The powerhouse Açaí bowl is my favorite bowl option, however they offer various options that are very similar and are certainly fulfilling for your sweet spot and are also a great choice for a midday snack or evening meal. It's safe to say I'm obsessed. Seeing as I came back for this acai smoothie just two weeks later, it's evident that I'm a huge fan. Friendly and fast service as usual! It wasn't too busy, but this time I sat more towards the back of the store. I noticed that the bottom of the chairs are sagging. Though it doesn't impact the cool atmosphere of Rio, I couldn't unsee what has been seen. They have the best açaí! From the consistency down to the flavor, it is so addicting, I could eat it all day. My favorite bowl is the Powerhouse with both peanut butter and protein powder. Their granola stays crunchy, fruits are fresh, and boom....I'm in healthy heaven! I also love their Spicy Poke bowl. Their tuna is perfectly seasoned and is just the right temperature. Nothing sucks more than room temperature tuna which gives off that fishy smell/taste. Trust me, I've been to some places that make poke off-putting. They put it all together with sliced onions, spicy mayo, ponzu sauce, and top it off with toasted seaweed and sesame seeds. Yum! The gal who helped me today was also very nice and packaged my order so nicely. Parking is much easier to find at this location than the downtown store. Super happy with this find. I've never had an Açai bowl before, but have heard others rave about It. I decided to finally try it for myself. I got the dragon fruit bowl, which contains banana, strawberry, blueberry, granola, other seeds and nuts. I asked my boyfriend is he wanted a bowl and he shook his head so I just purchased one for myself. I let him try mine and he took it from me! Ate the whole thing and asked me to order two more for him afterwards. He generally likes fruits, but does not eat enough, so I was so happy to see he loves Açaí bowls! We ended up going back 30 minutes later for three more bowls :) I also ordered their kimchi poke. If you like spicy food, I would go with the spicy poke instead. Kimchi poke is basically Regular Ahi tuna with a layer of decent tasting kimchi. I think the spicy tuna bowl should be much more spicy. Overall I was happy with their poke but wanted more kick! I tried their smoothie... it just wasn't as impressive as their Açaí Bowls. Maybe it's cause I can make smoothies easily, but it really did taste like any old smoothie I make at home. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place and the quality of food items they serve. I used to drive from Delano at least once a week to get the best açaí bowl in Kern county. COVID hit and I had to give up one of my favorite indulgences. I excitedly made my way over three times in the past couple of weeks. I always get the paleo, it has tons of good stuff, but the almond butter mixed with the banana is my favorite. Staff is on top of their game, fast and welcoming. I usually like coming to this place, but the past few times haven't been very satisfactory. There was only one worker and she got both of my acai bowls wrong. Not only did she get my bowls wrong but she was talking to her friend (another customer) the whole time while I was placing my order. Time for me to make a confession. I am addicted to Rio Acai Bowls!! I knew that I was going to have a problem when they opened this location over a year ago. They are closer to home, and both my wife & I cannot get enough of them. We are Dewar's fans, but we prefer going to Rio Acai Bowls instead nowadays. So why do I like Rio Acai Bowls so much? Because their Acai base is so divinely delicious!! Their Acai sorbet is better than ice cream!! It is also much healthier too. The Paleo, Powerhouse, and Rio bowls are my favorites. They allow substitutions of the ingredients so we both end up customizing our bowls often. Some of my favorite ingredients that I like to mix and match include strawberries, blueberries, bananas, granola, and almond butter!! Everything tastes fresh and absolutely yummy!! Once in awhile, I will change it up and get a Poke bowl. They make them pretty darn good as well. Personally, we enjoy eating our bowls at their place. There is plenty of seating, and the place is immaculately clean. Staff is terrific, and they have free WiFi. Great place to hangout, eat healthy, and chillax!! This was my first time at this location and I received the same wonderful service as i did on the one on Chester St. At the other location I had tried the Acaí bowl so this time I went for the Hawaiian Poke Bowl.
