Upscale yet casual Spanish tapas bar in Old Fourth Ward with a fun Latin vibe! Spicy Octopus is warm, delicious and the sauce is finger licking good with a nice kick! Nice photo decor wall in the entry area. Variety of cocktails and drinks to pick from. The shrimp (gambas al ajillo) are tasty and well seasoned! The order comes with four shrimp for $17. The snapper and coconut ceviche was unique and filling, not my favorite dish, though it's a local special. Beware, if you sit at the outdoor bar area, the seats are a bit uncomfortable (no cushion) and you will hear the music bumping! Tres leches have some extra ingredients that are not typical authentic. It includes cinnamon and peach marmalade on top, which distorts the flavor significantly from a traditional tres leches cake. Still good but different. Seafood paella is bomb, Large portion, takes about 20 minutes to come out!

I've been at this location 3 times, and each time has been so good. The decor is modern, sleek, and fun. I love the photo opp sight right at the door. The PAELLA!!! Hands down some of the most authentic I've ever had in Atlanta. Their menu is always delicious, and the drinks pair really well. I tend to try a new drink each time. Everything pretty much hits on their menu, so you'll never leave hungry. Our server on the last trip, Justice, was so attentive and nice! Very knowledgeable of the menu, had a great sense of humor, and took care of us. Highly recommend coming if you're in Midtown, or before you're about to see a show/play at the Fox theatre! Only 7 minutes away!

I like this place ! The area is nice ! They also validate parking as long as you eat there . They had entertainment that night the gutair playing with instrumentals you barely hear the musician but it's was a vibe ! The atmosphere was nice pleasant and aesthetically pleasing . We sat outside the waitress was very nice and fun so was the hostess! I wish I could remember their name cause they made the experience awesome ! It was a Friday night ! The food was good !!! I will definitely be back !!!! I need to try more food ! I had the empanadas and a salad I think I found my spot !!!!! My sister had steak

I continue to enjoy the great service and fine fare at Buena Vida. The sliced Rib Eye slathered with house made Chimichurri is always a must! The Duck Pot Pie with homemade crust is a great flavor for winter with ample pepper! I usually stick to a bottle of Spanish Tempranillo Or a pitcher of their White Sangria. The bar can be lively hosted by great bartenders like Spencer, Juan, Alissa or Chloe. I am here often and will continue to be here often.

Buena Vida is in an awesome location, right off the Beltline. The food here is a 3/5. Some stuff (paella) were above average and other stuff was just okay. I liked the tapas style of the menu though because we got to try a lot of different things. I got the spicy marg and it was quite spicy but sooo good. The staff here is super friendly and fun! Their patio is immaculate (5/5), which is why my rating is a 4/5. In my opinion, you shouldn't come here expecting a gourmet meal. This should be your spot for an app and drinks before dinner OR an awesome patio to have casual drinks/food when the weather is nice.

Came here on a Sunday for dinner with friends. Great location right on the beltline. Can definitely hop around to bars before or after. The vibe inside is cute. The service was good. Had the spicy marg which was well balanced. The croquets are quite nice. The paella was awesome! the empanadas were okay. The chicken were basically just flat chicken nuggies, I'd not get those next time. Overall it was a fine experience! I wouldn't be opposed to coming back. Was just a bit conflicting in my mind, felt more like a Mexican restaurant but the food was Spanish. ‍

One of our new favorite places! Almost forgot to take pics this was so delicious. This tapas bar has a great ambiance with a live saxophone player that was amazing to listen to, one of the best margaritas I've had in forever with a spicy Tajin rim (insanely good), and they're pet friendly and brought my dog a water bowl and the manager brought us an umbrella over our table, so nice. The tapas were amazing!!! We both were so impressed by the speed and quality of everything! We will be back many many more times, glad to have a fun tapas spot in the neighborhood!

The food was absolutely delightful, but what truly stole the show was the exceptional staff. Noel, the manager, went above and beyond, attending to every guest and making the evening unforgettable. Juan, the bartender, did more than just mix drinks; he made us feel heard, seen, and genuinely appreciated. The highlight was Nisa, the hostess--beautiful, kind, and endlessly supportive. Walking in, we felt like old friends or family, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us want to linger. It was the perfect celebration for my MIL's 65th birthday. I'm already looking forward to returning and experiencing their lively Wednesday night jazz.

From the moment I walked in, I felt transported. The energy here is unmatched--think Southern Spain meets Atlanta's Beltline, with a side of good music and even better food. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every single bite delivered. The Mahi Mahi Ceviche was fresh and zesty, and the Goat Cheese Fritters were crispy on the outside with the perfect creamy center. The Chimichurri Steak was tender and full of bold, herby flavor, and the Truffle-Agave Brussels Sprouts had the ideal balance of sweet, savory, and crispy. But the showstopper? The Seafood Paella--hands down the best paella we've ever had. Perfectly cooked rice, plenty of seafood, and so much depth of flavor. We wrapped it all up with the Tres Leches, which was light, dreamy, and the perfect sweet finish. The drinks were just as memorable--I had the Mango Batida, which was tropical, creamy, and refreshing, and their Espresso Martini was smooth with just the right kick. 10/10 on the cocktails! The staff was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well--they helped us make great choices and timed everything perfectly. The space is bright and beautiful, with a cozy patio that looks out on the Beltline and a stunning mural wall inside that makes for the perfect photo moment. Bonus: they host live music during brunch, which just adds to the fun, chill atmosphere. Pro tip: There's 2-hour validated parking in the deck nearby, which is a rare gem for this area! If you're looking for a spot with amazing vibes, flavorful tapas, and Instagram-worthy everything--Buena Vida is it. Can't wait to come back!

This place was so good! Definitely a fun spot for a celebration, to hang, out, and just overall good vibes. We got a table outside since the weather was nice and really enjoyed it. The food is tapas style, so you get to order a bunch of items and try them all! We got 5 dishes between the two of us and this was the perfect amount of food. We had one of the jamon, bay scallops, short rib, chimichurri steak, and brussels sprouts. Everything was spot on in terms of flavor, and I really enjoyed the brussels sprouts and chimichurri steak! Something about the glaze and toastiness of the sprouts was so perfect, and the cook on the steak was also spot on. I would highly recommend this spot! A great place to eat and service was also friendly and spectacular.

Stopped in to Buena Vida on a weekday for lunch. I was seated and served quickly and attentively. It is perfect for a quick lunch or seems like a great spot to grab drink and catch up anytime. The bar is super cute and the seating area has a great vibe to it. The food was AMAZING. I got a smash burger, salad, and brownie! Do not skip dessert!!! Can't wait to try more from the menu!

My friends and I came for brunch on a Sunday during my friend's bachelorette weekend in Atlanta. We were able to get a table pretty easily which was a little surprising for a group of 7 for brunch on a Sunday! Our server was amazing! He was so helpful and gave amazing suggestions for what we should order. He was also so accommodating whenever we asked for anything. Five stars for him! Since we were there for brunch we opted not to do tapas and instead all order mains. They were out of a couple of things when we were there. It ended up being totally fine especially as they were so accommodating about it. I got the Pimenton Chicken Breakfast Sandwich and we got a Churro French Toast for a sweet for the table to share. While I don't drink alcohol, the rest of the girls got a bottle of champagne for the table (a recommendation from our server!) and a couple of juices for some mimosas. They chose mango and lychee and all raved about how yummy the lychee one was. The breakfast sandwich was yummy. It was so tall that it's probably better to eat it with a fork and a knife. The churro French toast was great, but personally found it better as a little shared sweet treat rather than a whole meal since it was definitely on the sweeter side. The restaurant has such fun decorations. A great place to take pictures! Parking by Ponce City Market can be a little challenging with both paid street parking and garage parking. The parking garage attached to the restaurant is perfect since the restaurant validates free parking for a few hours. Definitely be sure to do that!

Absolutely amazing! I came here on Sunday morning for brunch and stayed for hours because the food, drinks, service, anatmosphere, and of course the fact that it's just a super cool, fun, chill spot to enjoy the company of good folks. Reservations can be made using OpenTable and there is parking available in the deck and it's validated for up to 2 hours. The space is super cute, colorful and so inviting. The staff are friendly and everyone I've come in contact has been amazing. During my last visit I had Pimenton chicken breakfast sandwich and I loved it. It came with eggs (fried but I asked for scramble which was an easy switch up) and the chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned soooo well with a jam that was just lovely. Oh and a side of breakfast potatoes came along with it and those were really good. While I've had their bottomless mimosa at past visits, I opted for the first kiss (alcohol free) drink and it was delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough and I know I'll be back soon and maybe I'll actually try coming from dinner service.

When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service. One thing I really loved was the photo booth outside in the parking garage--it was such a fun touch and made the visit even more memorable. The only downside was the parking. SUPER unimpressed with my visit here…read more Based on the decor, especially the photo area in the parking deck and the fake flower arch outside, my first impression was that this was going to be a "TikTok trap": a restaurant focused more on aesthetics than food or service. Unfortunately, that impression ended up being accurate. It took forever for our food to come out. The parties around us were clearly frustrated as well. I watched one table become visibly irritated, while another guest stopped a server to ask if the food being carried out was theirs because they had apparently been waiting over an hour. As the wait dragged on, I started paying closer attention to the decor, which I personally found tacky and gimmicky, especially the fake greenery hanging across the ceiling. The fried green tomatoes and sweet heat wings were really good, and I started to rethink my initial assessment of the restaurant. Everything went downhill from there. My "Rich Boy" sandwich itself was good, but it came with completely unseasoned fries. When I mentioned that I was supposed to have the "Rolex" fries, the server told me the plain fries were what I got. After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. Supposedly they were truffle fries, but there wasn't even a hint of truffle flavor. My partner ordered the veggie sausage, which was overcooked and dry. Their eggs came out over easy instead of over medium, and the "signature grits" were more like cream cheese with a little bit of grits mixed in. We were told more grits would be brought out, but they never came. Another person in my party ordered the Southern seafood pasta, which had literally one piece of spinach in it. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.
