Stopped in for dinner. Place was a little busy. Grabbed a seat at the bar & was greeted. Ordered some drinks and food. I had chicken tacos with rice and beans. Chips & salsa were dropped of while we waited for our order. The salsa has good flavor and not overly hot. Food arrived and the tacos tasted good. You can tell if it's a good place if they can do a flavorful chicken taco. As the night went on the place started filling up. Another good sign as this was a Thursday night. So from this SoCal guy that knows good Mexican food I say give this place a try. read more

Popped in here for lunch on a road trip and had the chicken fajita quesadilla. It was really tasty, could have used a bit more cheese but the meat and veggies were grilled perfectly. Margaritas, even the Top Shelf that I ordered, were painfully sweet and I had to order another shot of tequila just to be able to drink it. The server did not know the difference between reposado and añejo and brought the wrong tequila. Service was attentive and speedy even given being open during the Folk Life Festival but the food was just... missing the mark. Kid's food was over cooked and my husband's food was pretty flavorless and dry. Unfortunate. Corn tortillas were mushy so the shrimp tacos could not be picked up. read more

Thursday is $3.00 margaritas all day. The chips are excellent, but ask for the salsa picante if you want to kick it up a couple of notches. I ordered the mixed fajita plater. My hubby ordered a cheese enchilada and crispy chicken taco. My fajitas were over the top! My only complaint is that it only came with 2 tortillas. The serving is worthy of at least 4. Who would have thought that Hannibal,Mo would have a good choice for Mexican food. Great Job!! read more

The portions were large and tasty. The service was good and prompt. The view of the Mississippi River from downstairs was... non-existent. It is dark inside so be aware that anyone telling you that you can see the mighty Mississippi while you eat isn't truthful. But the Mexican-style food tasted authentic and was welcome. AVOID AVOID AVOID! I'm a Marine veteran with a service dog for PTSD. They refused to serve me b/c they said one of their workers is allergic to dogs. Allergies and fear of dogs is not a valid reason for denying access or refusing service to people using service animals under ADA. Accommodations should of been made! The place is big enough, and they have extra room, to seat a person w/ service dog to not interfere with someones allergies! If you're allergic, don't wait on me! Another waitress could of done it! When I called them, I was hung up on several times and was not allowed to speak to a manager. read more

Ordered food to go. Cold, and no utensils. The cheese enchilada was pre-made, the bean enchilada tasted like Italian seasoning. A "3" overall because the fried ice cream was great. Not a place for a date or family celebration. Prices are low and you are getting what you pay for. read more

We were just passing through on a cold winter non-touristy night. Most restaurants were closed, but a local happy hour bartender told us that this place was really good. She was not telling a lie! The place is very nice inside, spacious and clean and charming Mexican decor. Friendly and attentive service. And a full bar with great margaritas- with 6 sizes to choose from!!! My wife had a great enchilada plate, and I enjoyed a truly perfect and memorable carnitas (shredded pork) dish. Every bite was really perfect. It has been two weeks and we still talk about this restaurant. And the prices were very reasonable (low to us) for the quality of food and margaritas. Our waiter told us they have been open about 8 months so this is the reason for the lack of Yelp reviews. There were a lot of to-go orders flying out the door so it appears the citizens of Hannibal have discovered this gem of a restaurant! This will be a definite stop on our next road trip to and through Hannibal. Congratulations to the restaurant management and the great staff of this restaurant. Best of luck. read more

Food & Margaritas were great! The Ambience was really nice right next to the Mississippi River, behind the levy. It was my 1st time in Hannibal, I was pleasantly surprised how much bigger the town was. & all the History it had with Mark Twain being a resident there. read more

We were going to a different restaurant for lunch but it was closed. Kind of stumbled across Rio Grande and decided hey it's Taco Tuesday why not try it. OMG! Great ambience. Wonderful staff.
