Very confused why I haven't written a post about Dianna! I've always had trouble finding a place to go to for my hair. Since I've found Dianna two years ago, she has been my go-to. I adore her so much!! Parking has never been a problem. Her studio is always so clean and cute. She always gives me her honest opinion when I ask for something crazy like bangs. My hair is the healthiest it's ever been. She's always down to talk or not, whatever you are comfortable with. I've always felt awkward making conversation with people working on me for hair, nails, etc but with D, it's like chit chatting with a bestie. She always responds so fast via text (unless she's working of course). Covid procedures: I had my worries with Covid cause Covid but I was completely safe with her. She checked my temperature before walking in. She has a solo studio room space so I don't have to worry about other folks. When I walked in, everything was clean. Even after using the pen to sign a questionnaire, she put it in a "soiled" container. My robe came out of a single plastic bag. She taped a face mask on my face so she could color my hair. She kept her mask on the entire time she did my hair. There were hand sanitizers everywhere! I couldn't feel more safe. She doesn't mess around! Dianna has become such a constant in my life for my hair and I live through her stories! I love her so much I always look forward to my appointments with her. So I got referred here by a friend who said that she did miracles with hair. I was a little skeptical given the fact that there were just a few reviews, they were all positive, and all of them came from women. But against my skepticism, I decided to give Rinse a try since I've already tried everything from barbers to expensive stylists and I just couldn't get anyone to cut my hair in a way that left me happy. Well ... had hair done with her a while ago. Love it. She permed my hair and I really really like to go back and get more service. I'm a busy mother of 2 toddlers and I got things mixed up something. I mixed up her appointment one time, so I didn't show up to appointment. I know it was my fault and I texted her to apologize. I've been trying to reach her for appointment but she has been ignoring my text messages. I guess she has a right to choose the customer since I made a mistake not showing up at the appointment ONCE. Diana is amazing! I have a ton of hair and it's thick and wavy and I have always had a hard time finding a stylist to make my hair look good. I always seem to walk away with triangle head--until I found RINSE and met Diana. She does an amazing job and never tries to up sell you anything or suggest services you don't need. In terms of COVID safety, she is doing a great job to keep her clients safe. I have asthma and have been very careful and limited about where I go. I only go to limited places where I feel safe and where I know they are doing an excellent job of sanitizing. And Dianna by far fits that bill. There are people who need a colorist who can do highlights or lowlights or babylights or balayage or that gray/silver trend that was happening for a while. Or all of them. Dianna can do all of that stuff. Me? I want the most basic, single process color. My dark brown hair grows super fast. It's going gray. I want my hair just as it was when I was a younger: brown from root to tip. That's it. It sounds simple, but finding someone who could get my color just right made me feel like I was chasing rainbows. Then I started seeing Dianna. She does an amazing job, and it's perfect every time. (I still marvel at her incredible talent every four weeks, even though I have been seeing Dianna for many years.) While I have basic color tastes, I do like to switch up my cuts. I have wavy hair that has been cut in a super short pixie or grown out to halfway down my back. Whatever I am feeling, Dianna can deliver. Sometimes I don't even know what I want. I just tell Dianna my mood or that I need a change, and she gives me the haircut I didn't know I needed. Sometimes she cuts my hair so well that I go several color appointments (or more) without even a trim. When I finally get another haircut because I get bored (not because I need it), I am once again blown away by her skills. I really love my hair! On top of that, Dianna is a good and generous person. She's also hilarious, and I love our colorful conversations. If you need advice or tough love, she's definitely stellar in both departments. But sometimes we just swap ghost stories. I would follow her to the moon if that's where she went next... she's that fabulous! This time around I had my hair balayage/free hand painted blonde, but before my appointment, Dianna had spent hours creating an amazing red/orange/yellow color blend on her previous client. This review is overdue I know. I started going to Dianna when she worked at Brenton Lee salon and it was an amazing decision. My brother was actually the one to refer me to her, he had been seeing her for a while as well. My hair was growing out after getting a not so awesome short hair cut back in my hometown in Oregon. The back of my hair looked like it had a "U" shape to it and not in a good way. Dianna fixed that awful grow out and I left her feeling amazing. Ever since then she has been the only person I will allow to touch my hair. I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair. The kind of hair, when cut wrong looks like a mushroom. Flat on the top and super wide on the bottom. Not attractive with the wrong cut. Dianna knows exactly how to work with my hair and I have loved everything she has done with it. I feel completely safe asking her about products I should use in my hair, what brands she thinks would work best, what products I actually need etc. I have never once felt pressured by her to buy any product that she sells and I trust her input completely. I absolutely love going to Dianna not only because she is an excellent hair stylist, but because she is an amazing person. She is beyond nice, funny, and an all around good person who truly cares about her clients and what is going on in their lives. Diana can never retire unless she agrees to continue to do my hair. I have straight hair that is on the finer side and I prefer a natural looking color. This sounds easy but it is not and I have a lifetime of bad haircuts prior to finding Diana. Diana is able to blend/weave different highlights into my color that make it look natural but also it's best. The way she colors my hair allows it to grow out in a pretty way. I have never had an "I can't go outside without a hat" day in between our appointments (mine are every 8 weeks). During the summer I have hints of gold and during the fall she adds in redder tones. It is absolutely beautiful. She is honest about what works for my hair, my face shape, my commitment to daily styling and maintenance. Her salon is clean and has the best energy. My hair has looked amazing for YEARS, and it's all thanks to Dianna. I have followed her to two different salons and will always trust her with my hair, no matter what my style requests. My first yelp review for her was written in 7/28/2010 and it so perfectly reflects the care and quality of her craft. I still receive the same wonderful service EVERY TIME. Here's my 2010 review!! (Throw back!) ---------------- My hair looks so freaking fantastic and it's all thanks to Dianna. After a glowing recommendation from my friend's wife (who has a great short style), I called up the loft and scheduled an appointment ASAP with Dianna. The Process: * When I first sat down we talked about what I was looking for and she totally understood * She walked me through what she would do, and how I would need to care for my style to maintain the look I was after (I think she sensed my fear of hair products) * Then she had me change into a nice, clean silk robe on top (I don't go to salons a lot so this step always makes me feel fancy!) * She washed my hair (gently!) and gave me a scalp massage (that was wonderful!) * Next we went back to her chair and she gave my wet hair a few sprays of unite Volumizing Spray (after showing me the bottle and explaining what is was for) * She did most of the cut while my hair was wet; then blow dried it about 80% and styled it using a round brush then a flat iron; then finished the cut/style layers and framing * She brushed off my neck and finished the style with unite Finishing Wax Spray (again showed me the bottle and explained) I was so happy with my style, I gave her a big hug and can't thank her enough. (I think this is even my first Yelp review!) Dianna was amazing! She understood right away what I was looking for. Dianna is The BEST stylist I've ever had, and a total PRO. Like other reviewers, I have followed Dianna from two other hair salons because I refuse to have anyone else do my hair. Dianna is that good. I have a precise angled bob and she keeps it perfect. I'm EXTREMELY persnickety (annoyingly so), but Dianna is able to handle it with complete ease. Dianna always makes sure that I am happy with my cut, listens to what I want and does just that. In contrast to my past stylists, I never leave upset with a too short of a haircut that I have to wait weeks to grow out. She also uses Schwartzkopf dye which is one of the best and gentle to hair. I live over an hour and a half from Glendale, depending on traffic. I have been with my local hairdresser for 11 years. I gave Rinse Hair Studio a try because it is novel. Unique. A personal, one on one experience, instead of a bustling and noisy salon atmosphere. I was not disappointed. Dianna is professional (and makes great coffee). She is knowledgeable and educated beyond her years. I trusted in her professionalism and instinct. I tried a slightly new style (a first for me in many years) and I was more than pleasantly surprised... I was happy. I was relieved when I would style my hair every day. I've started going to her recently and I regret I haven't gone to her sooner, this girl does wondersss, I tell ya! My first appointment with her, I didn't make it easy on her, I came in with a really screwed up dye job from a previous hairstylist, it was seriously a nightmare with uneven colors, horrific roots, and just a hot ass mess in general. What I love most about Dianna's cuts are that are easy to maintain and they grow out so nicely.
