Quesadilla Huarache de bistec. Topped with nopales
    Angel B.

Let me start by saying.. I am originally from Mexico City And it is really hard to find authentic (no food) but antojitos (garnachas) in this area or Dallas area where I am living at the moment. Well let me tell you. I'll be here every single time that we are in town. This huarache made me feel like I was home home. With a yummy (no fajita or asada) Stake on top of spicy but spacey goood green salsa and I topped it up with nopales (cactus). Just the way I liked back in the days. The tostada de pata was.... Mmmm. Just perfect that you need to try and also is something that you can not find in just any place. Amazing And just so you know and k am not kidding. I am coming back Tonight to get myself a big and delicious pambaso. And if I have some room left on my belly I'll get some gorditas or enchiladas de mole. Last but not least.. Grate, excellent service from the pols here. Very attentive and the place is small but very clean. OMG!! And pls try the aguas frescas I got guava and my lady got strawberry. Soooooo goooood. An apology if I hurt some feelings but way better than our experience at THAT Stakehouse from las night. Thanks Rincon Mexicano and pls don't change the quality of anything.

The place is really clean and nice, they are really welcoming too. The only downside I see is that when I ordered a huarache they didn't told me they had salsa on it and it was sooo spicy I couldn't even eat it. I ordered a carrot juice with orange and it was delicious!! My experience was good except for the salsa if you love salsa you are going to love the Huaraches here

    La Tejana Torta

My first time eating tortas here and it won't be the last one, I got a Tejana Torta and my husband got a pambazo and both were delicious and complementary they offer salsas and they are delicious as well, we even both the salsas to take them home. If you're looking for authentic Mexican tortas this is the place, you won't regret it. Enjoy

    Torta pobre

Pinches tortas pobres por eso le cambiaron el nombre antes eran la llardas antes si estaban buenas ahora quieren vender la carne de un taco en una torta y page 17 dollar por era especial

Very impressed the place is small but clean and you instantly feel Like your in a dive in Mexico. People are nice and attentive! The food was perfect just the right amount of everything!!!

SO MUCH FAT, MORE BEANS AND LETTICE THAN MEAT. There's only like 4 pieces of meat in there be serious.

It was so bad, I'm not the type to leave bad reviews ANYWHERE but this was so BAD.!!!! There was so much fat, the meat wasn't cooked right, didn't taste good, more lettuce that actual meat.!!! $35 FOR 3 FREAKING TORTAS. RIDICULOUS! Never going back, if I could give it 0 starts I would.

Excellent tacos !! Homemade tacos sauces were great. Service was good too. Better then average antojitos shop. Tortas look good too, will be back.

Not gonna lie, I found this little local spot with low standards. Man was I proved wrong. Great spot. Interior was decorated very nicely and was clean giving off a very authentic atmosphere. Great selection of food to choose from and everything was fresh. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I came out on Cinco de Mayo craving some Mexican food, of course on the special day, right? I was also craving a burger and didn't want an American one, though maybe it would have tasted a little bit better. Anyways, I came into the restaurant and wasn't greeted. It was one person sitting and eating his torta. I began to view the giant menu and especially the tortas. Note here: if you don't eat pork or prefer other meats than pork: this wouldn't be the best spot for you because most of the tortas have pork meat in it which was a disappointment for me. I asked the lady in the front if they had any tortas with just chicken or beef; and she wasn't able to assist me properly because she couldn't understand English or what I was saying. I was honestly just about to leave until I considered to give this restaurant a chance: I ended up ordering the La Dieta (Vegetarian) torta with no meat just cheese, avocado, tomatoes, no pickles, no mayo, no ketchup nor mustard, shredded lettuce, it also came with jalapenos and some red watery sauce. Now, there is definitely a language barrier issue here: I can understand if you are Hispanic and speak the language, but what about the others that don't speak the language? I mean, seriously there should be a regulation that businesses and restaurants should have at least one person who speaks the primary language of America which is English. It didn't take no time for them to bring out my meal: at about less than 5 mins my food was out. The meal just torta was $6. For $6, I was really hoping that this Mexican burger was to be filled with flavor and yumminess, instead it was beyond gross. The torta was soggy everything was mushed together; the white queso was hard and wouldn't melt when I warmed it in the microwave. (I had to re-warm it because it was lukewarm when they gave it to me) The tomato still had the middle part (where the stem would be) in it; they failed to cut that part off. The lettuce was very mushy and very gross; it looked like slop literally. It didn't seem like they took the time to prepare the torta. It was absolutely no flavor nor taste; very bland and that is pretty rare to me since its Mexican food which would normally be filled with flavor and spices. The bread didn't have a flavor either usually breads are soft and has a seasonings to it; this one nope not at all. I'm sure even if it was just veggie torta then it should not taste like that; I've had American burgers where it was turkey, black bean, or veggie burgers and wow they were good; but this one being Mexican and a burger--it failed big time. The service I can't get angry for because that lady spoke Spanish and I spoke English; I just wish she would at least learned the English language before moving or coming to Texas. Oh and lots of parking; it is next to the comedy club off of 45/S and Fuqua.

One of the best Mexican food, they have friendly people, tasty food

One of the best Mexican Food i have ever eat , fresh food, good service and we will definitely come back here

Found me a hot spot for that street tacos!!!! Had their pork and beef tacos. So good!!! Their homemade salsas is on fire!!! Literally!!! But it hurt so good!!! I'm definitely coming back here, again! It's not a fancy but the food is worth it! Friendly people.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

Ambiance: upon walking in, it was chaos and sooooo many people standing up and sitting down. Walking around with drinks. I felt like I was in a club. A server made her way to me to take my Togo order. While waiting, I grabbed a drink at the bar and just made the happy hour cut off. Service was great as I was able to get my order and it was a large order. Everything was correct. The house margarita was ok, I wish I had gotten the hibiscus flavor. Order; Crab Tostadas Mixed Fajitas Snapper Mole Enchilada Ninfa 2 Tacos Margarita Mix The only thing I would order again is the crab tostadas and the beef fajitas. The chicken had no flavor at all. The charros beans and rice were not anything special. I was not a fan of either. Overall, we are not planning to order from here again. It just wasn't what Mark Weins made it seem like on his review. Also, whoever the driver was practically could not wait for me to turn around. Sorry, I had to take a pic. Very rude.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I have never been to another restaurant that does so. Some even provide carmelized grilled onions gratis. I'm convinced that a $15. YUMMY mango margarita at Pappasitos would have given us the same buzz & tasted better than 8 happy hour margaritas here. I used to love the in house made flour tortillas at Teo. Tonight they were tough & uneventful. We arrived on a week night when they were not busy. Neither of the salsas were as good as they used to be.The water pitcher didn't even have ice when they refilled the water. I have absolutely no desire to return. Why would I?

The restaurant has an intimate indoor space and adjacent covered patio. Both were already full when we arrived which created a lively atmosphere. The inside was so tasteful - small but moody and warm! I'd definitely recommend a reservation for the weekends! We started with the aguachile de camaron as a starter and WOW my husband cannot stop talking about this dish. The perfect blend of textures and flavors - this will be a must for us every visit. We have had our eyes on the 5-course Chef Tasting Menu for $49 + the optional beverage pairing for $30. The experience felt more than fair for the price, especially by Houston standards. Each course felt thoughtful and slightly boundary-pushing, yet really approachable. My partner and I have been on a bit of a mole kick recently, so were very excited for the hanger steak with truffle mole. It absolutely delivered and would love to order this again! We were also heavily drawn to the tuna tartare starter, masa cornbread, and tres leches. The wine and drink parings were perfect and not too fruity. The brut rose was a perfect way to start and I always love a mezcal cocktail. I highly recommend anyone visiting to start with this Tasting Menu and leave the stress in the hands of Chef Adrian Torres! We had the pleasure of chatting with him briefly after our meal and were so impressed with his story and clear excitement he brings. The rest of the staff were equally kind and really added to the evening! It's definitely a smaller, cute neighborhood spot with a really fun vibe. The service was good. Our server was funny, attentive, and made the experience fun. We started with the "corn ribs" appetizer and WOW. Probably one of my favorite corn dishes I've had in a long time. So flavorful and addictive. We also got the "Tiradito de Hamachi" crudo, which was fresh and delicious! For the entree, my friend and I shared the tacos (which comes with your choice of 3). We added an extra taco to make it 4. I was genuinely shocked that the mushroom taco ended up being my favorite because I almost always prefer meat, but it was THAT good. The fried shrimp taco was also amazing. For dessert, we got the tres leches cake. I'm usually not a huge fan of strawberry or fruit toppings on desserts, but the cake itself was really, really good. I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful. Other than that though, the food and service absolutely made up for it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
