It's a good pharmacy, I like coming to this rite aid it is nice and clean. Barely got renovated, thing that is the downfall about this store is the stock, they never have anything in stock can be expensive, I had to walk to tons to get batteries, which kind of was a bummer. The good: Shoutout to pharmacist Dana for giving the most painless flu vaccination I've ever received! She was efficient, polite and gentle! The vaccine felt almost like nothing. The counseling/flu shot room was also huge and private. Some pharmacies don't have a private room at all so this was a nice bonus. The parking lot here is spacious. All of the products here were well organized and clean. They had a great selection of wine and alcohol. I got 4 different eyebrow pencils/markers to try from here that were around $8 each. They do have an ice cream counter where you can get a scoop of ice cream on a cone. I had almost forgotten that Rite Aid was known for this until I saw this place's ice cream area. Some Rite Aids don't have this anymore! I wish they'd emphasize it and make it a cute vintage/old school and nostalgic nook of the store. The bad: There were several aisles here with empty shelves. The interior of the store doesn't look as nice as other stores because of their flooring or lack of carpet. The interesting: If you want to avoid a line when coming to the pharmacy for a flu shot or just for picking up your scripts consider coming at 7PM or after! This review is for the pharmacy. I arrived at the pharmacy at 1:26pm. A young lady asked for the pickup name and I gave it to her. As she was looking it up, she was interrupted by the pharmacist- the pharmacist looks at me and tells me "we close for lunch at 1:30pm". I said ok great I arrived before and was already being helped. I showed the text my prescription was ready and then the pharmacist told the girl to go on over lunch and took over. She quickly grabs the medication and tells me the dosage in a rush. I ask her if the medication has dyes because my son has sensitivities. She shows me it's pink and I said yes it has dyes. I asked her if I should talk to my doctor about changing it. She goes on to say no we don't carry that here. You'd have to go to a special pharmacy for that I said OK. Well, my son can't have anything with dyes. She rudely says we already mixed it for you need to take it and then asked why can't your son have the dyes. I give her an explanation, even though I didn't have to, and she goes on to say well your sons better off, not being sick and taking the medication. She was the rudest most unpleasant pharmacist I have ever dealt with. I never want to come here again. She shouldn't be dealing with the public if she's going to be so rude especially when she's dealing with parents who have sick children and I are just trying to ask questions and get help. I went back to this location ( only because I was with my Mom transferring her medication ). I popped my head in to see if they cleaned or made changes in the bathroom. Happy to stay they painted the door, changed the seat and cleaned up the floor. Much better! read more

I was very disappointed when I visited this pharmacy for an OTC cold remedy. The shelves were bare! What's the point of having a convenient, large drug store in town if they cannot maintain a basic inventory of OTC drugs? Now, when I don't feel all that great, I will have to drive to a Target, which I know will have what I need. When I asked the clerk, she said something about a very limited warehouse??? I'll be back for the Amazon pick-up service (I love that!), but I won't bother stopping here if I have a cold. read more

Smaller than the usual Rite Aids that I have frequented in the past. On the plus side, a smaller store means shorter wait times. Unfortunately l, a smaller store means fewer item selections, but living in a small town, you get what you get. read more

Stopped in last night to pick up some skin care products and they had just what I was looking for. Store was clean, well lit and with wide aisles. I browsed around a bit and was pleased with the overall selection of stuff and neat, organized presentation. No line when I visited so checkout was fast and the parking lot is always easy to find a space in. Very convenient location if you're in Fillmore. I'll stop here again. read more

Well that was awkward. I just bought some allergy meds over at the pharmacy because I sleep way better at night without my nose and sinus all clogged up (I live in the orchards and have many animals I'm allergic to). The pharmacist sounded confused by this, and began to explain to me that it contains a stimulant (which i already knew) and that METH is made from it. Her tone was rude, and as she said that the stimulant is why it's purchased to make METH- she says that the stimulant is why I was buying it from her-what the heck!? How rude! How amazingly rude. I feel victimized and stereotyped. Not a good experience. I understand it's their job to keep their eyes open for possible abusers but what an unfriendly tone and way to go about selling it to me. I seriously don't understand how underrated this place is! Although I've never went to the restrooms here and I've only seen the shopping area so far, the things I HAVE seen are in excellent management. The staff are very nice and are quick to recognize customers and they provide a variety of things from beauty and cosmetics to medication school supplies! Excellent, keep up the good work. read more

The store is cavernous with little inventory on the shelves. The ice cream counter is ALWAYS closed and when the manager feels like putting someone behind the counter to scoop some ice cream, the stuff looks like it melted and re-froze - YUCK! There is no compelling reason to shop here. In the same center, Vons carries everything but the prescription drugs. For Rx, visit the pharmacy in downtown Fillmore or drive 20 minutes to the new Walgreens in Moorpark. read more

I have been using this Rite Aid since we moved here for numerous reasons/items. I only recently started using the pharmacy due to insurance change. Last month I didn't get a notice saying my rx was filled. I just thought it was a doctor issue since I had an appointment, no big deal. I got a nasty phone call from Marlena(?) saying I needed to get that day or it was going back. Ok no problem but if you hate your job that much maybe make a career change? I found this forgivable and just moved on but I won't really be excited if she ever has to call again. read more

Stopped in on Wednesday 5/13 to pick up a few quick things knowing they are open until 10. Lights on, employees inside. Supposed to be open. Doors locked. Tough to sell things with locked doors because some lazy employees want to go home early. Management needs to step up in this place. It's a last resort as it is because the place is dirty and rundown. I mean, read the health department violations on this place. Multiple violations for unsanitary conditions... Had my meds called in. Waited an hour. Went in thinking they'd be ready. Wrong. They said they didn't have it and they'd be ready by the following day. I couldn't wait. I asked if I can transfer the prescription and then they changed their story to say they could give me the partial prescription. At this point, I took the offer being as I was sick. Waited. Waited. Waited a good 1/2 hour as the cashier kept attending people from the line. Finally got fed up and waited AGAIN in line to ask if it was ready to get greeted with, "Oh I think yours is ready." Ummm yea there are 4 people working behind the counter, I should have been the priority since I had been waiting the longest. Next time, definitely going somewhere else. Avoid this store at all cost. Called and spoke with manager about a passport photo and he said to come on in. When i arrived at the store the manager had no idea how to take a passport picture. Isn't this supposed to be a professional store? After about 10 minutes, he said he was going to make a phone call. 10 minutes after that he returned and said "I guess the camera is broken, plus when we got this camera no one showed us how to use it" what?
