I shop in this store or have delivery at least once a week. Sonia, Jane and the SM have always been fantastic! Are the prices to my liking always, no but does the store have any say? Also no. Looking at these reviews is wild! People upset about pain meds. People upset about prices. People upset about freaking donations to children's hospital? Seriously? If you feel guilty and feel the need to explain to a cashier that you donate 10%, that's on your own conscience. Imagine listening to that exact same thing 5 days a week while you're just trying to raise money to help kids. Sounds super fun! People upset about photos and have no concept of what copyright laws are for or the integrity it takes to turn down money because you won't break the law. But sure, rant and rave online and then point out that CVS was just fine breaking those laws. The store is always clean, organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. They are people just like everyone else and they're doing their best. Grow up. Life is crummy enough without dumping on a bunch of people that show up everyday to try and provide the best service they can. This location does not care about servicing the drive through pharmacy. I sat inline for 15 minutes, I was the second car, and no one came to the window. The driver in front of me had to ring the bell a second time. Finally, I backed out and had to walk in. Avoid the drive thru at all costs. Walk in if you want service. This is the third time I experienced the drive thru issue. This location needs more pharmacists and better attention to detail. read more

Top notch customer service. I literally left the CVS across the street due to horrible customer service and it was a complete 180. The clerk was incredibly sweet and nice. I continue to try because it's close and convenient but after today I don't think I can try anymore. Their wait times are ridiculous, their staff isn't awful but not the friendliest, like I said there's some sort of issue every time I go with my prescriptions, today they couldn't get their safe open to fill my script that they received yesterday. It seems that Walgreens has a hard time getting my kid the medication in time in the past 2 months. The pharmacists are super polite to tell that due to the holiday or due to the weekend, the medicines are not here. Sounds reasonable, right? It would be reasonable if someone needs medications daily, his life won't be affected without them on weekends and holidays. I needed photos printed and because my photos were from a shoot that I paid for.. they wouldn't let me print them without permission from the photographer. I had a receipt for the payment to the photographer for the shoot and an email from the photographer giving permission to print the photos, but Ralph was on a power trip and said that wasn't sufficient. When I asked what I needed to have in order to be able to print them, he refused to give me any information and said an email would be sufficient but of course not the email that I had *eye roll*. Riddle me this. . . . why would Walgreens schedule a COVID test @ 1:45 on a Sunday when the pharmacist has scheduled meal breaks from 1:30 - 2:00? I arrived at 1:40 for my 1:45 "appointment " and had to wait until 2:06 -- in my car, at the pharmacy pick-up window. Head-scratchingly unprofessional and shows total disregard for customer service. Two stars is for the pharmacist courtesy and speed once he returned. My recommendation is go elsewhere -- somewhere that values your business. read more

I came here specifically for crispy M&Ms and I found them! They were on sale too! This place was very organized and everything was easy to find. There were a lot of deals going on. The selection for ice cream was a little limited but all well. The snacks were super cheap! The staff were friendly and helpful. They set me up for a card right away and joked around. The head pharmacist runs by her own rules. I had my class II meds filled here for years and then she refused to fill them any longer. I see a Pain Specialist out of TO, same medication every month for years. Then when Walgreens gets in trouble for over filling opioids this pharmacist goes against Walgreen's own rules and refuses to fill valid Pain Specialists prescriptions! I'm in constant pain, Walgreens in Moorpark has drive through that was so nice for monthly refills. But not anymore! No reason given other than She has the right to refuse! Other pharmacist apologized but could do nothing. Getting all meds from Costco! Thank you Costco! But very inconvenient since no drive through and closed Sundays. I went to Walgreens this morning, 9:15am to get my flu shot as I do each year. The pharmacy attendant gave me my history of flu shots these past years so we could identify what I needed. The attendant wanted me to make an appointment to get my shots on my iPhone. There was one person waiting and he said with no appointment I could be waiting for 30 minutes and if someone showed up for their appointment I would be waiting longer. Well I went across the street to CVS and got my flu shot within 5 minutes. Walgreens has lost a good customer. read more

Wow!! I read the Yelp reviews but I was hoping that it was not true about the pharmacist. I have a pain management doctor I have been seeing for 8 years gave me a prescription, I tried to fill them and they said they would not fill my prescription until they had a full explanation on why I'm on this medication before they would even think about filling it... I definitely agree if a Doctor gives you a legitimate prescription I do not think the pharmacist should question a doctor. Walgreens must have gotten in some Crazy trouble for something in the past because this in 8 years was a first. I love my mom and pops pharmacies because they still care about the patient they are working with... they don't automatically treat you like you are a criminal over some medications that a pain management doctor has prescribed! waited one hour to get shingles vaccination even though i had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. before making the appointment i went to the pharmacy with my insurance cards that were run by a gentleman there and was told that the vaccination would be no charge. today i was told that the fee would be 196.00. no one could tell me if this was for both shots needed or for just the first one. i was told that once i made the second appointment they would tell me if i would have to pay again. WHO DOES THIS????? addition they took 2 customers that arrived AFTER me with NO appointment before i got my vaccination. when i asked the pharmacist about this i was told they were busy and everyone had an appointment! i kindly told her i was sitting there when they checked in and told the person at the counter they did not have an appointment. the response was oh! this is an ongoing issue at the moorpark pharmacy. very slow service, not sense of urgency. there were several people behind me that were also grumbling about the service or lack there of!! i have my prescriptions there as well and it took 11 months to get 5 prescriptions synced so i could pick them up all together even went in no less than 7 times to get this rectified even though i was assured each time i went in that the next pick up would resolve the issue. ended up requesting all new prescriptions from my dr and cancelled the existing ones. i will be switching to an online pharmacy so i do not have to deal with this ineptness. ive given it over a year but they can not seem to get it right!! very sad since i attempt to by locally. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR COVID VACCINE HERE. This location should be shut down and should not be be authorized to distribute covid vaccines. They are SO unorganized. I had an appointment for my second dose at 4:00pm. I arrived at 3:45 as my email confirmation said to arrive 15 mins early. There was ONE pharmacist on duty and Maybe 8 other workers. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes (even though there was only one other person in front of me) a man named Joe helped me. He asked me 10 or so questions about if I had symptoms, etc. and then said please wait to the side. So I waited another 5-10 mins until walking up and saying again that I had an appointment for a vaccine and the pharmacist said oh where's your paperwork? I said what paperwork? Joe then gave me the paperwork...why didn't he give it to me when he "checked me in"? The pharmacist herself was very kind (and didn't even work at that location-she was from a Beverly Hills location) but this location is overwhelmed and doesn't have the man power to get vaccinations done. Joe is incapable of following simple directions and appeared to be overwhelmed the entire 2 hours I was there. My fiancé also had an appointment at 4:15pm for his second dose and they wouldn't give it to him because he was 8 hours shy of his 21 days even though we called previously and Walgreens said it was fine to get it 8 hours early. So his vaccine went to waste because they refused to give it him. Find another place to get vaccinated and shut this place down from giving vaccines. read more

As a med school grad I caution you to AVOID this place. Most refills require a 30 day wait. Most controlled substance require your doctor to call it in. That's fine, but these pharmacists GO BY THEIR OWN RULES. You might find yourself out of your meds even after thirty days because they refill using the LAST TIME you picked up your meds not when the thirty days has expired. If you were sick, and had to wait two or three days to pick them up after the 30 day period, or were out of town, or broke your leg they will tack on the extra days so you will have to wait until the date you last picked up your 'script'. Even if its five or six days. I told the pharmacy manager this was at least unethical if not illegal and wondered how they came up with this. She said their 'staff' met and "decided" this was the best way of avoiding the abuse of controlled substances. Huh? You mean if I waited longer to pick them up the last time that means I'm abusing them? Wouldn't that be the case if I wanted them EARLIER than scheduled? I don't think this ridiculous inconvenience is going to stop teens from doing smack in middle America. read more

my experiences here so far have been great. I was in a pinch and had to stop and get a few items before a night out and the staff had a great attitude. Another time I went there because I was sick and needed a couple of comforting medicines and lotion tissues and their prices are reasonable. Very dishonest business. I bought some bags for presents that are clearly marked (printed on the bag) for $ 2.49 but at check out they scan it for $ 2.99. When I complained, they said that $ 2.49 was Hallmark's suggested price and that Walgreen is selling it for $ 2.99 and nothing they can do about it. WTF. Normally merchants honor the price that is displayed not what shows up on register. What is stopping them for charging $300 for something on display for $250 just because that's they way it is?. The only reason this is getting 3 stars instead of 1 star is because of how well mannered the two gentlemen at the front were in finding a solution to the issue. They are the only reason I may be coming back to have the same service done to my other VCR tapes. However, I should have trusted my instinct and went to Costco for this. I went to transfer my parents anniversary VCR tape into a DVD from their services. Filling out all the information and walked away without anything, which was my mistake as I should have asked for my ticket, and 2 months later I didn't have a DVD and the priceless VCR was gone. I was put through the phone and put on hold and transferred 4 times because people didn't know what to do. I understand mishaps happen, however, the first question I was asked was,"Did you call the store to see if your item was ready for pick up?" The purpose of me giving my contact information, was for them to notify me when it was ready. Additionally, after speaking to a very nice gentlemen, I was informed IT WAS SOLD TO ANOTHER PERSON THE DAY BEFORE. He managed to contact that person and they brought it back, and charged me for only half the service. I will say mistakes happen. This one was a big oops. HOWEVER, the employees really really tried to fix the situation which speaks VOLUMES about how much they really cared. read more

Let's see. I switched to them after moving to Moorpark (just a few months ago). Since then they have managed to a screw up communicating with me about 4 times. It started with them NOT calling or texting me when my prescription was ready then giving me major attitude when I called days later to find out the status: "we put them back because you never picked them up" ‍ ok fine, everyone is allowed a freebie. So the lady sent me a test text to make sure it was finally working. Finally we were back on track. Now I'm getting texts but they're telling me my prescriptions are ready when they haven't even been run through the insurance they have on file. So I go thru the drive thru to pick up only to find that they cashed them out because they didn't know they we're supposed to go under insurance (what?!). I had waited 5 minutes in line and chose to get out of the way because 4 cars were behind me, so I went inside only to find out that my insurance had to approve them first. More wasted time. Even though I had these same exact drugs prescribed by the same doc last month when they ran it under that insurance- they somehow didn't bother to look and see how it was going to be paid for/covered. I dunno, maybe they never have enough staff to do this stuff right but I'm over it already. I'm switching to another pharmacy. Too many simple screw ups and really bad service for having only been there a few months. I'll go to a small pharmacy. Their service is always better. My very first interaction with a clerk was all attitude anyway after I asked a basic question about their policies. I should have known from that experience to not give them a shot. read more

This review is for the Fedex location inside this store. Do not, under any circumstances, drop a Fedex Ground package here. I had a package that needed to be returned to a store online. It was already labeled and ready to go. I asked them to scan it in and the gentlemen happily did so and I received an email receipt. What he neglected to tell me was that Fedex Ground rarely comes to their location! I brought my package last Wednesday evening and Friday I noticed it still hadn't been picked up. I called and the manager told me that Fedex Ground picks up "sporadically". I asked "What does that mean? Do they come once a week or every couple days?" She told me they are supposed to come daily but they don't. Great, really helpful. I checked this morning and it STILL hadn't moved. I had to call Fedex and inquire. Only then did it get picked up. If they call themselves a Fedex location, it would have been nice if they would have called Fedex to make sure a customers package is picked up and not sitting there for 5 1/2 days! read more

This pharmacy has been my pharmacy for 4 years. I have been on pain meds for the last four years. In the last few months, I have been working with my pain management doctor to reduce and eventually get off the meds after I have a long awaited surgery. Working with my doctor- who knows my history- I have reduced my number of pills from 120 to 80. I'm okay with the reduction, I asked for it. I am aware of the addictive nature of the meds, and it was my choice to start weaning off the stuff. I am not a feening addict. HOWEVER...this pharmacist informed me that she won't fill my prescription next month unless and I quote "the doctor either reduces the number you're prescribed or changes the strength OR TYPE of medication he's prescribing you". Herein lies the problem and I freaking DEFY Walgreen's to respond...Where does this pharmacist get off second guessing my doctor? And who is she to say what a trained medical professional with an outstanding honest reputation prescribes to his patients? This second guessing by this pharmacist, who as she turned her back and walked away while I was in mid question, blathered something about a new policy, which of course she wouldn't expound on or show me the "new policy". Next month, I will be taking my prescription right back to her, unchanged, and will file a complaint against her when she refuses. There ARE people who need these meds for a time, and the pharmacist thinking it's ok to go out-guessing a specialist boggles my mind. read more

Came to this Walgreens after school since it was closer than the one near my home. The cashier was extremely rude and just sat there with her phone and ignored me for a good minute. Everyone else in the store was very polite and helpful especially the manager that helped me.
