Dive bar in the best way. Their Facebook advertised drink specials last until closing. Karaoke Thursdays Fridays and most Saturdays, unless there is an SEC game. The drink specials advertised on Facebook last until close. You can smoke in this bar which is fantastic. They always have different drinks specials and food specials every night. The kitchen has nightly specials and closes depending on how many people are in the bar, Typically between 10 PM and midnight. Fraser is the best bartender ever meet.

A great bar in weekend with great bands. A great crowd at night. Won best bar in Shelby County. Allows smoking and has nightly events. It has golf gamea, pool, and digitial jukebox. Staff are attractive with great personality and quick with a snarky remark when called for. The beer is well priced and the Rio Burger is tops but if you want to go something special, ask for trucker tots

Rio's is tucked away off to the side of the same building as El Patron in the old Brickworks spot. I've heard the wings were good and we needed quick take-out. Called in the order and left shortly thereafter. It was quite difficult to find a spot to park. A number of businesses share the limited parking spaces. The space is small. The interior is relatively unchanged since the Brickworks days, with a bar replacing the area where the steam table sat. I saw Guinness on draft but didn't have time to partake. I saw maybe 5 more draft options and what appeared to be a basic full bar. There was a pool table and a tiny stage for live music. The food was ready when I got there. The lady behind the bar that took my order and brought me my food was very nice. The order: 20 wings half hot half mild with bleu cheese and an order of fried pickles. The wings had great flavor. The bleu cheese and ranch seemed house made. The pickles were far thicker cut dill chips than I've ever had with a much thicker batter. It reminded me of fried zucchini but w pickles. Not bad, I prefer crispier thin with a lighter batter. They allow smoking inside. Small space virtually everyone inside was smoking. This is one of the very few remaining establishment I'm aware of that allow smoking inside. In my past life a close to me small smokey dive with good bar food and live music would totally be up my alley. Today it's not a total deal breaker for me if I were there later in the evening to see the band. Likely wouldn't go here for drinks and dinner w the wife.

Best bar tenders and best food around. Could not ask for a better local pub to frequent. Never had anything that was bad!

We all agreed beforehand that we wanted to try a new place that felt pretty relaxed and had outdoor seating. This place gave everything, plus some! We didn't have to wait long for a table, and our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions & helped me decide what to order. The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. I ordered the fish of the day: Red Snapper w/a Sweet Pea, Tomato & Saffron Risotto 20/10 I always judge food on whether it's "first bite" good & every piece on my plate passed the test. One of my friends chose the Smoked Salmon Pizza, which I was a bit skeptical about at first, but I tried a slice & it was so good. Definitely an out of the ordinary pizza combo that made me rethink all the ways smoked salmon can be used. Another friend ordered the Grilled Ribeye w/Brussel Sprouts & Mashed Potatoes, she loved it! The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately. Overall, I'll definitely be returning b/c the food, pricing & atmosphere are all worth the drive. Can't wait to try the lunch menu next!

I have sat down multiple times to write this review and I've deleted it because I can't seem to…read morefully express how amazing this business and these owners truly are. My family and I visited this restaurant after my doctors appointment a couple of weeks ago, we are not from the area we actually live in Gadsden so it was our first time trying this restaurant. Let me just start out with this the food was absolutely delicious. I don't have much of an appetite these days and I. An honestly say I finished almost all of my food and ate until I was stuffed and that isn't something that happens very often. Each member of my family was happy with their food and was already planning out what they would order when we come back after my next appointment . I just opened a Farm Stand in our home town and while we were sitting and eating I spotted a mixer that was sitting off to the side with some other supplies. If you know anything about industrial mixers they are far from cheap I had been looking at a few in the $500 range so I thought I would just check. I asked the guy upfront if he could ask the owner if it was for sale and if so how much he was asking. The owner came and spoke to us and I quickly realized that the mixer he had was way more expensive than the ones I had been looking at and I told him I was sorry that I couldn't even give him a fair price after looking up the kind he had . He looked at us and gave me a price that was astonishing to say the least , but I still didn't have that much at the moment. He told me to give him what I could and then pay him later when I had it for the rest. This is a man who has never met me he had no reason to help me besides just being kind. When you hear this man talk about helping others and community he means it, it's not just talk to make him sound good. I left his restaurant that day with a mixer that was several thousands of dollars. So I say all of that to say this Alabaster and surrounding areas yall are truly blessed to have a business that not only has amazing food but has amazing people who truly care about others, and from personal experience I can tell you they don't have to have known you for years to treat you like family. We will be making this restaurant part of our stop each time we come through. Thank you again for blessing me I can't tell you how much it has ment!

Only concern was I asked for Champy's sauce with the tender basket, looked at it in the parking lot and noticed it looked like their honey mustard instead. Tried it, confirmed it tasted like honey mustard, then went inside with my receipt asking for it to be switched for Champy's sauce. Spoke to a waitress (not the one who helped us at drive thru) and I explained that I wanted Champy's sauce. She said "uh huh" confused and I held up what I had saying it tasted like honey mustard. She said yes Champy's sauce is honey mustard based. I told her I've been to (and worked as a teenager) at Champy's before in Tennessee and the color was more yellow than the orange I'm used to (like they added too much honey mustard) and again it tasted exactly like honey mustard. She explained that the Champy's sauce (and red heat) recipe was different at their location. I took her answer and left. Not sure if I indeed had honey mustard (they come in the same containers) and she didn't want to double check or if their Champy's sauce recipe really is just primarily honey mustard. I think the people of Alabama are missing out though on the champys sauce from the original location in Chattanooga, not sure why there is so much variation between locations. Other than that, everything was great!
