I have been tanning at Body Heat Tanning for years on and off usually in the summer , never had a problem until this year, I paid for my membership and have been using the beds for the last few weeks ( level 4 beds) and I have to say that I would than much quicker spending 10 to 15 minutes on my backyard. All the beds are getting super weak, I don't think they are changing the bulbs as they should( they say they are but they don't ), I called and asked to pro rate a refund and they keep apologizing and nothing can be done. I followed all the suggestions they gave me , changed lotion, changed beds and even changed location to see if the beds were better maintained in Summerlin location, but their beds literally sucks and all you get is "I AM SORRY" Such a shame they lost a costumer of long years. If you are looking for good tanning this is not the place to go anymore. read more

Got the 36.99 unlimited tanning level 1 for a month! And loved the results. I tried tons of different locations and every one has different beds. I got two free upgrades to the FGT beds i used at the very end of my month membership. However the staff were hit and miss with their knowledge. I was allergic to the overly scented moisturizer/lotions they sell so i stopped using it and was fine. Just lotioned up after sessions. Recommend starting at 6 mins and going up a minute after every 2-3 sessions .till i got to 12 minutes was the max for me. WORST EXPERIENCE The lady who originally helped me was very nice but did not tell me the contract I was signing up for could not be cancelled until after 10 months. She specifically said you can cancel whenever you want. Then corporate was not accommodating at all pretty much calling me a liar. They are not willing to provide me with any information or anyone even higher to speak to when requested. In fact, the lady whom I spoke with told me she is the highest one up. If I could give ZERO stars I would. First of all, your "manager" Heather who was working at corporate office this morning hung up on me simply because I wanted to speak to her manager. I asked for basic information so I could get help from another person as she was absolutely rude. She hung up on me then proceeded to block my number. Nice Job Heather, you just lost a loyal customer and many more to come. Also, how do I take care of my account after you have proceeded to block me for no reason. Is this really necessary? Heather from corporate office is the absolute worst. She is one of the rudest persons I have even encountered. There are way too many options about there to choose from when it comes to tanning salons. RIO Tan on Charleston & West 215 has been recommended to me countless times but I've stayed loyal. It's time I take my business elsewhere and so should everyone else. Their prices are better as well. I can't speak for anyone else who works at body heat tanning as I have had a pretty good experience with the workers at the Flamingo & W 215 location for years but Heather should not be in charge at corporate office. I have been a long time customer of body heat tanning. Unfortunately, my child fell very Ill and although I was no longer in contract, I still had an obligation to request cancellation. I emailed corporate office and was met by a returned email from one of the rudest people I have ever come across. I was told they could not cancel my contract because my most recent payment did not go through ( due to a change in bank accounts). I then advised I would be paying it but I wanted to ensure they cancelled my account as to prevent any further charges as I was going through a very difficult time with my child and I just would not be able to pay anything more right now. I then proceeded to call corporate office and was met by the same very rude person. She had no compassion whatsoever. I almost lost my child and have been in and out of the hospital with her. I reiterated this to Heather but she basically said "too bad so sad". I now owe them over 300.00 and if I didn't pay it, they'd send me to collections. I asked politely to speak to management and she said she was management. I asked for her title and she said she was not permitted to give me that information but that she is the only person I could speak to. I asked for the name of her supervisor or manager and apparently, there is not one. Maybe she is the owner maybe she is not a manager at all but whatever the case, she is absolutely horrible. She stated that she has the highest title there although she wouldn't elaborate on what title that that was. She then hung up on me as I was asking for her last name. I guess I'm just SOL. Perfect! I attempted to call the 215 & W Flamingo location since I was rudely hung up on but it seems she blocked my phone number. The phone number listed on the website for all locations is the same number for corporate office. So basically I was blocked from simple calling but you'd like me to take care of a bill or you'll send me to collections? Unbelievable. Heather... dear. Treat people how you want to be treated! The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced at the corporate level. The kids they have running the different locations are inexperienced and not trained well. Customers need to be aware of what they are signing... they will swindle you out of a lot money (read the reviews and check their complaints with BBB). They would rather lose long term customers and long term profit than let you out of their fraudulent contract. A contract that you aren't even aware you are signing. They do not care about their customers, they are only interested in their bottom line... which, at this point must be suffering drastically & rightfully so. The people at corporate have a lot to learn about business. I have never in my life witnessed such poor company practices. I've been a loyal Bodyheat customer for many years and I've finally had enough. They would rather collect $200.00 now to end my contract and lose me as a customer forever instead of making hundreds or even thousands off of me in the future by correcting my situation. Whoever is running thus circus isn't very bright. I'm done with Bodyheat tanning I urge anyone who has been wronged by this company to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the local news or Nevada consumer Affairs. I go here at least once a week and I'm always so happy when I see that it's Robin that is working. Though everyone is typically friendly, she goes above and beyond. Robin explains things thoroughly, has my best interest in mind, is engaging and actually holds a conversation on a personal level while still keeping things professional. I would give a better rating, but this place is advertised as 24 hours and since covid they reduced their hours to 9am-10pm. I have crazy work hours and I don't always get to line up my perfectly prepped spray tan with the current hours. I just tried twice this week to go at like 8:30am because I thought they would be open earlier. The second I forgot they aren't open until 9, so my bad. But still, covid is pretty much over. I went here after finding a coupon for a free week of tanning. The first couple of people behind the desk were friendly but some were unprofessional and lazy. I did not sign up for a packet after finding red bumps all over my body. I used lotion and I have never had this before in a tanning bed. They are super pushy when it comes to selling their lotions and one admitted to being on commission. I would rather be pale than deal with tanning salon dramas. The location is great. They have a weird thing saying they are 24 hour location but nothing about their hours are 24 hours. read more

Don't sign up with recurring charges on your card with these thieves. They don't give you a copy of the contract when you join. I went to the store where my boyfriend and I joined to let them know he was cancelling his membership bc he moved out of town for work due to covid. Clerk said, ok I cancelled it the system. Never said, it had to be cancelled via email to corporate office. Got another $78 on my card, called 'corp' number but got another store who gave me email and instructions to send cancellation. Which I did, and received a 'generic' response that some would be in contact with me. No confirmation that it was cancelled. Called corporate to be told it would take billing supervisor up to 2 weeks to respond. But it was a 30 day cancellation notice anyway. So now I'm on my 3rd charge of $78 as of Aug 15th. And they won't allow you to actually speak with anyone in billing!!! read more

I telephoned to get information and make an appointment. The young lade explained spray tanning to me and was able to get me in right away. I purchased the Memorial Day special of 1 spray tan. I was shown into a room and given instruction how to stand and how to turn and the position of my arms. I am happy with my 1st spray tan and will return to purchase a monthly package for the summer. Suggestion: please alert new clients that the spray will be COLD Concern: When I stepped into the unit the flooring was wet. Not sure what that was...and will speak with them about it when I go in. Unfortunately this is the only tanning salon in town where I can find a Norvell spray tan machine. The problem is the machine is always broken. This location is supposed to be open 24/7 but often times when I come here at night I have to pound on the door until I wake up the graveyard employee. I bought a "triple dip" from them, via groupon, and when I got there the first treatment I was supposed to get was "broken". So, after calling the manager to see what to do, the girl gave me a free packet of primer to put on myself. Then she took me in the spraytan room and gave me the directions in about ten seconds flat. I had to open the door to ask questions twice after she had left. Then, when I got home and the spray had dried my right side was visibly darker than my left-from the spray jets. My feet were blazing red (top and bottom). The bottle of stuff that you are supposed to put on to avoid this was an unlabeled bottle sitting on the chair in the room- it looked and smelled like Jergens lotion. Today after showering and after scrubbing the tops and bottoms of my feet- I would not be able to go lay out at a beach or pool - for I look ridiculous! The only upside is that the rest of my body looks nice and even. But I would say overall I got ripped off, out of my $30 I spent on the groupon package. Wouldn't do it again and won't return- in fact I am debating whether to go talk to a manager and find out what that bottle of "stuff" is, what I normally would have gotten had the first treatment not been "broken" and show them my feet- and then ask for my money back. -Sarah, LV, NV read more

Total whim... my first trip to a tanning salon EVER. I originally started at the Bodyheat near Boca Park but they didn't have the infrared treatment I was interested in. (IR is for complexion problems I don't have but also has the potential to relieve arthritis pain.) After a pleasant visit with the first Bodyheat I visited the one near Charleston and Town Center. WOW. The staff had the patience of saints! I had a lot of questions and did end up getting "dark in a day" and will go back for the red light treatment... but I had a ton of questions which patiently answered which (of course) made me more than willing to drop cash for something new! The spray tan did make me look a little less "glow in the dark" Even though I like my pale skin and work like a southern woman to stay out of the sun to keep it that way, it's kind of fun to have a different look for a while. I bought a Groupon package so I'll go back for another session and see if I can get a little darker without looking like a Oompa Loompa. The tanning machine itself was a trip. You just stand there and it tells you waht to do.. I kind of reminds me of an automated car wash. I think it got it on fairly evenly. I thought it might big my eyes or be choking or something but not at all. I wouldn't want to inhale right when it's at my face but overall it was easy and comfortable. (albeit weird) I would definitely recommend giving it a shot if you haven't tried it before or are at some place you are not currently happy with. read more

I've been tanning at Body Heat for about 20 days now. It's very close to my office so I selected it based on location alone. I used to tan at Palm Beach Tan so that is my only real comparison (at this point I would say I like them better). The prices are pretty high to me considering the beds you get. I got the package that gets me to the level 4 beds. The beds are ok - I got a good base tan going. I would say that the staff is just OK. A couple of the girls keep asking me if I want to go the full 12 minutes. Dude...look at me...I'm fair skinned and I don't want to burn. Don't they see the # of minutes I went last time on the computer screen? Another con - it seems like every one of those beds is different - what buttons to push, how to turn off the face tanners, the music, the fans.....jeesh. Overall I wouldn't advise NOT to come here, but I'm not running around raving about them either. Side note to ALL tanning salons - please clean your floors more often. Just do it. Swiffers are cheap and easy to use. Those girls you are paying pennies per hour...if they can punch numbers on a computer, they can certainly use a Swiffer. I am so happy to have found this place.... after a long Day in quick care.. I had a terrible Experiance at a nail salon with CEE at Kyou... I caught s bad infection due to unclean tools. After have infected nails spending the day at quick care I went for a nice tan at body heat Highly recommend and they are so friendly I do also recommend AVOIDING Kyou and Cee.. they were terrible I am submitting my healthcare bills. read more

This company has horrible customer service. They really abuse you, and really have no respect for the customers. Also, when you sign a contract with them if you pay in the facility for one of your payments then it extends your contract for a month longer. So you may pay every month on time, but because they didn't take the money right out of your account it doesn't cancel out your contract. Also if you misses a month, you still need to pay the late fee, and the month you missed and pay it all back, and even when you do that your contract is extended. Which I had no problem in paying, even though their was no reason that I should have missed a month taking that they take it right out of my account. Also, whatever the people in the salon says has no credibility. Their response to everything was since I was no there I cannot help you. Well no one in customer service is ever at the salon so how does that work. Pretty much they scam you into everything. I have never had more problems with a place like this one. FYI if your contract is up, and the people up front say that your all taken care of, that is also a lie. You need to write a written statement saying that you are revoking your contract, or they create and new one for you and keep charging you. So just a reminder their employees have no say in anything so what ever they say or try to help you with is pointless. I"I know it's bad for you but if you are going to tan..." I have been tanning here for 3-4 years. I'm not a hardcore tanner. I go once a week or maybe 2x if I have something going on. I pay $54.00 a month for unlimited Level 4 tanning. The beds are always clean & kept up. If you join, you can tan at any of their locations. They offer specials & sales and most of the times I have gotten a phone call telling me about their special deals if I haven't been there in awhile, as a reminder. They offer spray tanning although I have yet to try it! Most of their staff is nice but they have 2 outstanding employees that make you feel you are more than "just a number". (Emily & Brooke!). Tanning products are expensive and I have never been steered wrong by Emily or Brook's recommendations ( I try to buy the least expensive) which I buy during one of their sales. My fave location is the salon in the Albertson's shopping center at W. Charleston near Hualapai. read more

Im not sure if the staff is trained on how to clean the spray booths properly. I can never get a consistently decent spray tan. It's always uneven. The nozzles are clogged and spray solution at you during the drying cycle. Also the booth is rarely wiped down at the top so you may get water dripped on your arm during the process. I sort of wish the staff wasn't so friendly so then I could have saved my money by cancelling my membership right away. I got a spray at the Henderson location because of convenience, it was splotchy and uneven I had no lotion on fresh out of the shower I spray and self tan 3-4 times a week. I went in with clean naked skin, no tan and came out with polka dots. I called and received a free tan, so I decided to go to another location I went to the Charleston location & the exact same thing happened. This never happens when I go to my other two salons I spray at. Looks terrible, now my second weekend looking like this lol. I recommend Tan Republic or Palm Beach. read more
