She is thorough and gives a substantial amount of time to the patient. She asks the right kind of questions and makes recommendations quickly and her office gets the ball rolling--no wait and no anxiety. If you are worried about your kid's GI issues and have been frustrated with the unavailability of elite doctors at Sutter or Stanford and LPCH, don't wait-- get your kiddos to see Dr. Jeiven and you will be happy that you did that. I do not understand why the Bay Area has so many overworked and unavailable pediatric specialty doctors who do not care about the urgency of their patients' issues. Dr. Jeiven is not at all like that. While I am sure she's super busy too! But once you make an appointment, she gives her 100% attention to solve the problem. My experience with Dr. Yi Zheng was very disappointing…read more Appointments were always late and often felt rushed. Every appointment was late, including my first visit. (more than 30 minutes late with no apology) Follow-up care was also lacking. My ultrasound results (which included medical terms I did not fully understand) were posted on the patient portal by the ultrasound provider, but Dr. Yi Zheng did not add any explanation, comments, or follow-up to help interpret the results. My endoscopy appointment was also delayed, and afterward I was not given an explanation of what was done or any immediate post-procedure discussion. Another phone appointment was automatically scheduled without discussing it with me first, and again the doctor joined the call more than 30 minutes late. The conversation lasted only a few minutes and felt rushed. In contrast, my previous gastroenterologist would speak with me before and after procedures and provide results directly through the patient portal, without needing additional billing phone visits for basic follow-up. Communication through the Tebra patient portal was also an issue, as I did not receive a response when I requested assistance and asked about changing a provider for a gastric emptying study. When I contacted the office, staff were unable to confirm whether messages are regularly reviewed by the doctor. Overall, this was one of the most unsatisfactory experiences I have had with a medical provider in terms of communication, follow-through, and coordination of care. I would not recommend this provider.

He will approach your case like a seasoned detective and may discover findings your previous physician or GI doc did not. This was the case for me. 2. He may get you off of harmful acid-reducing medications. There are a lot of side-effects to reflux meds, particularly PPIs, and Dr. Tsai recognizes this problem. Most doctors will just throw PPIs at you for years, never do a thorough work-up and you may even still be symptomatic! Dr. Tsai is more solution oriented. He is a surgeon of course and this is his paradigm, but sometimes surgery is the most practical solution. 3. Bedside manner. Dr. Tsai is a doctor who educates and I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. He is also a doctor who cares and takes time to explain things. His staff is great, too!

Due to severe pain and dehydration, I was admitted to John Muir ER instead this time. Dr Chin did not waste anytime and started series diagnostics tests. The complex ERCP procedure was done nicely. It not only removed bile duct stones but also prevent future issues under bile duct. I would say Dr Chin is the best GI doctors I have had so far and would highly recommend him if you are looking for GI doctor. I also visited the office today. I was scheduled for late May at the Concord Surgery Center. This was my 2nd colonoscopy. The first was after I turned 50. The staff at the surgery center was kind and humorous (I needed that). The anesthesiologist, Dr. Kim, was prompt, all business and effective. Dr. Fang was GREAT. Both during the initial consult and during the procedure. His follow-up appointment was short and to the point. Dr Fang and his entire team were fabulous. I appreciate each and every one of them and I would recommend them for a similar procedure!
