Came in on the weekend with my 2 year old daughter for some refreshing cuts by the owner, Brandon. I'm never disappointed! It was my daughters first hair cut, and she sat on my lap. I have Brandon a little guiding idea for a drastic asymmetrical cut and then he worked his magic. It's been a few days and each day I'm loving this cut more and more. Kristy is the best. She is easy going, lovely, and really non judgmental. I know that sounds weird but I hate when hair dressers try to shame clients into coming in more often by saying that it's been too long and now the hair is all split ends, or had a hairdresser laugh at me when I said I don't use salon bought shampoo and just buy my shampoo from regular stores. Anyway, Kristy knew I wanted fun and colorful hair but I couldn't afford a full bleach and color so she talked over options with me in my price point. I couldn't have been happier! I have curly hair and Allison did such an amazing job. all my other haircuts before this the stylist didn't know how to shape my hair or work with it and I always left disappointed. And the "curly hair specialists" are like $300 for just a consult, so i had basically given up on getting a haircut that felt good on me and also learning how to actually style it. Kristy is amazing!!! I went to her randomly (was looking for any reputable stylist with availability in the greater LA area) as an emergency after a different salon fried my hair. She was extremely attentive, empathetic, and kind. We had to chop off all my hair due to the extent of the damage but the cut she left me with was exactly what I wanted, I keep getting compliments. Additionally, she deep conditioned my hair for free to see if it could help save more of my hair. She also gave me the courage to advocate for myself at the other salon that destroyed my hair. Edit: I was able to get in contact with the owner, and they were understanding and willing to work with me. I was able to get a partial refund on my cut. Because they were accommodating and easy to work with, I changed my review score. I want to start off by saying that my stylist was extremely nice. Aside from how nice she was, I am really disappointed with my haircut. We talked about what sort of style I wanted (a sort of shag haircut), and looked at pictures. I thought there was a mutual agreement on what she was going to do. In the end I got one of the most basic long bob haircuts. No face framing in the slightest. I spent $100 plus a tip on a trim and some really long layers. I have social anxiety, and didn't know how to necessarily tell her that I was not liking it, and I tipped out of courtesy. I feel like I was kind of burned on that price for what I got. I would have preferred to email the salon about this, but couldn't find a way to directly contact the owner. read more

It was my first time here and found this place based on recommendations on Google and Yelp. So glad I tried them out. I have very thick, frizzy and full hair which means only an expert can really pull off a good haircut or I'll end up looking like a Merino sheep!!! David did his magic. He is GREAT!!! He is personable, friendly and a good hearted person. He also did a great job with the bob haircut I'd asked for. Their pieces are also reasonable and affordable for a good haircut in LA. They never once offered me a resolution. They never said sorry. All I heard from them is how they're not responsible for their stylists because they are independent contractors. I'm sure there are great stylists at this place, just make sure you do your research well before getting your hair done here because if anything goes wrong, you'll be left with bad hair and the owner doesn't seem to offer any help with these situations. read more

Nicole is the best! First time at the salon and she helped me figure out what to do with the massive amount of dense hair I had on my head. She was extremely friendly, down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Within five minutes we found out we owned the same kind of dog (terrier chihuahua) and they both had the same name (Buster). The cut only went uphill from there. Nicole is also a painter specializing in hyper-realistic portrait art, so when I showed her a picture of the kind of cut I wanted online she was able to recreate it perfectly on my head. She took time to show me everything she was doing to cut and style so I'd remember for next time, and suggested using a straight razor to help thin out the denser parts of my hair. Nicole solved about a decade of my hair care stress in an hour. I will 100% be coming back to get another cut (and will bring more dog pictures!). read more
