Drive-thru: I was greeted with a smile by two female staff members. The coffee was delicious and just what I needed!

I got a decaf iced latte with cake batter and amaretto (sugar free) syrups. The taste was pretty good, but I think it had too much milk. I wish it had had more coffee flavor. That could be because it was decaf, however. I would try it again. The price for my 16oz was only $4.50, so it wasn't too bad! The inside of the building is cute and classy! The service was good, but they weren't busy so that helped.

Place was very cozy as we walked in, and the worker was very nice and nobody else was there besides us.

We each had the turkey plate, so turkey slices and two sides each, and a "roll" which was so tiny it was almost funny, but it was hard. The dressing was fine--Not exceptional but also not awful. Our sides included green beans which made me remember my public school lunchroom. Skip those ! Be aware too that you can call and order for pickup but if you do, and your order isn't ready when you arrive, YOU must check at the SIDE counter and request that someone frequently check "call ins" --which are kept UNDER the counter (you can't get them yourself). And while the counter staff call out people's names for patrons who are sitting at tables to come and get their trays, the staff does NOT call out your name for pickups! We waited an extra 30 mins on our food -- trying not to be rude and ask. I'm glad I finally asked !! I've stopped at a few other places in this town coming through or home from the beach, and Bates is the cleanest. IF I try again, I will try the turkey sandwich.

We were very disappointed. It kind of makes me not want to go there again and I for sure will not get a frozen dish from there. I hope you could improve upon this that was expensive too not worth $34.

BBQ is a gem of the American countryside dining. Partially, because the only other alternative is…read moretypically fast food. But, that would not be a fair description of this tradition: BBQ is an incredible style of cooking and spots like this represent this tradition well. BBQ 65 is conveniently located right off the interstate in a gas station in a saloon like building that has a beautiful character from the outside. Open since 2010s, this spot has started to earn its place in the BBQ world, albeit being newer to it. There is an indoor seating inside near the gas station shop aisles. The ribs are cooked well with a nice wood profile, but neither very delicate nor particularly notable for their flavor of the meat itself, with smoke notes dominating. The quality of pork itself and the slightly tougher preparation could be better to rival Alabama's best. The BBQ sauce is loaded up with vinegar, completely overpowering the meat if consumed together, although to be fair, this may be a matter of preference for some BBQ lovers. The star of the show is potato salad which was perfectly balanced on its acidity, sweetness and overall flavor. As a whole, BBQ 65 is a pleasant stop to experience some traditional southern cooking and support a local business instead of tossing money into another "by the exit" fast food chain.

We were driving through town and we were on a time limit. When we got there, they already had our order ready. They also gave us extra sauce, butter, and sour cream. They had some humorous signs on the wall which we had to take photos of. The staff were great. This was a really nice place. Plenty of seating. Small adoreable little resturant with that southern flare you would expect in the south....simple yet inviting. We received a big "welcome in" from the staff. As we walked to the register we noticed huge potatoes on custimers plates overflowing with goodness. My wife ordered the Loaded Seafood Potato and I ordered the New Mac n Cheese with Bacon Potato. Both of the dishes were lip smacking delicious. If you are in the Greenville, Alabama area and are looking for something different to sink your teeth into, you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
