We are fairly new to CT having moved here from Oregon. I've been looking for a place that sells Maple Bars (or a maple donut) and after finding none, anywhere I googled and read it's a 'West of the Rockies' thing. What?????!!?? How could the most popular donut not be found on the east coast??? I put out a search request on a CT moms group and had 2 suggestions. 1 was that a donut shop in Danbury had them... so I called and placed and order. Nope. Not even close to the same. This place used to be soooo good. Not sure what happened but they are awful now! The breakfast sandwiches are double the price they used to be and they are gross. I ordered a sausage egg cheese with the egg scrambled and I received a fried egg and cheese with bacon sandwich. The bacon was tough and gross. Don't waste your time it money. read more

My husband & I have been here twice in 4 months and BOTH times we were double-charged for breakfast sandwiches... by two different gals. Not sure what to think of this. We weren't given receipts either time but $53 for 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 orange juices adds up to being charged twice for each item. We decided to give this place a try as I had purchased a Groupon and I'm glad we did. The kids loved all the different special donuts and once home stated it was "super yummy." Everything here is great. They make the best breakfast sandwiches/wraps, and of course the donuts/coffee are also great. The owner is also frequently there, is always extremely welcoming/friendly to everyone, and is very involved in the community. That really makes a difference, in my opinion. Definitely great bagels!! Got the "Erin" on an everything multigrain bagels and it was delicious. I loved the bagel itself! I would've been happy with just that bagel and the cream cheese! But ok, the rest of it.. I thought I'd never say this but there was a bit too much cream cheese for me and the tomato slice was a bit thin (but I'm a lover of juicy tomatoes.. so a little biased maybe =P), but the bacon was soooo good!! Love this cute place. Went in one day when it was Uncle Leo's birthday. Wow! So many people came in to wish him well, give cards, balloons, etc. says a lot about a person/place. My daughter and I have been a handful of times and food is good, quick and everyone is friendly. Ever since this place has been here I have been going to it off and on. First off I really like their donut. They are made right there, which is great because it's not just some factory produced garbage. I really like their Boston cream donut but if you get there too late in the morning they will be sold out. I like their coffee and their breakfast sandwiches are good although not particularly filling. Perhaps next time I will request an extra egg on them. It definitely has that small town feel to it and knowing that you are supporting a local family run place makes it all the better. The seating inside is tight but manageable. Not someplace to bring a large group to sit down for brunch, at least inside. There is space outside with seating though, which is nice. There is plenty of parking and the customer service has always been friendly. I try to come here as often as I can but being in Georgetown and all, it is sort of out there a bit. Get the Boston cream donut. read more
