It is a small town dive bar filled with plenty of great people. The service is always good and the place is always clean. The food is nothing special, but we're not asking for that here. They normally close down pretty early except none of the regulars find that to be a problem. The right game is always on and the music is never too loud. This was a horrible experience.... First off, they don't tell you they put $100 hold on your credit card... they just expect you to read every sign they post up. Having been a bar owner myself, I would make sure my employees notified my customers of this bar tab rule. Secondly, this is a DIVE bar! Who puts $100 hold on dive bar customers?! And who charges over $9 for a middle of nowhere dive bar beer? This is laughable. The place is filthy and the service was wretched. If you go, buy a bottled beer and don't drink from their glassware. Also, don't bother ordering top shelf because I'm pretty sure the nail polish remover I drank was not the Kettle One I had asked for. VERY disappointed. read more

Haven't been here in 30 years. While home on a visit we ran up to Pala. On the way back I had to stop in and see if the place had changed. They had a great band playing. Service was a little slow but the people were all friendly. It was a Friday night and the place was full. Loved that they were celebrating 40 years. I used to come here for Karaoke back in the 90's. New to the San Diego area from the Bay Area. I love checking out new places, meeting new people, and finding hole in the wall dives bars (my guilty pleasure) - I checked out this establishment a few times. Initially it seemed pretty cool, a mix of older/younger alike. However, one of the bartenders is less than welcoming and unprofessional -- Melly. She began gossiping to the other bartender who was off the clock - this happened as soon as I stepped foot in the door. Talk about making customers uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend going here alone, as a woman. Some of the men are a bit strange and not very nice. It can feel very uncomfortable and unsafe which seems to be tolerated by staff. I was asked to leave I assume when I spoke up against the disrespect and harassment. Once I was asked to leave, I was determined to not let the weird vibes ruin my night. I visited the newest establishment that just opened up within the same parking lot and wowwwww! Such a better experience, everyone was chill, nice and respectful. I had laughs, good beer, better company. Andddddd they allowed me to step in as the DJ (THE REAL MVPS) I had a great time. As I was leaving the plaza's parking lot...I notice Melly began chasing towards my car, she was waving her hands/arms. Her behavior was extremely concerning and erratic. For some strange reason she was trying to take photos of me, my car, my license plate. It was truly a VERY STRANGE experience. Like I said... be warned. I wouldn't go alone...Unless of course, you're a really tough cookie! Then more power to you. If you go you definitely have to be a strong woman - now, not everything was awful and that my friends... is the beauty of life, INNIT?! There was an awesome bartender I had the pleasure of chatting with once. Her energy was top tier, she was freaking hilarious and she's stunning! This is a good dive bar on the 76 in Bonsall. It's always busy and the drink prices are very reasonable. They don't have any food but I do see the patrons having BBQs and stuff sometimes, don't think strangers are invited though. Actually I don't know because I've never asked. If you're going to the Bonsall post office and you're thirsty for an adult beverage I recommend stopping by. First timer discovering this cool divey bar! I had several hours to kill until my next tournament game nearby and this was the closest bar to the park. Shasta is a great and personable bartender, very professional, pretty, and hustles to get my drinks and all the others on a poppin Saturday afternoon rush. Lots of top premium liquor available. Stopped in here with a friend, on our way home from San Diego to Corona/ Riverside. Anyhow an accident 45minutes added to travel was enough to stop in to wait out the traffic. I called to ask of they had food because we were really super stoned and needed food....bad!. Unfortunately, they dint have food but said a Mexican joint was next door and wasnt bad. We got there had a beer and went and ordered food and OMG the food joint was bangin. Asada salad was the shit...nuther review...back to Ringers....very friendly!! We've been coming here for over 10'years now and have always loved this place and the atmosphere but lately seems every time we go there to play pool there is an issue with some disgruntled employees and a customer that causes so much trouble making it really difficult for anyone to just have fun. Exceeded my expectations.... I finally visited on a warm Sunday afternoon after a long drive. I'm not from the area, so it was the first place that popped up for a cold one. I pulled up to find a line of bikes outside. After taking a deep breath I walked in. I sat down and was immediately greeted with a smile by Kelly. She poured me a pitcher and went back to her larger party. This is the point (usually), where a bartender will just leave me alone until the pitcher is empty. I expected this because of the large crowd on the other side of the bar (Birthday Party) However, I have never been more wrong. She came back not too long after to see how I was doing. She also came up with a crafty way to keep my pitcher cold. You will have to see Kelly to find out more. It also turns out that they have a free BBQ for the customers on Sunday. Burgers, dogs, all the fixings were in a clean spread. There is a grill outside for you to cook your own meat. This is combined with the outside smoking area. A warm (free) hot dog, a VERY cold beer, and a friendly bartender. I ask the Yelp community, what more can you ask for? Sure it's not for everyone. But I will say that I was treated much better here as a stranger than other spots that had rave reviews. Entertainment: There is a Golden Tee game, and an electronic dart board. There is also a stage, but it was empty at the time. I assume there are bands that come or karaoke. I plan to visit again at night and update my review. BONUS: Someone started passing out pieces of Birthday cake. We were automatically included. While this doesn't have much to do with the establishment, it does show you that the regulars are friendly. That will teach me to judge a book by it's cover. read more
