Cream cheese won ton, beef with broccoli, chow mein and vegetable egg roll.
    Kell C.

This was an interesting experience. First, the staff is SUPER friendly! It's an average Chinese fast food place but while I was waiting and looking around, I noticed they could use some remodeling and fresh paint. I ordered a combo with chow mein only, egg roles, and beef with broccoli, then a side of cream cheese won tons. The wontons were made fresh and had good flavor but a bit too much onion. They were sweet and had crab but the onions were a bit overwhelming. But they were fresh and stuffed to the brim which I appreciate. The chow mein was the most interesting. They were literally bright orange noodles and were sweet as if they were sweet potato noodles. So weird. Not many veggies in the noodles. I had one big chunk of celery and one big onion slice. The beef with broccoli looked good but it was SOOOOOO salty and really tough to chew. Unfortunately I won't be back but I do appreciate the kindness of the staff.

There's a stereotype among chinese takeout restaurants, where 3.5 is the sweet spot you should look for to determine if a restaurant is good. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food with cheap yet huge portions, you've stumbled across the right place. Not only does the restaurant pass the 3.5 stars test, the portions they give out are generous and the food always tastes good. Upon trying their bbq pork for the first time, I was amazed at how well it was cooked and kept thinking about how much I paid. The pork had an intense yet satisfying smokey flavor and was super tender. The orange chicken (although in recent years I've gotten tired of the dish itself) was great and way better than anything I've got in the area. I also got the pineapple shrimp, which fulfilled my craving for honey walnut shrimp (which I am a huge fan of). In terms of the restaurant itself, the service is pretty good. The ladies working always stuff the take out boxes and are usually pretty friendly. Rising Savor has to be my top choice for cheap and filling food around the Riverside area. No other Chinese restaurant has portions this large, had their food this good, and has their prices this low.

Heard so many good things about this place and was excited to finally go there and try it for the first time! Everything was perfect and what you would expect from a typical Chinese take out. You know the food gonna be good when it looks slightly run down from the outside and especially if there is a line of people. The moment I walked in I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. All the options looked so good and fresh. I got half lo mein with the mixed vegetables and orange chicken, bbq pork, and pepper chicken. The owner(s) we're also very friendly and kind, felt like I was visiting family. ! Will definitely be coming back here :)

You get a great portion enough for 2 meals for about $7-8 post tax. They have a great selection of food that take you plenty of time to go through. The workers/owners were very nice and attentive. This all sounds like a win to me :) I got the Combo B with chow fun, jalapeño chicken, and the bbq pork. The jalapeño chicken was nice and hot and spicy, the bbq pork was savory and sweet with bits of the caramelization melting in your mouth, and lastly the chow fun did it's job and swept up all the sauce in the end

Our entire family grieved the loss of one of the best dim sum and Chinese cuisine restaurants in the Riverside area. But lately, there was a lot of talk, good talk, that the same owner had reopened here, a tinier bistro setting, not as flashy interior. So here we are, finally, late to the party, but sublimely happy. First things first. An order of their siu mai. Still just as plump, with their signature, wonderful pork- shrimp filling, my taste buds let out a big sigh of relief. I've had to endure some pretty horrible ones from other restaurants lately. Big Skyy's is superb. Next, the black bean pork ribs. Wonderful, just as we remembered. A healthy portion, plenty of meat in spite of the bones. Great gravy. Finally, the eggplant with beef. This one was extra special, made with generous amounts of filet mignon, eggplant cut in spears, cooked in a salty sweet garlic sauce that is very special. It was melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy. One of my favorites. They still accommodate large family groups, a few big round tables for 6 or more. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They feature the same marvelous menu and the same chef who creates those traditional Chinese dishes with pizzazz. It's wonderful to re-acquaint ourselves with an old "friend". It's even better to know, the important things we remembered have not changed a bit. You would be right to assume we will be back!

The restaurant itself is super spacious, and since we came at kind of an odd time after the lunch rush, it was really calm and relaxing inside. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and it was really good. The calamari was crispy, lightly seasoned, and still tender inside, which made it super satisfying to eat. I do wish it came with a dipping sauce, but we already had sweet and sour sauce on the table and ended up using that instead, which actually paired really well with it. We also got the Chicken Pad Thai, which honestly impressed me a lot. The portion size was huge for the price, I think it was around $12-13, which felt really worth it for how much food we got. The noodles were flavorful, well cooked, and had a good balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors without feeling too heavy. The people working there were really welcoming and kind, and it felt like a family-run restaurant, which made the experience feel even more comforting and homey.

Arrived around 1:15 pm and there was a long line so for me, this is an either a good sign or people are just hungry and there's no other choice. Signed up on their waiting list and waiting for about 30 mins before we got a table. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND!! This is what we ordered: 1. XLB - 10/10 - freshly made, soup was very tasty, the filling was very flavorful. It gave DTF a run for their money. No need for ginger. Dip this in some chili oil and soy sauce and you're in for a treat! 2. Pork shiumai - 6/10 - it was good but not the best I've had. My least fave. 3. Schezuan eggplant - 11/10 - the best schezuan eggplant dish I've had. Fresh off from the wok so be careful eating this coz it is temperature hot. The flavor was full of umami, sweet, salty, and that sauce is heavenly!! 4. Cucumber salad - 10/10. Love the crispiness and garlic flavor of this app. Liked the addition of cilantro. 5. Garlic string beans - another 11/10 - it was a full plate of this all time fave of ours. Cooked to perfection!! Again a little touch of some salted black beans that added more umami flavor. 6. Dan Dan noodles - 10/10 - I'm a big fan of DD noodles and this was delish!! Love the freshness of the noodles and right balance of ground meat and flavor was spot on!! 7. House special chicken wings - 10/10. crispy, sweet, little tangy and BOMB! Lots of parking it's in a strip mall!! This place is legit! Service was great. Will definitely come back and try their other food!!

No, instead I asked ppl who were waiting in line "am I supposed to write my own name? After waiting and nobody acknowledging me for a good while. Their response was "we did" There was an empty seat that I could've just sat at because I went by myself and started eating sooner but because their lack of acknowledgment I waited 15 mins ... I really wanted to hope for the best that's why I waited. Then after being told to sit where I knew I'd sit, then my server was kind, but took a while to check up to see if I needed anything (I'm a sauce girl so I ask for eel and chili sauce at any restaurant that has it) instead I asked another server because mine was no where to be seen. Now, the food..... the tempura was delicious but for the price wtf is 3 pieces...????? Like EXCUSE ME???? 12 bucks and 3 pieces? Come the f on - You have a huge restaurant I'm sure you can afford one or two more pieces - okay those were good - probably my favorite thing I got. I got a fruity iced tea that was good x Now the dumplingsssss BRUH I got the beef and onion because I asked what were the best dumplings. They tasted like Trader Joe's dumplings man, I've made better dumplings at my home reheating them. I give the dumplings 4/10 with eel and chili oil and paste I give them a 6... but really good dumplings shouldn't need all of that. Needless to say, I happily won't be making the out of the way trip for this place ever again. With how busy and popular this place is online I guess I had expected better. Anyways if you want dumplings better than this get some at Trader Joe's cook them lightly on water with eel sauce to make a nice broth or used chicken / beef broth to heat them up. Youll save yourself the $50 of going out and waiting on yourself and disappointing dumplings.

It was not too loud in there and the place was relatively empty so that was nice. Biggest disappointment was service, because our table ordered chow mein and the waiter brought us chow fun (flat noodles with gravy). When we told him that we ordered chow mein, he told us that what we ordered was chow fun, so I showed him what we ordered on the menu and he said "you wanted lo mein". While I get that, he spent a minute trying to figure out where the item was and couldn't find it. I reviewed pics on here and it seems like other people got the thick yellow noodles for chow mein. Anyway, they replaced it for us but I overheard the waiter tell his manager that we ordered chow fun by accident. The manager then told us something about "our mistake" upon paying, placing blame on us . The manager was nice about it, but we repeatedly told the waiter chow mein and he kept correcting us to chow fun. Also, there is a section of the menu labeled chow mein and a separate page labeled chow fun. I think I know what we ordered. Disappointing.
