This park is extremely well maintained and best of all, it is a stone's throw to the beach. Also, wifi and cable tv, bathrooms are very clean. No laundry on site but there is a laundromat a few minutes away in town that we used. (While there, treat yourself to some ice cream and a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad!) We had a super sweet, shaded spot (#53) that had its own fire pit, was private and blissfully quiet except for a bird or 2 singing. We started every morning and ended each day with a walk on the sand with our dog. The beach was never crowded due to private access! Not so little things like the trash being regularly emptied and the area kept remarkably tidy, as well as an always full dog bag dispenser was greatly appreciated!! We will absolutely return and are already planning when! Thank you for all the effort you put into making this a fantastic park to stay at!!

Checking in was interesting as there is no depot at the Gardibaldi station. You stand outside the stop and wait for the train to arrive. The ride was very slow perfect for little ones to see the views. A bit too slow for me. The history narration was insightful and not too lengthy. The train stopped at the Rockaway Depot and passengers had 30 minutes to peruse the shops or take a bathroom break. I wish I had thought to schedule the return trip for two hours later, as I would have liked more time to visit in Rockaway. Overall, a pleasant experience, but one I won't repeat at $36.00 (with fees) a ticket.

When we called their 24/7 emergency number we were told they would only speak with the agent that booked the travel and they refused to provide any help. It was 4am in the US at that time and we were stuck in another country with no contacts or assistance. In addition, the final hotel we were booked in was in utter disrepair. Ripped wallpaper, tattered curtains, stained carpets and dirty sheets. It was supposed to be a 4 star hotel but in reality was below a 1 star. It was pouring rain so we were unsure which cars other than the specifically noted enclosed car would be a good idea. Perhaps a picture along with each description would help. The staff was top notch. We rode along the beautiful Nehalem River for quite a long ways. At the turn around, you can get out and use the restroom (there are restrooms on the train too), while waiting about 15 minutes. Then they take you back. If you have small kids, bring something to entertain them. This is better for adults and older kids. They follow all the 'Covid' rules too if you are worried. The windows also open if you want some fresh air or to snap some pucs.
