Unfortunately, what was promoted as a tribute to one of the greatest vocalists of all time turned into one of the most disappointing entertainment experiences I have ever had at City Winery. We attended with the expectation of hearing talented vocalists perform Luther Vandross songs and, while we certainly understand that no one can ever duplicate Luther Vandross, we expected artists who could genuinely honor his music, vocals, and legacy. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The performers did not meet what we understood the event to be based on how it was promoted. The overall show was extremely disappointing, and at times the audience was clearly unhappy. There was booing and audible complaining from attendees, and many people, including us, ultimately left before the event was over. Ironically, the highlight of the entire experience was one of the backup singers, who did an outstanding job. Her talent stood out tremendously, which made the overall quality of the production even more disappointing. We were also disappointed with the food experience. We wanted to order something from the regular menu, but were told that only the brunch offerings were available. We felt essentially forced to purchase the brunch in order to participate in the experience, which was not what we anticipated when attending the event. This was my first truly negative experience at City Winery Atlanta, and I believe City Winery should take a serious look at what was presented to guests that day. When an event is promoted as a Luther Vandross tribute, there is a reasonable expectation that the artists, production, and overall experience will reflect the quality and legacy associated with that name. At this point, I believe attendees deserve consideration for a refund or meaningful reimbursement. We paid for an experience that, in our opinion, did not deliver what was advertised, and we were so disappointed that we left early. I hope City Winery Atlanta and Pure Soul will listen to the feedback from the people who were actually there. This wasn't simply a matter of having different musical preferences. The overall audience reaction made it clear that many people shared the same disappointment. I have enjoyed City Winery in the past, which is why this experience was particularly frustrating. I sincerely hope this is addressed so that future guests do not have a similar experience.

The flight comes in branded Vin ATL glasses and a cute wooden flight board that makes it easy to carry yourself. And if you like any of the 3, you can also opt for a full pour, which has the pricing listed next to it. My favorite was the Heaps Offshoot, a Blaufränkisch, which I've never tried before. Nearly all their wines are organically or sustainably farmed. I love that the menu also provides recommendations for how you can enjoy the wine - with what dish, chilled or room temp, etc. We will definitely be back, although maybe once the weather heats up a little bit, because this impending snowy weather in Atlanta is no joke! Although maybe it would be an even better idea to pick up a bottle of wine ASAP before the snowstorm hits!

I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am in this place. Any place that serves Shawarma usually get's an automatic 2 points alone just for this. I figured this place was right off of the beltline and this would be a nice little treat. They have a cute little patio near where you would order your food, So that's a plus to get some sun on your face while you are getting good food. Now the price, i got a couple of platters and 1 drink with a couple of cokes and $75 dollars. Yes you read that right it was $75 dollars. Now if I was at Rumi's Kitchen (yeah that's about right). but there you get huge portions, awesome food and with the leftovers for tomorrow you don't feel so bad when you spend the money. Here the food is only "adequate" and by the end of it you feel like "I could have spent this money in a much better way". Come back here? Nope, Recommend this place? Nope. On the positive, though, the food tasted good and the drinks were great. My wife loved the "slushie drink," and I had a really good whiskey sour. Compared to Tabla, another Indian restuarant only ~0.5mi walk from this one, the dishes in Blue india have a larger portion size, especially for their curry and biriyani. The naan was huge as well -- my peshwari was about 0.6lb! However, Tabla had more side dishes including tandoori vegetables, which made it more suitable for dining alone.
