Still give this place 5 out of 5! Everything was delicious, tasty fresh sushi. My husband got the premium hibachi with filet mignon, chicken spicy noodles, fried rice and veggies. The meat was tender, so flavored. I ordered fancy sushi roll and it had spicy crab ontop with fried tempura shrimp with tuna and salmon oh my, delicious! I recommend! We also tried the aguachiles tuna and torched salmon.my husband loved the torched tuna. Service was awesome! Hardly anyone else pry two tables it was a tuesday so good gor us, nice view. Ambiance was fun, g good was fresh i highly recommend i will be back. We also ordered watermelon Martini and cucumber Martini both good, cucumber had tajin on the rim it was good! My husband really enjoyed his watermelon Martini it was very refreshing .

We love coming here for a nice Hibachi and Sushi date! The vibes are always so fun in here and I love the Japanese Cherry Blossom trees that give so much life to the place! Our server, Maddy was SUPER helpful in answering our questions and had wonderful suggestions about which foods to try! Their Miso Soup and salad were soooo delicious! My boyfriend got the chicken and shrimp hibachi with steamed rice and I tried out the AMP Roll. Both were really flavorful and super delicious!! The service was pretty fast (it wasn't super busy) and everyone was helping out to make sure we had refills and all our empty plates were picked up! As a tip, there's a nice parking garage on the backside of this restaurant which makes for a great place to park, especially if you plan on walking around downtown!

    Sapporo on draft

Although it wasn't the typical Teppenyaki experience, I did get to see the chef actually cook my meats which was awesome. The Sapporo was spot on! I ordered a combination of hibachi meats including steak, chicken, shrimp, and fried rice with noodles. The meats were cooked fresh, but the deduction of stars came from the stale vegetables and fried rice that was made in advance. For how much I am paying for my meal, all the food should be prepared fresh/when ordered. The noodles were terrible and honestly if I had to do it all over again, I'd ask them to not include the soy sauce drowned noodles.

2 years later and I tried this place again... I so wish I could give them a better rating, but when my sushi has hard pieces of rice in it and I have to ask the server for Srirach not one, not two, but three times. And it's not busy in the restaurant. Then think I just don't need to come here again. Additionally, I don't understand why this place is adding a 3% surcharge instead of just raising the prices on their items. Anyways, with that 3% surcharge I don't think that I will be coming back for this type of service and food.

Guest service is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to eat it's very relaxing no loud music very mellow. And the food is exquisite. We tried the AMP roll and the dragon roll. Both were delicious definitely will be coming back.

The food was delicious. We ordered hibachi dinner and rolls. La Nina roll was spicy yet delicious. The philly and cali rolls were also popular with kids. The lychee martini was amazing! Sweet and amazing! They were kinda late bringing out one of the food items. We had to remind them to bring it out. Everyone was fill by the time the food item came out which was kinda sad but its okay. Parking can be limited as it is in downtown riverside and there was a fair. The parking structure nearby had a flat rate which seemed high for someone not spending the day there.

La Niña Roll - love the flavor that comes through from the just the slightest bit of char given to the torched fish on top

It's a pretty quiet lunch spot right in downtown. My husband and I have stopped in here a couple of times now, during the week, for lunch. The service and food have both been so good! We've been greeted at the door by friendly staff, it hasn't been too busy, and we're able to sit where we'd like. They take our order right away, the food comes out quickly, and it's all been excellent. Both times we've order an app or two, and 2-3 rolls. Everything is beautifully presented and we've loved all of the flavor combinations. It's not the least expensive sushi spot, but it's worth it.

Been here a few times while walking around downtown. It's right on the Main Street corner location with intimate indoor seating or large wrap around patio. On this visit we dined Al fresco on a the sunny day with crisp bite of chill from the snow capped mountains afar. Even though you're right on the sidewalk there's a decorative partition without blocking your view. Enjoying our apps to keep us satisfied. The poke nachos are shareable, sushi bombs were satisfactory. Classic familiar flavors with that packed ping of heat.

Not bad! We went here after walking the Festival of Lights (it's also a 5 minute walk from the Mission Inn) - we set our expectations low bc it is fusion after all. We all got the hibachi and doing the Fuego combo with steak was a LOT of food. We stuffed ourselves until we were waddling lol. Steak was tender, the dipping sauces were tasty, and they're open until 11:30pm!

Crab appetizer with no crab and skin or silver skin on the fish was not edible.
    Jorge V.

Terrible food terrible customer service. Ordered an cucumber and crab appetizer. It had no crab . Waitress said the chef forgot to put the crab. Ordered a roll with very light sauce on top the sauce being eel sauce and spicy mayo. It came to the table drenched in sauce. I did not accept the roll and asked for my bill which i thought would be the coke i had. No. It was $25 the coke and appetizer. When i told the waitress i wasn't paying for the appetizer that was not made right nor did i consume she said she couldn't take it off the bill. I asked to speak to manager and she said he isn't here. Lmao this place is a joke! Don't fall for it go elsewhere. Take note of the pictures showing the non edible silver skin on the fish. I wouldn't even give this place one star.

Service was extremely slow for it not being busy. They were a bit stingy on the lemon wedges and veggies. There were three of us and we ordered three bowls of Pho. We got one small plate of veggies and two lemon wedges. When we asked for more lemons, waiter looked over at our table to make sure we actually needed more lemons. When we asked for a sauce plate/cup, he looked bothered. Well next time just put little sauce plates on the table and we wouldn't have to ask you to get it. Like how do they not know people like to dip their meats in Siracha and Hoison sauce. Not everyone just pours it into the bowl. When we ordered our Pho, we also ordered a Banh Mi sandwich as a to go order. At the end of our meal, my wife went to pay and the check included the price with the sandwhich. She paid and asked how long the sandwich would take, they said, "what sandwich!" Uh, the one we just paid for. Cashier looked confused and asked to see the receipt. Then he went to the back and asked about the sandwich. We could hear someone in the back saying they didn't make a sandwich. Cashier apologized and we waited another 12 minutes for the sandwich. Pho was actually good but a bit on the pricey side. $20 for the Dac Biet. Next time we'll just go to Pho Ha down the street for better noodles at a cheaper price and they won't charge you for a sandwich that doesn't exist.

Parking situation may differ if you go in the middle of the day as it is in a plaza with a grocery store and other shops/restaurants. The restaurant is also on the smaller side in terms of seating so keep that in mind too if you go at a busier day/time. I ordered the beef noodle soup non-spicy. It's a very filling meal with good chunks of beef and a lot of noodles. I have a low spice tolerance, hence why I had to order it non-spicy, but I'm sure the spicy version is even better. Although the name of the shop is Cup Noodles, the noodles they use are definitely not as they are of better quality than you would get in an instant noodle cup. What stood out to me the most was how the egg in the noodle soup was cooked! It was fried and most of the yolk was cooked through expect for the very center which had a little pocket in the yolks that was a tiny bit runny. My friend also ordered a pepper fungus (woodear mushroom) for the table which was yummy and a good palette cleanser/flavor break while eating the noodles.

After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

That excitement ended the moment I looked down at my bowl and found a **MAGGOT sitting on top of my rice.** I called the restaurant immediately and calmly explained what happened.
