team working on my car. What I witnessed next is what compelled me to write this review. These guys went above and beyond the call of duty. They worked together to make sure everything was dialed in, that there was no rubbing on my wheel well and that my old wheels and tires were properly packed in my trunk. Ray's brother Romeo test drove my car around the block a few times, and measured the gap between the center of the wheel and bottom of the fender, it was uneven at first, so he adjusted down to centimeters to make sure both side were even. I'm not kidding when I say centimeter, he had a ruler adjusting the torsion bar inch by inch. From now on, I will always come to Wheel Tech for any wheel, tire related work on all my vehicle. They're simply the best when it comes to price, customer service and knowledge.

I have been fixing up my 1997 Ford Ranger for my son. The tire tread was good but the rubber was extremely damaged from the California sun. After speaking with numerous tire shops, I met Ray. The original rims were 14" which is now an uncommon size. Ray suggested I get 15" rims so I could have a better variety of tires and it would give me a better look (less space in the wheel well). Ray did a great job of beating my other quote for new rims, tires, mount and balance. He understood exactly what I was looking for; a new clean look without spending a ton of money! I came here my first time to get tires mounted on my wife's 2018 Audi Q7. Ray was the first guy ever to actually know the air suspension on the Q7 needs to be locked into position before the car is lifted and tires are changed to prevent accidental damage or tear of the Q7's air suspension bags. He won me over right there! Furthermore, one of the tires had some sort of corrosive damage on it, Ray saw it and pointed it out saying tire should not be mounted in that condition because it was unsafe. I called tire rack with a picture and they immediately saw what Ray had seen and sent me replacement tire right away. Kudos to Tire Rack, but damn, bless you Ray for looking out for the customer like that, now that's SERVICE! I'm a very busy professional and I know professionalism when I experience it. My M5 needs new tires, guess where I'm going to get the install? Wheel Tech! You should too! read more

GX460, Ridge Grapplers 33x12.5, 2.5in lift I was battling a vibration, shaky steering wheel issue for a couple of days and I read that road force balance would solve the issue. I called around 13 shops that had road force and explained the issue I was having. (I personally need to understand if road force was required and how much of a difference it will make.) None of the shops had the knowledge or experience to explain how superior road force balancing is and if it was necessary for my application. I felt as if I was talking to a technician that just takes the wheel off the car, puts it on a machine pushes a couple of buttons and doesn't actually comprehend what they are doing. Wheel Tech on the other hand was able to completely explain the whole process and why in it is or is not needed for certain applications. When I spoke to Roy he explained that road force balance does not work with Off Road tires because of the knobbiness. He mentioned that a high quality precise balancer should be able to solve the problem I was having. I brought in the car and watched. The first thing they did was verify if the wheels needed any weights. They took off the front left tire and found that it needed 2.25 oz. Instead of adding weights on top of weights they completely cleaned all the weights off the rim and vigorously cleaned all the dirt, oils, and mud (took about 7mins per rim). They found that all the rims had a bad wheel balance gave me peace of mind that it will be solved. This is why you drive out of the way to an expert that actually understand what they are doing and why. Some shops just care about speed and not quality... Wheel tech took the time and for this reason they have a customer for life. I can not stress to you how important it is to find a shop that actually cares for quality over quantity. read more

So I needed new tires on my car, and I started looking at costco and the other chains until I remembered a friend years ago recommending TireRack.com. I shopped there and found a great set of tires, and then a list of certified installers which included Wheel Tech Tuning. I'm so glad I found Wheel Tech!! From start to finish, Ray took great care of me. It really felt like a VIP tire experience - he called when the tires arrived from TireRack. When I got there, I had a nice very clean waiting lounge with a comfortable leather sofa. Ray brought me a cup of coffee and I did zoom meetings while my tires were installed. So different from all those tire store waiting rooms you've been in. Warning: you may be tempted by the snazzy wheels on display. Ray and his team are true experts. when it came to balancing, I'd read that my 21" wheels may need the Road Force Balancing service, so I asked for it. Ray however checked things out and said it turned out I didn't need that. He could have easily upsold that service but it was not necessary and he is a professional! And get this, my entire four tires plus install was almost the same as what I'd pay at costco!! Finally, I opted for the wheel repair service, to cure the first few years of LA parking experience and my apartment complex's super narrow driveway. My wheels were pretty scratched up, but the traveling team that came to the shop transformed my wheels back to Like New condition. I got to see some of the magic that involved fine grinding, sanding and even airbrushing. In summary, I would highly recommend Wheel Tech! read more

Do not go here, UNLESS you want your car to go straight without vibrations on the freeway. GX460 upgraded with BFG KO2's I had steering wheel shakes at 60mph and Ray worked his magic and I'm writing this review after 500miles of driving. NO ISSUES! read more

My car tires were in really bad shape, Royce Wraith could not find the tires anywhere, came to Wheel tires -Ray and the boys here took care of me real good. Got my tires ordered and replaced withing few days, in addition i added some quality spacers. Week later ordered new brand new set of tires from Ray again for my x6 gave me amazing price on them, in addition purchased sensors and spacers. Wheel tech is deffinetely staying with me forever. Will be coming here for all my tire needs for sure. I highly suggest you guys all to use Wheel tech only, you never wait more then 20 minutes for your ride to be taken care of, on top of that prices are amazing and anytire size is always going to be found and replaced for you at best rates. Update: I've been back about a dozen times over a few years, and these guys are 100% consistent. Before starting, they discuss with me any particular details of the work that I need, and then they follow instructions to a T. They always take the extra time and effort to make sure that the wheels are balanced as perfectly as possible. This is the only shop that I trust to remove and install wheels on my classic Porsche. In fact, this is the only tire shop in LA that I use and would recommend. read more

The only guys in town with the Cayenne GTS Sport Edition style wheel in factory size. Besides that, the service from Ray was very good. Very attentive throughout the install process. We had a nice chat about old school wheel brands (Antera, TSW, etc) - the guy knows his stuff. I had a specific tire make/model in mind, and he was able to get it within a day. Super quick to respond to emails. They have a Hunter Road Force GSP9700 balancer, which is pretty much the best you can buy. My only issue is that there's no lift on site, so they had to use floor jacks and do one side at a time. It takes a bit longer, but I was in and out faster than the local Discount/America's Tire because they were on it as soon as I arrived. read more

Every concern was met with deflection, gaslighting, or another polished explanation designed to buy more time. Their shop was an incredibly clean and efficient workspace and was packed with high end cars (Ferrari's, Porsches, etc ) so I knew the quality of their work had to be elevated in comparison to similar shops. I was not disappointed! It's now been approximately 3 weeks since my last review regarding my service with Kevin and believe it or not I'm still here waiting for him to install my lights that are supposedly finished. The last time he said he would do a mobile service out to me to install the lights in my car but that has not yet happened and today I receive a text message basically stating that since I gave him a low rating he will not be doing a mobile service anymore and now I have to be inconvenienced by having to drive to his shop in Northridge to get them installed during the week when most of us have to work. So the lack of customer service still continues and then he goes on to say that he won't do a mobile service because there is no guarantee that I won't erase my review and give him 5 stars!!!! What business owner tells a customer that and then he won't refund my money because he says he doesn't refund on custom work well then as an unsatisfied customer he needs to make good on his word and come out to me and make it right, maybe then I'll change my review but until such time I will keep informing the potential customers of what type of service you may run into with this guy. Until he comes out to me and fulfills his commitment to his customer I will continue to give him a 1 star rating. I'm sure after this message he'll be texting me again. Hopefully it's to make it right!!!

I brought him a Jeep that had been sitting for who knows how long -- definitely over 7 years. Most shops would've seen a goldmine and tried to upsell me on everything under the sun. Not Ray. He walked me through exactly what was urgent, what could wait, and what didn't need fixing at all. That kind of honesty is almost unheard of, and he actually came about $500 under my budget! He took care of a ton of work on the Jeep, and not once did I feel rushed, confused, or pressured. His communication is clear, his turnaround time is fast, and his work is solid. The Jeep runs well now, I mean it is a Jeep so there's always going to be something but I trust the car is safe and arguably reliable because of Rays honest work, completely. Ray is more than just a mechanic. He's the Jeep whisperer. If you're lucky enough to get on his schedule, take it. Just don't blame me when he's booked solid because you won't take your ride anywhere else -- I warned you.

THEY SUCK THEY DONT EVEN READ THE EMAILS EMAIL ONE my stock rim tire size on my 2017 bmw 330i x-drive 225/45r18 x squared, 18" x 8" rims going to use those rims for winter m3 competition pkg offers (front) 255/40r18 (rear) 275/40r18 2.24% difference, this is no good has to be less than 1% for x-drive and also offered with the m3 competition pkg (front) 265/30r20 (rear) 285/30r20 just using the 20" tire sizes for maximum width so could i run these ones below with the right offset and correct rim width (widest)? (front) 265/40r18 = 26.35" diameter (rear) 295/35r18 = 26.13" diameter with 285's is more than 1% that's why i chose the 295's 0.82% difference and wider too! j i want to stay with 18" for a comfortable ride, (wider sidewall) and 19"/20" look nicer but they are heavy ,ride rough, vibration, noise, get cracked, bent, broke meant for a smooth as glass race track in my opinion, not for potholes in city driving and if i planned on going to the track i would have bought a m3 (unfortunately no budget for that though, not even a 340) this is for fun, for show, driving around town is this doable, or is there more clearance on a m3? if this is too wide for clearance issues, what is the widest 18" staggered set-up i can cram into those wheel wells with no issues no stretched tires, not of fan of that look anyone ever do this? thank you in advance for your response have a great week and god bless pastor max fox ps: i type in caps, because i cant find my glasses RESPONSE Hi, It won't fit on a regular 3 series. Nowadays it's hard to trust tire and wheel shops when you're running expensive wheels on your car. I've had some bad experiences before with some shops that have scratched my wheels while installing tires and so on. I brought my m6 here today and the guys treated me with exceptional service and treated my ADV.1's with great care. Ray is the best in my book. His prices are better than anyone's and his service/reliability cannot be matched. I live in New York and received my wheel package in 3 days.
