Reviewing in relativity to Chinese Fast Food in General. I want to start off by saying, I have NEVER seen a takeout box so packed before. If you make a cup of rice on the side, it easily becomes two very stuffing meals. Staff is as friendly as can be for a place like this. Price is very cheap with additional discounts to college students. Definitely my favorite Chinese Fast Food of all time. My only wish is that they would stay open later than 9pm. read more

these folks have everyone posting positive reviews only because of the quantity of food they serve. i had the greaaaaat pleasure of finding a nice well cooked cockroach in my chowmein. better believe i went down and returned my food and got a refund. i sure did call the health dept and after an inspection they too found cockroaches in the kitchen and behind their business license as well... i will never ever eat there again, and any chance i get to tell people about it i will. the guy at the register even tried to argue with me about my $25 refund. its a joke. do not let them continue to feed people this unsanitary mess. read more

Decent place to have a quick, time-saving meal. With student ID and coupons, this place would definitely "defeat" Panda Express if it is located closer to UCR. The only glitch is: sometimes the surface of tables is not wiped very clean, so you need to DIY. I will sure come back to have my meal(s) here~. read more

The chicken is cooked to perfection, succulent in texture, and juicier than the next episode of gossip girl. If you are ever in riverside and need something quick to eat, save yourself the hassle of deciding where to go and just go to rising savor. It's better than Panda Express, it's better than pick up stix, hell.. it's even better than din tai fung. Decent fast food warming tray type Chinese food. Huge portions so it's a good value. A coworker got the teriyaki chicken and it's a whole chicken breast chopped up. I'll try that next time. If I could give no rating star I would, this place has gone through so many owners over the years 10 to be exact that I would come here and the owners now as of 9/7/22 the lady that's always there is so rude! She always has a hat on with hair ina ponytail and wears glasses I've came in the past 2 months and each time she's very rude with an attitude and has gotten my order wrong when I state I want a combo b and charges me for one item and gets mad when I ask where my second item is after stating the two items I wanted from beginning and still charges me for one and gets mad when I said I wanted two, then says she charged for one, the money ain't the issue I said what I said and wanted it's her fault for not paying attention the first time. Also EVERYTIME I come here I ask for cream cheese wontons and she always states "they sold out" EVERYTIME. They are never busy when I go and one time I did ask and they actually had them and they came out burnt the cream cheese was all thick and dry with a burnt crisp outside. That lady needs to be fired she always has issues with the customers I've gone and have been respectful every time and even other customers in there have complained while I'm in there cus she's jus so rude and gets stuff wrong. read more

This place is the definition of value!! For about $6.99 you get 2 sides and 1 entree (rice or noodles). They fill up the whole box and I believe they also offer student discount, if you mention it, which 10% off your order. I love getting the red BBQ pork, so juicy and tender. LOVE THIS PLACE! I am a "fat girl" and I know my food! The savory chicken is very good, but if you don't like spicy - don't eat it! I like mine extra spicy. Has good flavor and crunchy coating. The servers are always super nice when I go there. I call ahead for office lunches, they are ready to go when I get there and packaged correctly! Combo B is enough food for 2 people or 2 meals. Good as far as fast food Chinese in Riverside goes. They overstuff your takeout box, which is a definite plus. The last time I came here, my roommate and I shared Combo B, which was fried rice + chow mein and two entree for items. It came out to $6 with my UCR ID. It was practically a steal! I'm doing this review because this place deserves to be recognized for NOT being stingy with their servings. Oh and their food is good and fresh, mostly every time I go there is a line, so the chef has good demand. I recommend their savory spicy chicken and chicken egg rolls, their item selection is very good as well. The only down side is their eating area needs to be managed better as far as keeping it clean, 4 stars for everything else. read more

This place used to be really good before they changed ownership a few years back. Ever since new ownership took over the first 2 times we tried I got sick.. We didn't eat there often so my husband thought maybe just bad timing I was already not feeling good but no the 3rd time I got sick again I knew it was here. The last visit was a couple weeks ago I grabbed food for a coworker and myself.. the Fried rice was yellow and dry it was gross. I got the orange chicken and it wasn't good either. my coworker got beef broccoli and after 1 bite couldn't finish it. Everything lacked flavor. and to top it off we BOTH ended up sick!! So I unfortunately will not be back which saddens me I grew up in the area and this was our Chinese spot... And I have tried numerous other places and nothing ever compare to what this place used to be like before ownership changed. :( read more

My first bad experience here!!! I always order the cho fun party tray and I always ask for sweet and sour sauce to go with it. It's a party tray! So every time I order this they worked ALWAYS gives me a small cup to go with my PARTY TRAY cho fun. But today I went to pick up my party tray and a different worker was working and wouldn't give me sweet and sour sauce with my order. She kept telling me "no you have to pay for it. It's not free." I informed her I am a regular customer that always orders a party tray and the owner gives me sweet and sour sauce. She kept arguing with me and then a different worker came over and said he can give me half of a cup. Like excuse me people it's a huge party tray! We want sweet and sour sauce to go with our cho fun. We dont eat it bland! Very disappointing with my experience here. My first bad experience. The workers here are so inconsistent! One says yes the other no one day. And then they can't get their dang college discount down. Some workers give the college discount and others say no. Like what the heck. Been going here for a lot of years and have noticed a significant decline in quality, service and cleanliness. Tonight was my last time. Flavorless dishes. Ordered some sweet and sour chicken on the side. They tried to put it in one of our combo containers. We told them not to but the staff was argumentative. The chicken was non existent, all fried breading, no onion, no pineapple, nothing. We threw it away when we got home. The rest of our meals followed. I expect this place to be out of business soon. Great value on food in terms of portion sizes. Food tastes pretty good for cheap Chinese takeout. I like to get Combo C because you get so much for so little, especially if you include the student discount. Just try not to go too late, because some of the food options might run out and they won't be making more after a certain time. read more

This used to be my go to place for steam table fast Chinese food, that is until they got new owners. The recipe for their signature Savory Chicken was changed and it is not even close to being as good as the previous recipe. The egg foo yung has also been changed to the more traditional patty style, instead of the fried ball. However, they don't have traditional egg foo yung sauce for it, instead they offer teriyaki sauce, YUCK! Now, after 15-years, I am in search of a replacement go to Chinese restaurant. read more
