We were having dinner with my girlfriend last month and we were looking for a new restaurant to try. We love Indian food and one of my friends is Chilean and mentioned that the same restaurant he used to go to in Chile has just opened in Miami! We made a reservation at 7.30 pm and it was a weekday so when we got there it was pretty empty. The restaurant is so beautiful! It really transports you somewhere to another place but Miami. We sat and our server came right away to introduce himself and offered us water. For drinks, my two friends ordered some wine and I ordered one of their mocktails and it was amazing! Kamasutrq, a perfect blend of passion fruit, ginger, and rose soda, is so refreshing! For appetizers, we ordered the Samosas, which one order has 3 of them. They were delicious! Amazing filling and the dough, the dough was beautifully made and fried to perfection. It wasn't even greasy! For our main entrees, I ordered the Bhindi Masala, if you love okra, this is the one for you, so good!!! My friends shared the Butter Chicken and Chicken Masala and they loved both of them. None of those came with rice so you have to order the rice and of course naan. We ordered the original one and the garlic one. Everything was so filling but you couldn't stop eating. Sunday lunch with family - Food was very tasty. Especially the tadka dal and mushrooms. Cauliflower was ok. Saag paneer was good as well. Portions were adequate. This restaurant is clearly geared towards non Indians. They simply have different pasty gravies and simply add the boiled meat in it. There is no good old marinating the meat to get the eat effect. The server/ waiter was not interested in anything. The pakoras were terrible. The chef forgot to add salt. Clearly the restaurant is in a trendy place and people who are tourists will go here. But they can never get regular customers if the food quality is mediocre. However the nan breads were excellent. The lady who checks in the customers was very kind and professional. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had! The paneer tikka masala was especially delicious. It was so good we ordered another one for the table to share. Don't be afraid to order it extra spicy; it tastes better that way! Everything was extremely flavorful. Loved the variety in the menu. The portions are smaller than most places, but appropriate. Usually when I eat Indian, I wind up bringing home a plastic quart full of leftovers (that usually sits in the fridge for too long and then eventually winds up in the trash). I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were able to finish everything in one sitting and feel satisfied. The restaurant is beautiful. The ceiling is covered in patterned, fabric light fixtures. It's very cozy and colorful! To be honest, the service wasn't great. Our waiter was a bit short with us at times and he didn't seem to understand the menu. Also, they forgot to keep a table reserved for us (we booked on OpenTable). Still, they were able to seat us pretty quickly. We were not bothered by the poor service too much because when we go out, it's all about the quality of the food. Wynwood absolutely needed a good Indian spot! What can I say, I was so peasantry surprised with this new place. The minute you walk in you are impressed and delighted at the beautiful decor and ambiance. I thought it was such a cute touch that the servers offer all the ladies dining a Bindi upon sitting. The food was delicious and the naan was perfectly crispy. Great portions too. I loved every single thing we ordered, including my drink. Went here for dinner last night. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food, however the 1 star review comes from this specific scenario: We ordered 2 glasses of champagne Brut rose off the regular menu, which states $8 per glass. The server gave us the check at the end of the meal on a hand held, which we then paid. We looked at the paper receipt after, which was underneath the hand held after and noticed we were charged $32 for 2 glasses. We called over the server to ask about the discrepancy and he said "oh well there's a mistake on the menu". He did not offer to refund us or provide another glass which was a vibe breaker. Upon ordering he could have mentioned the menu price was wrong, but nothing was done to make up for it. Unfortunately we will not return due to the lack of integrity. read more

Came here with some friends while in town for the weekend and it was phenomenal! First of all the ambiance and decor are beautiful, warm, and inviting. The hostess taught us a little about the Indian culture and was very nice. Our waiter Stanley was informative and made sure we enjoyed everything. They had tea light dishes to keep the food warm while we ate and it was all delicious! You can choose your spice level as well which was perfect because we had one friend in our party trying Indian food for the first time. She loved it! This is a beautiful restaurant with picture-worthy and colorful decor. They immerse guests into the Indian culture by having their staff wear Indian clothing, offering female guests a bindi, and greeting guests by saying Namaste. They even have printed instructions on how to eat naan for guests who may be new to Indian food. The food is flavorful and they have plenty of options including pakora, shahi paneer, dal tadka, and various types of naan. Their mocktails were all amazing, we specifically tried the Karma-sutra which was passion fruit flavor. Portions are small for the price and there is a LONG wait time once you order. The Good: the sauces of all of the different dishes we ordered really did have great flavor. The Bad: Not enough waitstaff so there is quite a bit of waiting for your food and you need to remind them multiple times of things they forgot to bring from your order. Unlike every other Indian restaurant I have been to the rice is NOT included. You have to pay $4 extra on top of the not-that-cheap dishes. The food came out cold. The Naan portions are very small. You order food spicy and it comes to you with ZERO spice then you ask for some to add to your place and they charge you $2.50 for a thimble of Sriracha. The drinks have ZERO alcohol and, you guessed it, they are not cheap. The lamb cuts have a TON of fat and we're tough, meaning they had not been cooked long enough to soften them up. They really could clean up the meet a bit. Go with the chicken to avoid this if you go. The Ugly: they tack on TWENTY PERCENT tip to your order automatically with no option of reducing it on the machine, only ADDING MORE. Pure robbery. This tipping crap has crossed the line. Summary: another Wynwood tourist trap that is not worth visiting. Never going back. read more

Not a very friendly welcome and waiter appeared to be angry the food is good but extremely OVER PRICED the eggplant fish was 3 eggplants each the size of a plum. $22? The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the food was delicious and the decor is beautiful. However, the service was awful to the point we will not return here. I 1000% do not recommend coming here with a large group. The restaurant was not full but they were still not able to manage a group of 14. The updtairs AC does not work well and was hot. They were completely disorganized and seemed incompetent. To start it took 30 minutes to order drinks. The waiter could not properly explain the drink menu and made it even more confusing. The do not have a full bar but offer "pre-mixed cocktails". His explanation was they are wine based but the menu clearly included spirits such as tequila, rum and vodka. We risked it and ordered anyway, and boy was that a mistake. My caipiroska tasted like lemonade and most of the cocktails went unfinished. My recommendation don't order them as your will be disappointed. To make matters worse it took over 40 minutes to deliver them to the table. We ordered bottles of wine which took just as long. We had to request a bucket of ice to keep it cold since the simply left the bottle on the table. Simple things such as refilling water, bring ice and clearing plates required getting up to speak with the manager and even then service only marginally improved. The food even though it was ordered together was not brought to the table together. Main plates came without rice or Naan and it took another 30 minutes to correct. They kept getting tables confused and brought out incorrect dishes. In an attempt to provide service recovery they provided free dessert which was just ok. I would have much rather have received better service. Closing out was another ordeal. While I appreciate they tried to split check (not my idea) they struggled to use the POS and took another 20 minutes and could only do 4 at a time. 20% tip is already included but in my opinion it was not earned or deserved. My advice to management - improve your processes. If you don't know how to properly split check require 1 person to pay or limit the number of check. Spend more time training your staff or hire better people. This is truly a shame because the food with better service has the potential to be a great dining experience and hope they can fix these issues. read more

Food was VERY good. The only reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 was the service was pretty inept... not rude, just inept. As of 4/1/23 the do NOT have a liquor license. Something that would have been good to clearly disclose to customers at booking, and perhaps help facilitate byob. I had the basics... samosas, tikka masala, butter chicken, aloo gobi, rice and naan. All were really good!!! Best Indian I have had in Miami for sure. I look forward to trying again when they hopefully work out the kinks. read more

Good food great people ambience but They really need to hire staff that is trained in hospitality and understand what a reservation Means. Long queues of people with open table reservations were waiting for one hour or more and they let walk ins go by inside based on availability of table size. It was a chaos / hope the owners fix this soon enough to maintain the situation. They were very nice later and gave free desserts to everyone but the damage was done. Many just walked out of frustration and many were allowed to sit on tables for 4 hours. Everyone looked confused. read more

Very new chic modern Indian in Wynwood. Went to celebrate a special family birthday. This is very new as recently opened a few weeks in when we booked, so they are still figuring things out and upstairs was still under construction. We started with the jheenga koliwada, 3 fried shrimp to the appetizer. For mains, we ordered the goa machi (fish) curry and ancoori khumb aur matar (mushrooms with peas). We ordered tandoori kulcha and one came to the table burned so we sent it back and they brought us another one. We also ordered rice and yogurt as you have to order everything separately. The portions are very small and the prices are quite high. The food was tasty. The decor is very pretty. They auto included 20% service charge as we were a table of 4, guess it's become the norm in Miami? We had to ask for the water bowls to wash our hands but it was strange as they give you a large bowl for the table, not sure how sanitary that option is but it had us laughing so all in all, good flavors, good meal but they definitely need to figure out their issues as they are too new. read more
