Sadly I have to do this because I wasted a lot of time and feel others should be aware before contacting this company. I had a pretty straightforward repair which I posted to Yelp to try to find a handyman. He was the first to reply and seemed eager, he was also able to come with relatively short notice so we scheduled for 10am today. At 10am he called me saying he would be late and come at noon, which was a slight inconvenience but I needed the work done so I agreed to wait. 12:30 comes around, no call and no show. I called him and his phone service was choppy and the call dropped so I texted him asking when he was coming because I did have afternoon plans and couldn't wait all day. No response. 1:08pm and still no response, no call, nothing. I texted him saying to please just cancel. No response. I understand things come up but communication is so important. If he had another job go too long or something else came up, a text or call letting me know would have been appreciated. Maybe the work he does is great, I'll never know, but be wary of this issue because now that I see other reviews it seems I'm not the only one this has happened to. read more

He spends enough time to make sure the job is done properly even though it may take trips to Home Depot and Lowes. Third was power supply connections for already wired in my garden he says total for 3 work 600$. I said I wanted to paint a small washed area outer wall he said another 100$. Ok total 700$. Then I explained I wanted plugs in the garden he said 3 plugs 300$. So total 1000$. I tried to ask if you say 300$ for everything in the garden then 100$ u have quoted should be out and I couldn't make him understand because he doesn't speak English. I got tired and agreed 1000$ . Material cost 100$ I paid on this day. So remaining 900$ for work day. Garage: 500$ Power supply connections: 100$ Paint: 100$ 3 plugs: 300$ Work day: he came and went directly to garden and sees the wall is concrete. Normally it is concrete. He doesn't have tools to work on that. He should have checked on day1 for quote but that's ok:. How much should be the revised quote it should be 1000-300=700 I asked atleast connect the power supply he didn't recommend. then he completed the work and looks like we didn't have paint at home and we decided he will come other day to do it. Now with no power supply and no plug how much should be the quote . It should be 700-100=600$. I failed to explain this and we agreed on 700$ even though it had to be 600$. I asked can I pay you the paint money when u actually finish painting. He was adamant on remaining 600$. I paid him all as it was very difficult to communicate. Day of paint: he comes and paint and asks me 100$. I said how much was total 700$ I already paid. He says you paid me 600$ total. I said I paid 600$ cash and 100$ on materials.he was rude and left. Agustin is a wonderful handyman who can do lots of things . He is responsible, hard working, trustworthy, very polite and pleasant, flexible, and aims to please. He frequently checked in to make sure that we were satisfied with the progress of the work. He built and painted cages for our vegetable boxes. They are sturdy and beautiful. He made and installed 8 floating shelves in our living room. I had bought brackets that were not strong enough to support the weight of the shelves, so he had to come up with Plan B to use rebar and anchor the shelves in the wall studs. He and his team did the electrical work for our garden lights and relocated our 600 lb fountain. He did other handyman work around the house with efficiency and quality. We highly recommend him , will call him for any future projects, and wish him much deserved luck! read more

He was very unprofessional, unorganized, rude, and would NOT perform anything extra to finish up the job smoothly. He started demanding for more money and running to buy materials during the installation process. He was very greedy, kept on complaining, and demanded for more money. Basically, we ended up paying more but he still left things unfinished in which we ended up completing his installation mess after. Would not recommend his service. I hired Agustin to do many small things and despite the fact that he's competent, honest about his capabilities, and punctual I can't recommend his services. One part of the job he was hired to do was stucco repair on the exterior of my house which was done poorly. He literally just slapped something on without forming or shaping and left a mess too. I had to hire someone else to repair his mistakes. He was also tasked with cleaning out all the debris from my crawlspace but upon inspection later he did not completely clear out out. I also ended up having someone else complete the job. In short, you really need to be on him and point out obvious details. Be careful though, he has a habit of trying to charge you extra if you ask for the slightest extra. I did not call him back to make him fix his mistakes because I just don't trust him. read more

I needed a waterline installed for my new refrigerator. Agustin answered my call right away, was there the next day to look at the job and started right away. While looking for the water lines in the crawlspace, he found a broken pipe under my kitchen sink. He added the sink to his list of fixes without an issue. While patching the drywall after completing the refrigerator job, Agustin also patched a hole in the wall in my garage. Agustin's prices for all three jobs were more than reasonable. Well under what I was quoted elsewhere. He also followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the job. Agustin is prompt, hard working and extremely respectful, but more importantly he is honest. Bait-switch, Hustle-bully. That should be a better name for the Rios crew. I found them on yelp and inquired about a handyman job. Rios arrived and opened the door without knocking. He was given three tasks to give an estimate; 1) garbage disposal; 2) replacing tub overflow; 3) replacing a shower head. After a solid 20 minutes of Spanish on the phone with his brother, he puts me on the phone with him for the quote. $460. Then it changed to $750. Mind you this is a max 90 min job. The hustle without parts was averaging about $375/hour. I respectfully declined and respectfully asked Rios to exit. Then called his brother again and talked for another 5 min in Spanish. I respectfully interrupted and reminded them I was not interested as he kept his foot prompt up inside the house. He then demanded money for gas. Awful customer service. Unprofessional and downright unsafe to let them into anyone's home. BUYER BEWARE! This is coming from someone who writes mostly positive reviews. Did fine work but threatened to undo all the work he did when he didn't get paid the minute he finished his work. I've never not paid my contractors and am usually very quick but he wanted it paid within seconds, was extremely unreasonable and resorted to threats. BEWARE!!! WILL NOT RECOMMEND!! I called Agustin because I was remodeling my kitchen and on a time crunch to complete the hob and wanted to move the sink pipe from one wall to another. My home has a crawl space which all the work could be done from underneath. Simple enough job. Day 1. I call him for a quote. He says he will come the following day at 8am. 8:30am he doesn't show. (should have seen the red flags) I call him and he says sorry his truck is broken down and he wouldn't be able to make it until 1pm. Ok fine no problem. 1pm comes around. No show. Finally closer to 2pm he rings the doorbell. Great at least he showed up. Hour late but whatever we are all humans and things delay us no biggie. I tell him to crawl underneath to see the how to run the pipes from underneath. he says no we can just tear the sheetrock off and do it from inside the kitchen. ok fine no problem. I figure he knows better. Says he can be here tomorrow in the morning at 10am to start the job says roughly 5 hours. 10am comes around and no show again. 11:30 he rings the door bell with a worker. They get to work. Tear the sheetrock off and now problems. Theres more pipes running through the wall and he cant do it from the top. He finally goes under and says he will have to do all the work from below the home. (Had already suggested that from the beginning. but then Again there was no way of knowing there were that many pipes in the wall with the sheet rock up so fair enough.) At this point its 3pm. He says now he has to run to home depot to pick up the materials and to pay him at least for materials. Sounds fair. Cash only though. Hmm should have of been smarter about that but he seems like a good guy. But since its a 5 hour job he said he will come the next day to finish it early so he's not at my home too late. OK fair enough. 12pm was the agreed time. The next day comes around and its 2pm and nothing. I call him and he's in a job sight in Pleasanton supposedly. He cant make it. Now I have to delay countertop installation, flooring because he cant show up. Swears up and down Sunday morning. Ok fine. Bad planning on his part. Sunday morning I start calling him at 8am. No answer. Texts? No response. It's almost 1 and still no response. He got paid materials and never responded again. I called him from a different number. He finally answered. I asked is its was Rio Agustin I was talking to. He said yes. I told him where was he and then he said he wasnt Rios and I got the wrong number. Then he pretended not to speak english and only spanish. Lucky for me I speak spanish. He said he has no idea what I am talking about. I hung up on me.
