It hurts my heart to write this review. Hopefully I can change it when or if I come back again. I arrived at Rise Up Bakery bright and early at 7 AM, lured in by the heavenly scent of baked goods--only to find the only thing rising was my disappointment. The only item ready was the cinnamon rolls, while the rest of the pastries were still enjoying their beauty sleep. I waited a patient 20 minutes after being told it would just be 15, only to discover that the croissants hadn't even met the oven yet. It's a bakery, guys. The whole point is the baked goods, ideally ready when the doors open. Unless their business model is "watch the dough rise in real time," I'd suggest they consider setting their alarms a little earlier. read more

As long as this bread store is in business, I will be eating white bread because it is bomb! They use no preservatives and it freezes amazingly well pull one slice out of the freezer put it in your bra toaster and you have a miracle treat, but you have to use Irish gold butter and it's the best meal replacement when you do not want to cook!! I've tried all the bread stores locally as well as in other cities and I have to say I keep coming back to this one. If this bread store closes down I will no longer be eating white bread. And their dinner rolls are to die for it's better than your best Thanksgiving dinner rolls. One more thing, their pumpkin chocolate chip bread is off the charts. Their banana bread with chocolate chips is also a favorite. . If you come in early at 9:30 in the morning, you'll see a long line stretching inside the bread store as well as outside the bread store for some TikTok crème brûlée pinwheel that people go crazy for in fact, you can sit in the parking lot and watch people get out of their cars and run into the store to get in line. It's a craze. The Public loves their pinwheels. Also, you may notice the online orders that they're working very fast to feel and you'll see bags of orders covering the back counter. All of this screams that this business is doing something very right!!! The Public anyone that knows knows this is the place to go. We love Rise Up Bakery. Today I just tried. I got the chocolate croissant why because the person in front of me ordered the chocolate croissant and I thought OK it's a must try. I was filming content at my coworker's house and he was telling me about this place's snickerdoodle cookies were by far the greatest thing he's ever eaten. He demanded we eat here for lunch and get some snickerdoodles as well lol. I was skeptical because, while I do like cinnamon, it's not my first flavor choice. We called in to order (2024 and you can't order online? Seriously?). I got a turkey sandwich and he got a California club sandwich (also several orders of snickerdoodles). The sandwich was tasty. The turkey didn't taste too much like something you'd get out of a Tupperware container at the grocery store. The bread, however, wasn't anything special. It was just a plain roll. For being a bakery, you'd have thought they'd have several bread options. Alas, they really only had like three (I chose the sub roll). They have packaged bread loaves you can buy, but I guess the variety doesn't translate to what you can get for sandwiches. I did appreciate the big ripe tomatoes though. The snickerdoodle cookies were tasty. They were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They also were about the diameter of Crumbl cookies, just nowhere near the thickness. My favorite bakery on east side of town. The staff are very nice and cheerful. My go to items are the Overachiever cookies - omg. I could eat these all day. It's a chocolate chip cookie but with a hint of coconut goodness. Don't forget the cinnamon rolls! Super fluffy and chewy. I haven't tried any of the sandwiches but that's definitely on my list. My wife had some rolls brought to work and thought I should check this spot out. Upon arriving, there is a good variety of baked goods to choose from. I selected almond croissant, a lemon croissant pinwheel, a chocolate croissant pinwheel, and a loaf of apple cinnamon bread. The almond croissant was dry with little filling. The pinwheels are hard and "ok" flavor wise. The bread is solid. However, the prices for all of these are very high. I paid $38 for this and am left not very satisfied. They have one refrigerated case that contains cheesecakes, bars, and chocolate silk pie, while their window display has everything else - cinnamon rolls, croissants, cupcakes, cookies, etc. In my opinion, prices are on the fair to little pricey side, but if you like supporting small businesses, you may not mind. That said, for $6.50, I was not expecting a slice of the chocolate silk pie to be 1/8th of a whole pie! I'm used to seeing it be 1/6th for this price! Filling was smooth and had good chocolate flavor, but unfortunately the oreo crust was too soft and crumbly. Not to mention, the slice was smashed into this small plastic box. With an ample number of places that sell pies, I would skip this next time and stick with their cinnamon rolls. Those are tasty and worth the $5.50. Stopped in here for some coffee and a snack. I got the orange glazed cinnamon roll and a lemon bar. Both were very tasty I have to say! The cinnamon roll could have been cooked just a little longer as it was a little soggy for my liking. But I ate the top part instead. The lemon bar was perfect. Just enough lemon tart twang for my tongue. The lady at the counter was polite and helpful. Loved the inside seating area. Had vouchers, chairs and plenty of tables to choose from. Everything here at this bakery is amazing! The food is just delicious. The bread, the cookies the cinnamon rolls the specialty items. I can't say enough about how good the food is. It's always fresh every day and the service is top-notch. They go above and beyond to make sure your food is always packaged properly, and always with a smile on their face the store is always clean and very nice to sit and have a cuppa coffee and a cookie or a cinnamon roll. My girlfriends car wouldn't start in the parking lot and the woman inside allowed us to store the pastries until she got everything working to leave. That was very kind of them, they take care of you even after you've already made your purchase!! The berry cheesecake in the middle was my second favorite. The one I was given was kind of light on the icing so I asked if it was possible to get a little more icing on it. The girl said she'd have to charge me an extra $1.50 for any extra icing. First off just want to say WOW! First time there yesterday which was Saturday! I walked in and the line was about 10 deep, I almost walked out but said hey we drove all this way. Even if those croissant wheels were just about sold out I said a cinnamon roll and coffee cake would work! As I got closer to make my order she brought out a few more croissant wheels and I got the one I wanted. The Crème Brûlée wheel ! Let's me say it was super amazing. The outside was gorgeous- looking real nice with the torched sugar on the outside and pastry cream on the inside. So delicious. They do not skimp on the ingredients! You know they use fresh eggs, real sugar, real butter real vanilla beans. That's why they are pricey. That's the way it should be quality over everything! Got the apple croissant coffee cake. That was pretty amazing. Tasted everything in it. The apple the croissant the topping. Just deliciousness ! The last item we got was the blueberry cinnamon roll. No cinnamon but this lovely lemon flavor mixed with the blue berry half mash. OMG. Micro it for a few seconds and it's even more luscious !! Hats off to the team at Rise Up. Love to stop in here for treats and cinnamon rolls. They have a big selection and although it's a small-ish place, there's seating outdoors and a large bakery counter with window view of the foods. The brownies and cinnamon rolls run between $4-6 each so it can get pricey (we got 3 items for $16) but the quality is great and they're large portions. Service was quick and efficient and we love to take people here when they visit. read more

Chill and welcoming environment where you can enjoy your pastries and catch up with a friend. Their menu changes with the season and they always do special desserts that really impress for all the major holidays and celebrations. They do delicious challah break on Friday and Saturday. I also love their sandwiches especially their turkey sandwich (pro tip: order ahead on the website). Staff is friendly and always open to answering questions. Yes it is a bit pricy but you are supporting a small family owned business and paying for fresh ingredients so in my book it is worth it. There's plenty of parking available in the lot and a few other restaurants and several different businesses within the plaza. They have some seating indoor and outdoor. The place is very quaint. They have all your typical bakery items like cookies, cupcakes, mini cakes, bread, etc. They are known for their rolls!! They have traditional cinnamon rolls and also lots of other variations like blueberry lemon, orange, and more! My favorite thing to get from them are their breads, sweet breads like zucchini and banana bread as well as sliced loaf breads that are great for toast or making French toast. They also have a punch card so you can get a free bread for every 10 that you buy. If you're ever in the area for lunch they have also make really good cold sandwiches! The portions are good for the price especially if you combo it to get a side and a drink! The only thing is they don't offer any sugar-free/diet drinks here. I was craving something sweet this morning so I did a quick search to see has GF treats. I found that Rise Up has GF options so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and the smell of baking bread was amazing (even though I can't eat any of it). I also noticed how cute the place is. It looks like a nice place to sit and enjoy a good conversation. They ended up having a gf vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing. It was mediocre. The icing was incredibly sweet. I actually ended up taking it off the cupcake. The cupcake was also cold, like it had been taken out of the freezer and wasn't completely done thawing yet. I wish I could eat gluten because I would love to try some of their other options however, I cannot so their other options are not an option for me. Rise Up is perfection all the way around! They have a wide selection of bakery items and they're all delicious. Breads and rolls, pastries to cake, there is so much available to experience, BUT you must get a cinnamon roll when you go. I'm partial to the classic but they have all types of fun flavors like orange, maple bacon, and pecan. The cookies are amazing too! They started serving salads and sandwiches this year, which has been a wonderful addition. They make it very easy to place an order online (highly recommend ordering this way versus placing an order in person!). Wish I had read reviews before going. After watching social media posts I was excited to try some of the baked goods. I even made a trip early on a Sunday, just to find they are closed. Followed up the next week and arrived early so I would be assured to get what I came for. What a disappointment, not all items are available when they open, some don't hit the shelf until 9:00am or even 9:30, so sad. I asked about the price and I was given a receipt and told that was the price. i really like their breads and will purchase again. When it first opened years ago, I was excited. It was super close to my home and who doesn't love a good bakery? However, I wasn't as in love with the products as I'd hoped. They weren't fresh at all; very dry, stale. Basically just crumbled when removing the wrapper, even the frosting on a few looked like it was smashed. For $4.50 a cupcake, I was quite disappointed in the product. Probably won't be back and wouldn't recommend. Was so hoping that my experience would be better here as it was when I've come in the past. We got a chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter brownie, and a Carmelita. The store itself was clean and just so cute. All of their items were displayed perfectly and all looked delicious. The cashier was nice as well. The cookie was good. It was soft and has a really nice flavor - this is why I'm giving this place a three star review. The brownie was lacking SO much flavor and was so disappointing! It wasn't good at all. The Carmelita was hard and burnt on the edges. The chocolate in the middle was hard and it simply just wasn't good. We paid $10 for all three goodies and were disappointed with 2 out of the 3.
