There is Damage to my car. Many scratches & marking on the side and back from car wash. This is a brand new dodge charger 2021 & now I have a lot of scratches. I Will not recommend coming here. WILL CAUSE DAMAGE. This car wash ripped my back bumper off along with a tail light, causing well over $1000 in damage. Like other similar instances people have had with them, they are not taking any responsibility, and claiming I had "preexisting damage" that caused the machines to rip the entire bumper off, which was not the case. I was stuck in their wash cycle on Sunday December 12,2021 which caused damage to my new SUV!!! An order for me to get out of it I had a hug my heart several times before the cars moved!!! There is not enough attendants to guide the traffic out when the lit is full.. I reported the issues to the attendant and she gave me the information for the owner to contact me who never called me back. The worst customer service. The manager is rude and dismissive. The car wash never works properly and the vacuums have the worst suction. I've been a member for years and always used this location because it was close to my home. I never complained because I thought "what to you expect" until I visited the one on Broad Street. Totally different! Staff was friendly and helpful, my car was close to much cleaner and the vacuum picked up every crumb, grass or gravel. So I've decided not to visit this location again. NO stars So I took my Altima to Rio on Midlothian Turnpike. I purchased the 8 dollar package. Upon entering the car wash it was two attendants that was directing me to turn my wheel upon getting on the track. One was telling me to go one way as the other was telling me to go another. After being told to put my car in neutral the attendant made a face but I didn't pay any attention. To my surprise I get out of my car to vacuum it and a piece of my hub cap is missing. I go inside to speak to an attendant and was told I would have to file a claim and that someone should get back in touch with me within 48 hrs . If not I should call to check the status of my claim. As I went out to vacuum my car I noticed some scratches on my vehicle. I contacted my insurance company to file a claim. I have an adjuster coming out to take a look at my vehicle. The vacuums are a piece of ish at this place it's pointless to even use them. I also still had dirt on my car. I requested my money back for using the car wash and it not cleaning my car correctly but I was told if they give me my 8 dollars back they may not replace my hub cap. Wtf !!! Word to the wise don't go here wash your car yourself Update: My steering wheel has been shaking uncontrollably when I go over 50-55 mph. I called And spoke to Daniel and Ricky at Rio about this issue. All they said they could do was add this information to my complaint. My car is damaged. I took my car in 2 nights ago (so 2/18/20). The car wash itself was pretty short and underwhelming and didnt really do a good job in the first place. Yesterday, i noticed the metal frame thing on my back passenger side door is missing and it'd hardly been driven since i took the car in. I've been trying to call the store but they dont pick up and the voice mail is full. I expect some form of compensation if I can ever actually contact these guys. There are so many big things that are carried out very poorly at this location. It pains me to only give three stars because I firmly believe that fixes to the following could VASTLY improve this business. 1) are the arms of the employees tired that are ushering cars into the wash itself? Because I have never seen people wave their arms so hurriedly. Is this a life or death matter? No. They roll their eyes if you are not within six inches of the car in front of you. Relax. You claim to recycle the water, no? 2) the vacuums.... Oh my god these vacuums. They're not great. These could stand to be updated. They'll suck up SOME things but numerous car washes in the area have higher quality machines. 3) their customer service is not helpful. I tried calling four times to speak with a manager concerning an experience I had... No answer EVER. How can a current company in this day and age be run like this? 4) their trashcans near the vacuums are always overflowing. I purchased the manager's special unlimited wash plan. I use it almost daily. The quality of each wash varies each time. The amount of soap and other materials applied was inconsistent with each wash. The buff apparatus is inconsistent, sometimes not even touching the car. And to top it off the dryer blows my rear window wiper off the glass so I have to get out of my car to put it back in place. Location should say Midlothian VA. Not San Francisco CA. read more

I have been using Rio for several years, when Rio was purchased in August the quality of the service slowly declined. I have to Unlimited passes and visit weekly, between this brush not working and the overhead brush being out of service I end up drying the whole car myself. i have spoke to the manager on duty and emailed GOCARWASH and get canned answers each time. I've been using this car wash for two years now and it doesnt fail, so without further delay, here is my review: The Good: Prices- The cheapest option (which is what 95% of customers pick) for a car wash is the $3 car wash. You pay your money at the gate and go through the wash like so. There are options for other washes as well as car detailing, but if your handy like myself, you can do the detailing on your own. Free Vacuum after car wash- In the past, I have been to car washes that charge customers $1 per minute to vacuum out the car. Well this car wash allows customers to park their car in a parking space and use a vacuum that is specifically allocated for that space. No having to wait to share a vacuum because there are about 40 spaces. There is also a trash can that is shared between every two spaces so people can clean their cars and dump out the excessive junk. The Bad: Quality of work- If you select the $3 car wash, you will get what you pay for. It doesnt do a spectacular job, but it does good enough to remove the basic dirt and grime. Crowds- If you go as soon as they open or during rush hour, expect to wait upwards to 15 minutes for the car wash. Its a cheap wash so people will flock to it whenever they have the free time. To avoid the crowds, just go at a random time, like 10:39am. Overall, I would rate it 5 stars if the $3 car wash did the same things as a $11 car wash from Exxon, but hey, its still a good bargain. No Stars, Got a new car, after a week of use decided to have it wash, used Rio Car Wash. As I got to the tunnel I asked one of the employees if the car needs to be in neutral and not to touch anything. Got a positive confirmation on it. As soon my car gets to the lights I felt like if I had crash in to something, I thought "no big deal, this must be normal since I'm relying on the car wash automatic chain that controls your car wile in the tunnel for you. As soon I got to the vacuum cleaners I noticed that my back top brake light it's gone, I have a long ding on the roof. Front bumper damages. They saying it's the driver fault, my question how ? Visited the Rio Car Wash on Midlothian Turnpike. My passenger side mirror was broken during the wash. Spoke with the manager and filled out the claim form. Received an email with a picture of a sign out front that states Rio Car Wash in not liable for cars that are more 10 years old and a letter from the management indicating that Rio Car Wash is not liable. My vehicle is a 2003. Total cost for damage will cost me over $500.00. Will never use RIO car wash again. read more

I figured I would give the Midlothian Rio a second chance but after being accused of running into another car in the wash today by an employee and having video proof I was in neutral the whole time (yes, this is the second time the wash has pushed me into someone else at this location) it is clear I will not be going back to the Midlothian location. The last time it happened, an employee told me that sometimes lighter cars have a tendency to be pushed harder, while I see how, it is unacceptable for an employee to come up accusing a person of something they did not do when all I did was show up to have a car wash while following the directions of the loading personnel. Apparently I'm the only one due to another review below having a front and back collision. Highly unsatisfied with the service and treatment and do not recommend this location. read more

Excited about being able to participate in the monthly plan. They have a free bug/tire detail station where they have buckets with super watered down cleaner and often dirty tire brushes to pre-clean your tires and scrub off any bird doodoo before you go through the wash, but this is a neat feature that is absent of many drive thru car wash joints. They have 4 different car washes that you can purchase and I've purchased all of them. My favorite though is the Shine one. You get a nice application of wax and all that stuff and i get more compliments on how the car looks after this wash than the others (one of which is more expensive). You also get to vacuum your vehicle for free after you exit the wash. read more

After the demons time, all I heard were excuses about why it was the vehicles fault, and how accessories on the car kept the brushes from getting it clean. This car wash damaged my car. I have a brand new car that I just bought a month prior to going to the car wash. After completing the car wash I got out immediately and noticed a huge nick on the hood of the car that was not there prior to entering the wash. It looks like one of those cloth things came down and whacked my hood with a rock stuck to it or something. I immediately went to the manager who had me complete a claim, which two days later was denied via a form letter. I also tried to go through the BBB, and they denied responsibility to them as well. It cost $330 to repair the damage to my car and this business refuses to accept responsibility. Do not use this car wash unless you have hundreds of dollars that you want to just throw away. I pay 20$ per month as a member. 75% of the time, I don't get the proper wash, even when I point out to the attendant that I have a decal on my window indicating that I am a member and should receive the best wash. Also, every time I go through, something bends my front license plate and has actually cracked the frame. Vacuums are decent though. Of course they blamed it on prior damged but the video from the carwash clearly shows my car entering with the molding there! I sometimes use the RIO Car Wash on Hull Street (at Genito Rd) and it is not bad for three bucks. It is nice that they have a "bucket and brush" for cleaning wheels, brake dust, etc., etc. - before you run your car through the wash. Nothing is uglier than a clean car with black, dirty rims! The free vacuums are also a nice touch, but it gets to be a pain when cars are on both sides of you. The spaces are not quite wide enough if you have a pickup truck or two-dooor car. Quite often, one or more of the vacuums don't work - so the guy next to you may have taken "yours" because his was broken. Grrr!! It is a great deal for the price, but bear in mind that it is not a 'full service' wash and their dryer does not work all that well. Bring a chamois with you and you should be fine. read more

I only gave a three star because they aren't like they were when first opened. The cars don't get as clean as they did when company first opened. It had a better cleaning technique when the car was was $3. Now it went up in price and the service isn't the same. Vacuum cleaners are constantly building up and not really consuming anything. The tire shine only hits one half of the tire never the entire tire. The dryer doesn't really dry all that well anymore. If things were as before I'd gladly give another rating of 5stars. read more

Broke part of luggage rack off and denied claim even though I had just been through the same car wash 2 days earlier with no problem. I think their standard is to deny every claim. They said the part must have already been loose. Hmmm, it wasn't loose 2 days ago and we had not had bad weather, etc. Don't use them, they leave soap residue on car, one time didn't even do the undercarriage wash, etc. The manager offered many free car washes if I didn't file a claim . . . . I'm sure he knew they wouldn't honor the claim. So am I supposed to take free car washes and go have more things ripped off the car? read more

I have the new subscription they offer and I love it!! I was out today and randomly just had my car washed just because it rained the past couple of days.
