The asst. manager at Auto Zone on Main St. advised we'd purchased the wrong bulb, got us the right one & tried to change it out. It wouldn't come out, so she referred us to Jack's Transmission. Jack too had to work at figuring out how to get this thing out, but he did get it changed & only charged a nominal price for it. All this after the local Midas had both quoted an overcharged amount for the bulb (almost double) AND $360 in labor! An obvious & obscene way to try to take advantage of a disabled senior! All told, between the local AutoZone & Jacks Transmission, they saved this senior with health concerns, over $400!!! Thank you, Jack! Service Dept called me and gave me a cost of $1200.00 to repair the problem after they performed their diagnosis which included the tow.. I said yes.... 2 days later, they ask for $ 2,000.00 just to continue to diagnose and work on the truck... I said NO, that is ridiculous. We arraigned our own tow as they did not fix the truck in any way and the cost was... $ 150.00. I am not in the business to pay a shop to learn or teach employees how to work on a vehicle. Why is the owner not supervising these young technicians? They have very little experience and should be supervised by experienced in licensed mechanics. When I picked up my vehicle, the alignment seemed way off. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the work they performed, but they certainly took the two front rims and tires off the vehicle. All I can tell you is my steering wheel was jiggly back & forth driving over 60mph. As a result, I have to take my suv to a tire shop for a wheel alignment. Another $100 bucks.

And they told me bring the vehicle in for inspection. I arrived about 15 minutes before they open and surprisingly the gentlemen instead of pushing me away by telling me we are still not open asked me to come in and I was able to leave my car that is above and beyond especially because I expected a please wait.We're not open yet. So they contacted me that day. Giving me a price range. And they kept their word. My vehicle was there over the weekend, the next day, I noticed a check engine light on. So I decided to drive back To Leale's they put it in the scanner. And they noticed that it had a code related to the cadillac converter one of the gentleman there told the one that was scanning for codes. Raise up the vehicle, make sure that all the sensors are connected. They could have missed not connecting one. And that can be the cause of the check engine light. They did remove that check engine light. And also they had the person that was working on my car. The day before, and he mentioned that one of the gaskets in the exhaust before the Cadillac converter was a little deteriorated, and they recommended that I change that. So I do appreciate the honesty. My car is Running even better than before, as they did not just fix the leak but actually serviced the transmission. I would definitely recommend this place.
