It is one unbelievably awesome resource for quality wood. I went there as recommended by a friend of mine to get some of my own slabs flattened, and it was like walking into a candy store. During the 53 minutes it took to flatten my 12 slabs, which was amazing in and of itself, I walked around the shop and discovered future projects through their extensive array of domestic and exotic wood products. There is so much to choose from and any discerning buyer will be certainly happy with the offerings. Planning to go here at least once a month to get my river tables flattened as well as pick up a new set of materials each time. Angela Was certainly hospitable and the gentleman who helped me out with my slabs were awesome.

Gary Robinson was particularly excellent in guiding us through what would work best in our home, including advising us that some of the home's floors could be maintained and restored. Gary had the quarter round delivered to our home, provided an outstanding installer who went to extra lengths to prepare the sub-flooring so that the final result would be flawless. The care along each step of the way is not something you can get from an impersonal box store. G & F is a local treasure for the Chester County/ Tri-State area. We had several problems working with Scott Loewenstein at Wholesale Cabinet Distributors. First, he…read moredid not want to drive to Virginia to deliver the cabinets, so we paid more to have them sent directly from the manufacturer. We live on a narrow street that is lined with public parking, and the cabinets arrived in a truck that was too large to fit down the street. I called Scott and asked him what he was going to do, and he told me he didn't know, it had never happened before. I was left to work out delivery options with the frustrated truck driver instead of with my salesperson, and delivery was delayed, thus delaying installation. Second, there were issues with the measurements. Scott's design included a corner cabinet that didn't fit through the kitchen door, even though he had the measurement of that opening. The contractor had to cut the cabinet to get it into the room, thus invalidating our warranty. The cabinet over the refrigerator also did not fit, it was too large for the space. When Scott was told, instead of offering to get us a smaller unit, he blamed our contractor, insisting that if we had hired competent workers, they would be able to cut a cabinet with full-overlay doors to fit a smaller space. The contractor had to cut the refrigerator panel, and the cabinet looks misaligned. Third, when the dust settled and we looked at the itemized list on our invoice, we realized that this Maryland business charged us Maryland State retail sales tax despite delivery and installation of the product in the Commonwealth of Virginia. When we called the Maryland Department of Taxation, we received confirmation that the charge was illegally made. Complaints via email, phone, certified mail, and via the Better Business Bureau were met with excuses, denials, and refusal to refund our money. Wholesale Cabinet Distributors changed their story several times telling us this charge was 1. a legitimate Maryland retail tax charge, 2. a handling charge, 3. a keying error, and finally 4. a legitimate Virginia retail tax charge. They then told told the BBB in writing that our complaint was a "non-issue" that had been resolved (Case# 36144762.) We are now having to pursue our refund via legal channels. You may have an excellent experience with this company. If you have a problem with Wholesale Cabinet Distributors, however, you can learn from our experience how it will be handled.

If you know or care about the difference between an MDF cabinet box with laminate doors and a plywood one with solid maple doors, you will appreciate this place. They have everything you need to finish a home on the interior and exterior. Doors, windows, siding, flooring, cabinets, tubs, on and on. There are some deals, some not. Know your prices headed in. Inventory varies and if their website has it, it may be for order, or only available when they randomly get stock. They are conscientious about what they have or don't if you call ahead, but were a little impatient with a longer list. Their website says "We pride ourselves on providing excellent sales and delivery services to the Cecil County, Harford County, northern Baltimore County, New Castle County, Delaware and Chester County, Pennsylvania areas," but they do not go as far as the PA counties mentioned, at least not for homeowner orders. So be local or be prepare to haul stuff home. Made a trip today but they didn't have what I needed in a price competitive with another liquidator, though they definitely had great deals compared to Depot, Lowe's and my supplier. Had I not known of my other source, I definitely would've still saved 40% on fiberglass entry doors, and about 15% on fiberglass patio doors. They also offer a much better selection than a home improvement box store.

He agreed to do it, set up an appointment 3 weeks in advance and told me he would be there between 9 and 10am. The morning of the appointment he calls 9am asks what we are doing today, which was a surprise. Then proceeds to have a problem with part of it. Then says he has to unload some stuff then take his wife to the store. I call him back at 10am, having not heard from him. He tells me then that his friend is stranded with an expired license and he needs to go get him. When asked when he would arrive at this point. His response was he did not know, maybe an hour, maybe two. I traveled an hour and a half to meet him at my mothers former home and had several things planned that day that were dependent upon getting this done. Rather than wait and have everyone else wait until an uncertain time 4 to 5 hours passed the promised arrival, I cancelled. This was the most weasel like business experience that I have had in many years. If you have a house full of stuff you want to pay him a bunch of money to take and you have total flexibility, he is probably a good choice. But if you need to depend on someone in a chain of events, you better look elsewhere. I sure will. I had to go back to the people I recommended him to and amend my recommendation. This man Jerry not only caused me to waste a day but 3 weeks of planning and part of other people's day. He did me a great disservice,
