The leasing office has also become incredibly responsive, and the team is always friendly, helpful, and willing to assist. A special thank you to Tamia, who was amazing throughout my recent apartment transfer. The whole team made the entire transfer process smooth and stress-free, and were always available to answer my questions and help with anything I needed along the way. Their professionalism and kindness made such a difference. The maintenance team also deserves recognition--they're amazing, always quick to respond to requests and do a great job. I'm grateful and blessed to call this community home, and I look forward to continuing to live here. Highly recommend!

Public areas are the only areas that they focus on for showing to visitors. Tenants car speeded in garage. Children yelled, kicked balls, rode bike and electric scooter in public areas, recreation room, hallways. Dogs barked at all hours. The wall, doors are chipped, marks needed new paint. Carpets are old and often have trash, debris. Some hallways needed additional lighting. Balcony with chipped wood, cover algae but management would not power wash Maintenance services team sometimes took days to respond. Management does not care to fix issues, damages within the tenant units.

I advise you to not rent here. The management is unhelpful, majority of the front desk folks are…read moreconstantly grumpy, and it's way too expensive for what you get. One example - They switched our payment system and billed us 300 dollars for late payment even though we had auto payments on. Very little comms about switching the system which required rekindling bank accounts. Maintenance had to come in 3 times for the same issue. You get charge for common space electricity. Literal nickel and diming for everything.

This place is designed to drain your wallet, and they'll invent ridiculous excuses to do it. For example, if your guest parks in the visitor parking but fails to obtain one of their absurd "guest parking passes" (every single time), they'll tow the car--and then demand **$250** from *you* to release it. When I moved out, they offered a post-move cleaning program for **$150**, which I agreed to. But then, out of nowhere, they slapped me with an **$1,800 bill**, claiming they needed to "deep clean" the entire unit and replace the fridge and oven--**without any proof, warning, or reasonable explanation**. To add insult to injury, they sent the bill to a debt collector instead of resolving the issue fairly. This is nothing short of a **scam**. They lure you in with some fancy amenities , then hit you with outrageous, unjustified charges. **Stay far away.**

The building itself is aesthetically beautiful and meticulously maintained. Its location offers convenient access to major highways--including I-66, I-495, and the Dulles Toll Road--as well as the Silver Line Metro. The community is also very dog-friendly, complete with a dedicated dog spa. I would highly recommend this complex to friends and family.

Far too…read moreoften, multiple elevators are out of service, and management consistently offers excuses rather than solutions. They fail to properly pre-plan elevator inspections, which leads to long delays--often it takes up to 10 -15 minutes just to catch an elevator. When one finally arrives, it's often packed with 10 to 12 people and several dogs, making the ride uncomfortable and frustrating. Over the past week, only two elevators have been servicing 28 residential floors plus four levels of parking. Today, there was only one elevator running. That is simply unacceptable for a building marketed as high-end. Management needs to take accountability, invest in timely elevator maintenance, and ensure inspections are completed without disrupting daily life for residents. This level of service does not match the premium price tag.

I moved to Avalon Tysons Corner during Covid so there was an amazing discount in price due to the…read morecircumstances. Lived in a 1 bedroom + loft which was very spacious, but encountered multiple issues starting even before move in day. 1) we signed a lease for a specific apartment and style and then 1 week before move in day receive an email saying the previous tenant is not leaving anymore so they are going to find us a new apartment. Ended up in a unit with same square footage but older finish. Had to argue about keeping the price too because they wanted to increase it because it was a different unit and different market rate which was total BS for breaking our legal agreement to move into the unit. 2) because of this, there was clearly confusion upon move in day because the rep helping us move in said she couldn't find our keys... she had the old paperwork in front of her from our original signed lease and not our updated lease... I had to point that out to her when I asked to see what the move in packet looked like. Office staff is either incompetent or there's a lack of organization causing mishaps like that. 3) AC either cools or heats your apartment. Have to ask maintenance to switch it. AC constantly broke too which maintenance had to fix. Considering it was Covid times, I was understanding of the delay in service time but after Covid the maintenance team was prompt with work orders within ~2-3 days at most. I'd give them a solid 5 stars for the work they did to try and fix these old apartments. 4) post Covid, rent skyrocketed 30% for the same old apartment... when asked what value I'm receiving in the hike in price all they could say is that it was the current market price which is expended but cmon, those apartments are not worth anymore than 2100/month. By the end of our stay we were paying 2450/month after initially moving in at 1880... when our renewal came in for the potential 3rd lease they wanted to charge us 2500. BS. 5) gate is always broken and several cars have been broken into. A car parked near mine literally had the window smashed in. Definitely not safe at all as they market it to be a gated community. They do try to fix it, but by the time they get to it it's been 3 months and then it breaks again. 6) trash always overflows and compactor breaks, leading to people throwing trash outside of dumpster and numerous rats near the trash area. Definitely avoided throwing trash out at night to avoid those disease ridden animals. 7) speaking of animals, there were occasionally raccoons on people's balconies or on the roof. They were mostly chill tho but could be harmful. Always heard them on our roof late at night. 8) living on the 4th /top floor, you'd assume there would be no pest problems. Even though we kept our apartment clean, there would be ants on our balcony somehow and towards the end of our lease were battling them for several months. That was the final straw as we decided to non-renew our 3rd lease lol. 9) when we first signed our lease the amenity fee was $250, but then increased to $500 for the 2nd lease. They did not add any value to amenities and clearly wanted more profits from tenants. 10) be prepared for occasional stolen Amazon packages. When the doors are locked to the club house / Amazon hub lockers, the Amazon drivers will try to deliver it to your doorstep. Sometimes they are lazy and leave it by the mailboxes. I've seen them post a photo of where it was left in the Amazon app and then fail to find my package afterwards. This happened more than once so good luck with ordering stuff to your apartment / town home. In summary, you are better off finding somewhere else to live if you're going to end up spending $$$ to live in the Tysons area until management addresses these issues.
