Came in for a few drinks with a friend, got a couple beers and was introduced to a "Fireball". A Fireball is a shot that tastes and smells just like Goldschlager except it doesn't have the gold specks and it might be a bit stronger. Definitely give it a try if you haven't. Disappointed. Immature bartenders and unlikeable owners. They promote dance bands and I ask, why do that? There is no place to dance! Owners asked for patience that the dance floor will be back and even better! Yay! For a biker, Ringer's is a good stop or destination since there is a lot of good riding to get there. We usually stop there Sunday afternoons on our way back from Fallbrook, Palomar Mnt, Julian or Santa Ysabel areas. Right about when the free cook it yourself Sunday lunch of burgers, dogs, and brats is all but crumbs. You make it yourself so it's always the way you want it. It's good food and they are kind enough to offer it for free. By the time we get there, the staff is pretty beat from the day but are attentive and always at the least, cordial. We will continue to stop here and get a few road sodas and pick at the crumbs before our trek home. read more

Awful experience here. I went there for a drink at about 11 PM, and the bar turned out to be the worst that I have ever been to. An off-duty bartender was drinking there, clearly already blacked out, and was trying to fight everyone that he could. I realize that these things happen late night at bars, but what shocked me was that the bouncer was simply letting this happen, and would not kick him out. In addition, they kept serving him more drinks. Honestly it was utter chaos, and a place that I would never go to again. No other bar in the United States would stoop to that level. Ringers was a very pleasant surprise. I went there with friends on a Friday night and we were extremely entertained by the live music. This band had someone that could play the keyboard, flute and walked around the bar playing his sax. The clientele there was very friendly and even multiple folks knew how to "partner dance" to fun upbeat music. As far as it being a dive bar, well that is true, but as one other reviewer said, it's pretty good for a dive bar. I'd probably only go back as long as I knew there was some sort of live music on the schedule. A great option for those of us who live close by. read more

This place was a great experience. I found out it was under new management and had the opportunity to meet some of the regulars. What a great crew of people and opportunity to make new friends. The drinks were great and the regulars were so much fun to hang out with. This is probably going to be my new hang out. 3 of us ladies stopped in to check out the band. I hadn't been in 3 years and wanted to see if there had been any changes ( I had moved out of the area). The band that was playing RADIO 80,S was playing and they were amazing. A classic rock band that I will now start following. Anyhow, the young lady behind the bar was very nice, attentive, and welcoming. We were able to just sit there and enjoy the band without being hounded to purchase something. I have been a Ringers patron since 97, It's close and I known people for years It was my favorite dive bar Great Bands Great Karaoke Great Crowd. Nothing last forever . Still a great place for music but its not the same place and not in a good way It isn't the bartender, I go Sunday nights and Lisa is Great, That said a lot isn't great The Karaoke Host is surly and disinterested, is packed up and gone by 10:30 however because they have "Karaoke" the drinks have a 1 dollar added Entertainment Fee I get that but if the entertainment doesn't show or leaves early why must I pay more for my drink. If you pay an Entertainment fee There should be entertainment! I am not a germaphobic millennial but shouldn't a restroom have soap and towels or at least hand sanitizer? I can't speak for the Ladies room but there was no soap, no towels and the dispenser for sanitizer in the men's room was empty as was the one in the hall I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and they have been like that for the last three Sundays. I am told there is nothing anyone can do to change any of these things I have to comeback between 9 AM and 10 AM and speak to the manager... raise of hands how many of you can leave work to talk about bar problems at the managers convenience? One reason I really like this bar is because of the bartender Joanne. She is the most efficient, friendly and FAST bartender I've ever encountered. She's adorable--has a great sense of humor and consistently provides a high level of customer service. Joanne is also kind and always inquires how YOU are, rarely talks about herself, and is a good listener. Priceless and almost extinct attributes in a bartender nowadays! The other bartenders are good too and Judy is tops among them. Drinks are reasonably priced and there are live music bands every Friday and Saturday night. There is a shaded front porch/patio area for smokers and many people (non smokers) opt to hang out there during the day because it features a colorful collection of friendly regulars and lively conversation. Every Sunday, the owner provides complimentary hotdogs and hamburgers and assorted salads for customers who serve themselves and grill their meat on the bbq located outside. Lots of bikers come in on Sunday for a cold beer and a dog or a burger. It's a fun time in a safe environment with a widely mixed crowd from 20s to late 70s. Decent place to watch football, but tvs could be a bit bigger and more strategically located. Everyone is welcome at Ringers. Potential troublemakers are immediately "handled" by bar backs Bussey and Dale Dude--who are unique characters unto themselves. I believe many women come here because they know they will be safe, myself included. Overall, Ringers is the best and cleanest "dive bar" in North County, which is why it's such a popular destination. read more

Was just in this friendly locals bar and the bartender Shawn was to worried about his draft picks and talking to a lady than paying attention to his responsibilities as a bartender. I tried multiple times to get his attention waving my hands and making noises he still focused on his conversation with this lady. Horrible horrible service! I like how the lady answered the phone with a raspy cigarette voice with ZERO customer service thus giving it that dive vibe ooohhhh so nostalgic lol and then the guy in the background sounded like he was yelling directly into the phone but he was in fact in the background. But he said it was 'effing hotter than balls' hahahaha but seriously this bar sucks says a resident since 2006 and i have not one good night there unless i was with someone that was fun even while doing nothing. We could have done nothing and had fun. Waste of money. The 5 star reviews are from people who know the locals /work there or their friend bartends. thats the only time its enjoyable. I remember being treated like shit just because i was prettier than the bartender. Sounds unrealistic but if you were a woman you'd know that actually happens to us pretty ladies. Bands are usually pretty good, the usual crowd is an interesting mix (country meets bikers mixing with suburbanites) and usually harmless, but it's 5 minutes from the house and if we had to we could crawl home. Ringers is and always has been biker friendly, including patched bikers. As long as you can keep in mind that you have walked into OUR house, not YOUR clubhouse! And that the general public doesnt know your clubs rules and certainly dont have to abide by them. You dont like the customers there? then leave. you dont get to kick all their asses. As far as i can remember i have never "hollered" at anyone for making a hamburger. I have, however, had to ask the same clubs repeatedly to not guard the doors, just doing my job! Some of them that i have asked, just plain old disrespect me and do it anyway, that when youre not gonna get served. There's no guarding the doors allowed by patched clubs. THEMS THE RULES so quit fuckin crying like a little bitch. you dont like it, dont come!! As for "the locals", we call them "regulars" and they pretty much pay the bills!! they dont deserve to get hit for looking at someone "the wrong way". so, if you're THAT kind of biker: RIDE ON BY, if not come on in and have a good time, great music, great people, great times!!
