We had Valentines day dinner at Jocovine. We loved the atmosphere and the live music, great vibes for the day. We started with Calamari, which was great. I also got Winter bloom Cosmo, and enjoyed it. We then got Smokey Fusili Salmon, and Chicken Milanese. We loved both our items, especially the Smokey Fusili Salmon. Went during brunch, but they seem to excel in the evening event category offering live music and more. I really enjoyed the cuban sandwich, and they added a nice side salad for me instead of fries! Went on a Saturday night for dinner. It was pretty empty at 6 PM but by the time we left around 7:30, the front half of the restaurant had filled up. A small band was getting ready for live music in the back half of the restaurant as we left. We had some cocktails that were pretty good, but can't remember them all so won't write about those. The bread they give you is not good. Kinda dry and tasteless. They make up for it with the herbed butter, but I always feel like the bread sets the tone for the rest of the meal. For dinner, we had: 1) calamari - 3/5. It was just ok. 2) alfresco salad - 3/5. Too much dressing for me. Made the leaves soggy. 3) beet salad - 4/5. Light dressing with lots of arugula. Good flavor, but I wish it had more beets. 4) rigatoni Bolognese - 5/5. Perfectly al dente and good flavor. 5) lasagna - 4/5. Good balance of bechamel to meaty sauce. 6) seafood paella - 3/5. Flavor was good, but small for the price. Service was good and it's a beautifully decorated place. I just hope they get/make better bread and I suggest skipping the expensive paella. read more

We had ordered "penne primavera" which comes with butternut squash, tomatoes, olive oil. Beautiful and trendy bistro with some of the friendliest and attentive staff! I attended an event in honor of women's history month and it was lovely! I learned that they also have live music and even dancing, which immediately made me want to come back! The food was very tasty, I very much enjoyed their bolognese pasta! Adrian does it again! This was our first time visiting Jocovine. We had been to the two previous bars in this space that ultimately didn't make it. The bar is stunningly beautiful! We loved the decor, it transported us to a different realm. The bartender we recognized from Adrian's restaurant, and she is the best! So nice to talk to and makes great drinks. I was surprised to see the restaurant mostly empty on a Saturday night. I liked the vibe and the decor although I found it a little loud. That was before the band started playing which I actually appreciated for a place in DT Bellevue. Service was attentive and the food was good. We ordered the ceviche which had good flavor and was nicely balanced, their spinach salad, simple but tasty, a lasagna which was missing a top layer of mozzarella and Parmesan, and their seafood risotto which I liked. We also ordered wine and a tequila watermelon cocktail because they were out of their tequila and mango shot which I wanted to try. The drink was overly sweet and we tried to fix it by adding sparkling water (unsuccessful attempt). read more

I have been a regular here for the past few months, and this place has truly become an amazing spot to hang out!   The ambiance is beautiful, and everyone here is incredibly nice. The music is fantastic, and the food is delicious.   The last time I came in for dinner with my girlfriend there was a completely new menu so I wanted to update my review from our dinner last night!   We ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, acqua pazza, and spaghetti de mare. I was thoroughly impressed. My two favorites were the tagliatelle bolognese and acqua pazza. The bolognese is incredibly flavorful, packed with beef and pork. The acqua pazza is a large filet of halibut in one of the best sauces I've ever tasted. It was served on a bed of rice that soaked up the sauce, and I savored every grain! The spaghetti de mare was also delicious, with calamari, prawns, and clams on in one dish!   I have a new favorite cocktail as well: Andrea's Tequila Sour. It's a delightful mix of blackberry, guava, and tequila, and it was incredible.   I've only visited on weekdays so far, but I just learned they have live music on the weekends! My girlfriend and I will definitely be back for the live music and tequila sours! read more

I flew back to Seattle to help celebrate my best friend's birthday this weekend. She hosted it at Jocovine. The atmosphere was welcoming yet elevated. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and attentive. I had their ceviche appetizer, calamari appetizer and zucchini flower appetizer. They were all incredible. For my main I ordered the steak special. While it was great, I definitely think the highlight were the appetizers. Drinks were delicious! Staff brought out drinks promptly. Venue was clean. Great ambiance, especially during live music. Tho it can get very loud, just embrace it and enjoy. Their food was mediocre with nothing that jumped out. Prices were alright for Bellevue, so this is definitely for a place to unwind and catch up with friends during non-live music days, or just a day to chill and be undisturbed with your win and your music. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent! The host was welcoming, and the entire team made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. We ordered the steak sandwich and salmon penne, which was good. They went out of their way to cut it in half for us, which was a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. The interior has a cozy, welcoming feel, but limited seating. You do have the option to reserve a spot in the larger room if you're with a large group. Even the bathroom was well-maintained and spotless. If you're planning to visit on a weekday evening, I'd recommend making a reservation since it can get pretty busy, but the staff makes it easy to book a spot either online or over the phone. I've been to this restaurant a few times, and each visit hasn't left me to impressed until this past Friday night. Waitress was quick with it! I also noticed this brunette staff member who was working incredibly hard, staying attentive, and showing remarkable focus. Her work ethic was pristine and truly impressive. She cleared tables. Fast. It felt like she was keeping the entire place tidy herself. It's clear the restaurant is attracting talent that values professionalism and dedication, and that makes the overall experience even better. This was a cool place! New to Bellevue this year, was a cool place to grab a drink. There's some really neat spaces if you wanted to gather more people and the decoration is really modern. We went on like a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy. We were only there for cocktails however we definitely enjoyed ourselves. The live music was amazing! The decor and atmosphere was so inviting and one of the rare places in Bellevue that opens past 10pm. They seemed a bit understaffed so service was a bit slow. Sad to report that the food was very bland. I have never seen our entire party reach for salt and pepper. Hope they make a chance cause the entertainment is terrific and I would love to come back. They should also consider reconfiguring their tables as the one they sat us at was right next to a door they needed to go in and out of frequently to retrieve supplies. read more

Some of the best service in Bellevue, which is hard to find at times. Beautifully designed place, owned by Adrian, the same man behind the amazing upscale Mexican restaurant a couple doors down. My fiancé and I came and immediately were seated and offered drinks, which came not 5 minutes later. Drinks were great, I had a paper plane which was correctly balanced, and had great ingredients. No complaints here and only wishing them the best! Can't speak to food but I'm sure they live up to Adrian's reputation. Best part was I quickly asked our server if she could whip up a little birthday surprise, and even though the kitchen was already closed she pulled through more than most upscale restaurants could. read more

I visited this restaurant twice in one week. It's a new cozy restaurant with great ambiance. They have a great private meeting room which can convert to a semi-private room for larger groups. It is listed as French cuisine but I think it would be classified as Italian. The first time I visited, I had the charcuterie board, burrata, crabcake, and rigatoni. My only complaint was that the portions seemed small for the appetizers. The rigatoni had great flavor, pasta was al dente. My second visit we ordered Caesar salad, beet arugula salad, cioppino and creamy salmon penne. My husband commented that the penne was like a "grown up Mac and cheese", which isn't a bad thing. The King salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked. The cioppino had a variety of fresh seafood but it could have used more flavor and depth. It was reminiscent of a tomato soup. He said it was bland. I thought the beet salad could've used a tad bit more flavor. It wasn't bad but it could've used maybe black pepper or a stronger vinaigrette. No complaints on the service. Overall it was a nice dinner both times that I visited. I predict it will become a popular spot as word gets out. read more

Don't get me wrong...service was gracious and helpful. We waited quite a while for our table (with a reservation). The place is quite loud on a Friday night. Food was good, not great. There was a miscommunication between kitchen and wait staff as they ended up swapping the fresh fish dish on us without and notice at all. It was a little odd but there was nothing we could do by that point. Burrata app was good. Wedge salad wasn't much to write home about...sort of lacked something. My scallops were just ok. Even with all the sautéed potatoes and onions and all they still had little to no flavor and the potato puree with fried potatoes was kinda redundant. But our waitress was great. Super kind and sweet. I don't think anything was on her...just an overwhelmed kitchen and a full house on a Friday night. Cute place. Fun decor. Seemed lively. Wow! What an elevated dining experience. We needed a really nice new restaurant in Old Bellevue and I'm so glad it's Jocovine. The owners are super nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the ambiance and decor here and can't resist snapping a pic down their cute hallway. The food is high quality and you can tell it's made with care. Visited 10/06/25 Our server was absolutely lovely, friendly, attentive, and a bright light. The drinks were above average. The food was fine, but nothing memorable or compelling enough to make us want to visit again. The two stars are due to the dogs. and their owners. Four doodle/poodle-type dogs belonging to different guests (one dog reportedly the owner's) who were roaming/running unleashed on their own around this small bar/restaurant as well as unexpectedly barking on occasion during our entire 2+ hour visit. I'm a dog lover myself, but as I understand it, technically dogs aren't permitted inside restaurants in King County unless they are a service animal. When I have run across dogs at various bars, they are required to be leashed and under the owner's control at all time. This was not the case at all. As patrons just out to catch up with one another, it made the atmosphere feel unnecessarily chaotic. Additionally, as we were leaving, one of the women in the group came over to our table rather drunkenly (8pm on a Monday night no less) and hung all over my friend for no apparent reason. Just... weird. Overall, while the service was excellent, the experience just wasn't at all what we hoped for. read more

We sat for over an hour after ordering without receiving food (we received our mediocre starter, but then nothing for an hour). It was only after I wanted to leave and complained that the rest of our food was served. There was also a DJ playing super loud dance music to an empty "dance floor". It created an unpleasant environment to wait in. Initially, kind of funny, but then absolutely not. I will admit that the mains were actually tasty when finally delivered, and that the restaurant manager did comp our bill to make the bad situation right. This is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. That said, I can't bring myself to go back to this place anytime soon. Maybe in a year if it is still around. Maybe. read more
