Best doughnuts I've ever had. I love a yeast doughnut. My previous favorite doughnut was doughnut plant, but this is so flavorful and fresh. The peach fritter was our favorite and out of this world. Can't wait to try an apple fritter. The jelly in the raspberry jam was slightly tart, and the perfect accompaniment to the fluffy dough. Lastly the dark chocolate was not overly sweet. Ok so I will say...you have to go! Run don't walk to get the Aztec Cinnamon donut. That warm, delicious tire shaped game changer is AMAZING! The staff is so happy and the window that allows you to watch them bake is so fun! I want to work there (maybe more for snack breaks and the actual recipe) its incredible. Rise Doughnuts! where have you been all my life? Well I had heard about this donut shop as a pop up store in Wilton by one of my neighbors, but had been unlucky to catch them on time. Now that they have a permanent place, right on Center St, where previously a pharmacy used to be, I saw that there was no line on a Saturday morning, so immediately parked and walked in. The place has a counter facing you inside and a communal table on the right. Most importantly there is a heavenly scent of donuts being made as you enter the shop. A small menu displays what is available or not, as the choice of doughnuts very quickly change as it looks like they make a limited quantity. There are beverages like coffee and tea available too, but I was here only for the doughnuts. I went ahead and ordered a Brown Butter Vanilla and a Strawberry donut just to try. They come in a medium sized box and to my surprise they were pretty large sized and served warm. Me and my daughter could not wait to try them and before we even got to the car our hands were all sticky with having a go at the doughnuts. Needless to say they disappeared very quickly and I went back in to get some more, but was 30 seconds too late, as they were sold out. Now for the taste, I have to say they were probably the best Doughnuts I have had. A) the size is very decent, B) They are soft when you try to bite or cut into them (as we did both) C) The texture of the dough is very consistent D) and most importantly they are served warm, which I would say is the only way you should have them. Eat them right at the doorstep to get the best experience. Great addition to our Wilton neighborhood, though the timings are limited, hopefully they will extend them as something this good will soon catch on as the word spreads. The donuts here are definitely much better than most any place in Ffld County. They are very fluffy/yeasty. The best was when I went at opening time-- so fresh. Tastes like they use real quality ingredients. Even the next day, the donut we saved didn't have that awful bad oil taste. Chocolate one is my favorite. The apple fritters at Rise have compelled me to write my first Yelp review. Wow. These fritters are hands down the best donuts I have ever had-- for the first time in my life I feel cravings for donuts after a lifetime of being squarely a bacon, egg, and cheese girl. It also helps that the kids behind the counter are the absolute sweetest. Some reviews mentioned that Rise is only open Saturday and Sunday. This place has ruined all other doughnuts for me. These are the best doughnuts I've ever had without a shadow of a doubt. They're usually still warm when you get them and are somehow incredibly rich while still being light and fluffy. The flavors are incredible too. They usually have 5-6 flavors per day that change on a daily basis and I usually try a different flavor every time I go and I have never been disappointed. Staff is young and friendly and usually helps me pick when I can't decide.
