If there was ever a place in the lower 48 I would recommend traveling to for ice cream - this place will be it. On our way to Spokane from West Glacier we made a wrong turn and ended up at this wonderful establishment. They make their ice cream servings a little different. You can choose from basic flavors and add fresh fruit and other sweet options to it. Finally the blend it to serve it as soft serve. I picked vanilla and added huckleberries along with chocolate chips to it. My friends picked different flavors and we all loved it. The staff is amazing and super friendly. Take their time to explain everything and super friendly. Cute seating outdoors and with good views ! A must stop on the way back from Glacier or a place where you'd love the cream. read more

Everything you'd hope to find in a mom&pop joint on a road trip. Perfect stop on the way home from glacier before we hit the fast food highway (I-90). They had salads and wraps and pizza. My family and I got invited to check this ice cream place out. The ice cream was so phenomenal that we stopped by the next day as we drove by anyway. We are all in agreement that this ice cream is the best we ever had bar none. Try it out yourself and you will agree with us as well. read more

Me and my family stopped at Ripples to get some simple ice cream, but when we did we were met with terrible service. When we walked in there was nobody at the front at first and it was dirty. There were flies on the toppings. And when we ordered our icecream she said that the only flavors available were vanilla, chocolate, coconut, and huckleberry. While on the back board there were multiple flavors. She was rude and got our orders wrong and said that they were closing in a minute, which we had no problem with. However, it was 3:03pm and it said they closed at 8:00pm? She also wore only 1 glove and put it down on a dirty table before putting it on. I have no problem with the place technically but we won't be back. Not to mention she touched the top of our icream with her UNGLOVED hand. read more

What a great surprise hidden away in Plains, Montana. First impressions were great; nice decor, friendly staff, and amazing selection of ice cream. Seriously, they must have 30 different favors, which makes choosing difficult. I stood there drooling for at least a few minutes. I settled on a huckleberry milkshake, while the kids went for chocolate chip and Oreo. There was no bad choice really. The prices were very reasonable, especially compared to coldstone where you get taken for a small fortune. You get better ice cream at a fraction of the price. This place is definitely more than just ice cream. The smell coming from the kitchen was amazing! Next time I'm ordering food. Highly recommend dropping by for a scoop, or a bite to eat, when you're driving through town. read more

Great little spot! They have three main flavors vanilla chocolate and huckleberry (local and in season flavor) Then we choose flavors and then they mix the flavors to create soft serve ice cream. What a gem! Stopped here after seeing the "Salads and Wraps" part of their sign. Was not disappointed! Fresh, delicious, and healthy wraps! Nice stop on the way home to Spokane from Glacier National Park. It was the only place open In town as we drove back on Sunday. My husband and I had the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken bacon ranch wrap. He chose a garlic herb wrap and I had the tomato. Wraps were delicious and served with potato chips. Our boys split a 12 in cheese pizza and were very happy; we had only 3 slices left over. We didn't plan well enough to try the ice cream but maybe next time. Cute atmosphere, pleasant staff, good service. Pizza is made from scratch so takes 25 min. Would definitely stop here again! read more

Have never had ice cream like this- choose hard scoop vanilla/chocolate/huckleberry or frozen yogurt, then choose mix-ins (pre-selected combos or choose your own). It all gets mixed by a machine that churns it out like soft-serve into a cone or dish. Incredible! read more

I had The #2 Montana Rockies with vanilla ice cream, fudge, Heath and salted caramel , and it was as good as the big name stores in the country. Oh, and remember, it is salted caramel, so if you don't like salt then you may want something different... but it was still excellent. read more

We stopped here on a whim on the way to Sandpoint. The couple running the place are adorable and committed to American/local made products. Their Strawberry Rhubard ice cream was amazing. They do a really cool thing with their ice cream. They take their ice cream and your choice of toppings and blend it together. Best icecream I've ever had! The place is spotless and the service is unbelievably friendly :) you get to choose your base and any amount of mixins to create your own flavor.
