Best donuts in Albuquerque! I enjoy bringing donuts to coworkers and employees in the morning on a fairly regular basis, I will drive across town to get these. The basic structure of the donuts themselves is the best in town, and the different flavors they bring to the table set them apart. I love donuts, so much so that I have donut in my handle for instagram. There is no question that the donuts at rise and roast are 5 star quality. They are consistently 5 star everytime, with so much flavor and super worth the price. However, in the couple years of going year about once a month, we have never had a positive experience in the drive thru or going into the business. The employees are never friendly, seemed to be annoyed when asked questions. A few weeks ago an employee scolded me for how I placed my online order. The funny thing is that I ordered exactly how their website and online ordering site says to if I want multiples of a donut when creating my own dozen. I've ordered online many times and never been scolded and she insisted my way (which is the way they ask you to do it) makes it difficult and that she will make sure they fix the site so it reflects how she wants it done. I waited almost a month now and no change on how they want it to ordered. I will continue going to rise and roast and driving from Corrales for their delicious donut but I hope one day they get better customer service. I must note that I pulled up their online ordering to show her and she refused to look at the site. I just can't understand how not once have we ever had friendly service. read more

They have a nice selection of donuts and good fresh brewed coffee. My long john was very sweet with a dusting of sea salt on top. It had a nice balance. I also tried a bit of the cinnamon roll. It wasn't the typical tall roll that you'd find at a church breakfast, it had a bit more mild of a cinnamon flavor and was thinner. Ride and Roast is a pretty good bakery and is locally owned. So the donuts are yummy. I have been there 6 or 7 times. The last 5 times no matter what time of day I've gone they are always out of Cinnamon Rolls. I went yesterday morning at 8:30 am and already out of cinnamon rolls. The young lady, who by the way wasn't very friendly, just told me I had to order early in the morning on line if I wanted to be sure to get one. So let me ask you a question? Who the heck wants to wake up at 4:30 am to order doughnuts. Last week I went by around 1 pm and they were COMPLETELY out of every kind of doughnuts, and they don't close until 4pm. Do they only make them once in the morning at 4am? This place is fresh! I love the atmosphere and I love the fare. The donuts are excellent and creative while the coffee is masterfully brewed. What a cute little coffee spot. I hadn't heard of this place but my girlfriend and I found ourselves on this side of town and decided to stop in. It's a small place but it's designed well with a fun theme to it. Two delicious iced coffees and a blueberry/lemon donut later, I'm sitting here hoping I have to come across town again soon. Also, I am going to go ahead and say it...I think this is better than a place that rhymes with Schamy's Donuts. Don't @ me. It is true. I have come here a few times to grab a coffee on my way to work. I genuinely enjoy that there is rarely a line in the drive-through. It felt like a chain although it's the only one I know of. There are other coffee shops in town with better coffee as well as better ambience. Ditto on the donuts, thus only 3 stars.
